"Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Ocean View, two bedroom, wind whips and it reminded me of the movie Rebecca. Wonderful experience. They have activities like a food a truck, happy hour with prises."

  • Wonderful House

"This was a GREAT house for our family of four (with two grown sons - they each got their own room). We visited in July 2016, and the house was fantastic - so comfortable, with a great layout, wonderful feel, and a perfect location on a nice cul-de-sac but just minutes away from the beach and town. And the views from the upper bedroom were simply amazing - both mountain and ocean views. This was one of the favorite rentals we have had in Hanalei,a nd we have been here many times. And Kauai Island Vacations was SO helpful - letting us check in early to move refrigerated things from one rental to another - Joanne and her gang were so wonderful and accommodating. Mahalo!"

  • Great Condo

"Our family enjoyed staying at Pali Ke Kua around Christmas time this year. The condo itself was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The kitchen is nice and new, although we didn't use it very much. The cliff-top setting is pretty cool. We couldn't really enjoy the closest beaches as in winter the water tends to be high and the surf quite rough (great for surfing), but very close by in Hanalei Bay the water was swimmable and the boogie boarding was great. Plus it is has absolutely beautiful scenery. The Princeville shopping area was handy for the Foodland market and we enjoyed the Chinese/Thai place at the "Food Court" (which had maybe 3 restaurants). Anini Beach was also beautiful and calm enough for snorkeling (not many fish but lots of sea turtles!). The North Shore is very lush and Princeville is nice and peaceful but be aware in winter there are more limitations on what you can do here and also plentiful rain (although it rained mostly at night). On a rainy day (we had maybe one or two out of 7) you can just drive a bit and you'll find some sun on the East or South Shore. Also the pool and hot tub at Pali Ke Kua are nice and not at all crowded."

  • Wonderful beach house for a large group - everything you need and more

"We had a large family group across three generations staying for 10 days. Eight adults, three kids and two toddlers. Hale HaHa was ideal for the large group. There were more than enough bedrooms, two living spaces (including the relaxing lanai) and lots to do downstairs in the play area (ping pong, pool table) and gear supplied (snorkeling and boogie boards). We loved being within walking distance of the beach, although regularly rode the supplied bikes or drove up to the quiet end of Hanalei. A short walk to town for shave ice and last minute shopping was also crucial to our vacation enjoyment. Susan was incredibly helpful and attentive throughout our stay and checked in regularly to ensure we were happy and satisfied, making plenty of great suggestions. She even dropped off some delicious taro bread, which was just one of the local delicacies we tried :) The north shore of Kauai is my favourite part of Hawaii - incredibly green, relatively quiet, stunningly beautiful and with a number of kid friendly beaches (Anini, Hanalei, Tunnels etc). We will undoubtedly be back."
