  • Absolutely gorgeous views

"The condo was very nice and the views were spectacular. We saw a pod of dolphins swim by early one morning while enjoying coffee on the lanai. Shower head in the master bedroom was not the best likely needs to be replaced. Path to private beach more treacherous than we as a group could traverse (friend has had both hips replaced) but worth it for those that made the journey. There is an easy, paved stairway path down to the other more public beach by The St Regis a very short walk from the condo (about 1/8 mile) so we all were able to all enjoy the beach together. Kitchen fully stocked and it was great being able to make breakfast at the condo and enjoy the marvelous views. Omelets one day, bacon and eggs another and waffles the next. Everything you need is there. If we ever make it back to Kauai we will stay again. We enjoyed the Sunset views with drinks and appetizers from the St Regis balcony one night it was beyond description. Would highly recommend the Dolphin restaurant (15 minute drive) at least once."

  • Amazing place and location!

"Walter, can't thank you enough for sharing your wonderful property with my family of 4 (inc 2 young adult kids). I have to say that we were impressed from the minute we walked through the front door! The first thing out of my son's mouth was: "Do we really have to leave this place?" It was night when we arrived so we did not know what the view was going to really be like until morning. What a way to wake up!! We only had 4 nights in your property, but wished for more... It was so very comfortable. We usually have trouble sleeping for the first couple of nights on a trip, but the beds were so wonderful that we had no issues at all. The sounds of the ocean, not far away, were lulling us to sleep, and wishing us a good day when we awoke. The back bedroom, although smaller than the master, was adequate for my kids, even though they are opposite genders, and the breeze coming in their room through the windows was FANTASTIC! I almost wanted to sleep in there! Everything we needed was provided, and it was such a welcoming home to come back to after a long rigorous day of hiking the Na Pali Coast. I am so sorry that I never found the time to write in your guest book. I had fully intended to. I hope you print this and include it for other guests to read. You have a real slice of heaven there, and I hope that you have the chance to use it yourself every now and again. Thank you for all of the information that you sent us as well ahead of time. All the info on golf courses and restaurants really came in handy! My son and I got to play the Makai course one day while my husband and daughter enjoyed the shops and galleries in Hanalei. Although the sand traps were utterly frustrating, we enjoyed every minute of our time playing together and taking pictures of the stunning views from the course! I hope someday to return again...Hawaii has been in my soul since I was 9 years old, and I think this trip cemented the same into my children. Mahalo nui loa!"

  • Marvelous

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a lovely time relaxing at Puu Poa 401. The lanai's are large and inviting. The views are spectacular. The interior is well appointed and the kitchen is adequately equipped. As mentioned in another review, the 2nd bedroom did not have air-conditioning and cross ventilation was difficult. Fortunately, we only used the master bedroom which was quite comfortable. I loved the large Jacuzzied tub. If we were traveling with another couple, we would choose another unit with air-conditioning throughout."

  • Beautiful Place in Princeville!

"My family and I spent a wonderful 11 days in this beautifully appointed condo at Puu Poa. #302 has everything you could possibly need for a fantastic visit in Kauai - no need to buy all the extras for going to the beach - everything is here for you to use, snorkel equipment, straw mats, beach towels, cooler, umbrellas, noodles! : ) The furnishings in this home are out of this world, a kitchen that is well equipped and the whole place just says "Welcome"! Lots of space here. Sitting directly above Hideaway Beach and next door to the St. Regis Hotel, you will spend your time out on the lanai overlooking the ocean (day AND night) and are just a short drive away from the gorgeous north shore beaches and lovely Hanalei. I highly recommend a drink at the St. Regis bar at sunset! This was my first trip to Kauai and it did not disappoint. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home for a vacation we'll never forget!"
