  • Wonderful Views and Location

"The location of Sea Lodge C-1 with its fabulous ocean views was wonderful, and there were many beautiful, small and less crowded beaches within a short driving distance. The condo was clean with new kitchen cabinets and counters, tiled flooring and carpeting in the upstairs loft bedroom, although the living area was rather sparsely furnished. We visited the library often for books and movies. Our stay was delightful and we would return."

  • Amazing views, great location.

"Firstly, Linda was great. We weren't exactly the most communicative guests, but she checked in on us several times before the trip to make sure we had all the information and tips for Kauai that we needed, and then she checked in again on our arrival day to make sure that everything in the property was good to go (it was). The condo has all the basic amenities you'd want (cable, wifi, kitchen with plenty of dishes to use for eating in, beach equipment, etc.). Everything was clean and ready to go. The view from the condo is incredible. First pic here is through the living room window, second just outside the window. https://i.imgur.com/oaEKj6g.jpg https://i.imgur.com/6sg8ZLj.jpg You can basically see the ocean, Anini Beach (I think), and the surf hitting the reef from any window, and the trade winds blowing in were great for sitting by the window and relaxing. We also got some visitors (geese, chickens, anoles) that were pretty fun to watch moving around outside. The condo is also a quick drive from Princeville's shopping center and Hanalei Town/Bay, all of which make for great eating or relaxing and swimming (Pink's Ice Cream is amazing). We also did a bit of driving around to go to Waimea Canyon, the Kalalau Trail (to Hanakapi'ai falls-- we're not impressive enough for the full trail!), Kapa'a, Kalihiwai Beach, and Eleele for a Na Pali sailing cruise, and it never felt too inconvenient going from Princeville to those places. It's a bit of a drive out to the south shore if you're going multiple days in a row, but not too bad, and the views on the drive are still great. The only negative, which wasn't really much of a problem, is that sometimes folks walk in front of the condo, and with the windows open for a breeze (a must IMO), it feels a little lacking in privacy. There are big curtains that can be drawn with the windows open, though they blow around a lot if they're not tucked aside. We decided pretty quickly that it was much better to have the views than worry about passersby, and it was still a pretty rare occurrence anyway. So overall, a great rental, great owner, incredible views. Highly recommended."

  • Well above expectations

"The Hula Hut doesn't have the greatest photos, but we took a chance based on the price and solid reviews from others. We are happy we did. The condo was perfect for my wife and I - clean, upgraded since the photos, filled with thoughtful touches (snorkel gear, beach chairs, etc.) and with a stunning location atop the cliffs overlooking the reef. Jana (the owner) was easy to coordinate with and responsive to questions. Sealodge is a quiet complex, which suited us just fine. I'd highly recommend this unit to anyone planning a trip to Princeville."

  • Great condo :)

"To be honest, I was a bit suspicious as to what we would find but while the outside of the building is a bit dated, the inside was great. Layout was simple, but everything we needed and well presented. The bed is comfy and we both slept well. The views from the lanai were awesome and simply stunning from the clifftop. The beach is a 5 minutes walk which we really enjoyed. Rain meant the track was really slippery to the beach the first day, so we turned back but by the next day it had dried out and we easily made it down to the beach and timed it just right to have it all to ourselves. The ocean breeze meant the apartment kept cool and we didn't miss or need air conditioning at all. The kitchen is well stocked with what we needed for cooking, etc. The condo was clean and well presented and stocked with everything we needed including snorkeling gear, beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrella, and extra fans (which we didn't use as the ceiling fans and breeze were enough). Parking was easy. Other guests were all very friendly. We had one night where there was a party across the valley and we shut the windows all up, but even that was all quiet by 10pm. The rest of the time it was quiet and peaceful and a great place to relax and unwind after busy days snorkling and out exploring. Leila, the owner was excellent to deal with with prompt communication and information. It was the perfect option for us as we don't like resorts. It's a great place to base yourself from to explore the eastern and northern parts of the island. Overall a great stay and we'd happily stay there again."
