A good condo with some caveats
"We just returned from a one week stay in this condo 24-A and enjoyed our visit overall.
About the condo:
-Condo is furnished and decorated nicely, and maintained well. It is an end unit in building 24.
-Kitchen is updated nicely.
-Location within the complex is nice, with a large open lawn adjacent.
-Neighbors are friendly.
-Internet is fast.
-Mattresses are very, very soft, and not suitable for anyone who needs a firm mattress.
-All 4 parking spots for this building were taken on a few occasions, so had to go looking for a visitors spot somewhere else.
-Sound travels easily between units (through open windows/doors) due to the configuration and proximity.
-Second TV in the bedroom is an old small CRT.
The trail to Wyllie beach is short but very steep.
Twice previously we had stayed on the east shore and found it convenient. This time we chose the north shore for a change. This added about 45 minutes to the driving time if we wanted to go to Kapa'a or further south such as to Poipu. It took over 2 hours to get to Waimea Canyon. Those considering the North Shore should keep this in mind."

"We just returned for a 10 day stay. This was our first trip to the North Shore of Kauai and we loved every bit of it. Everything was perfect for our group of 3 adults & 3 kids. Plenty of beach & snorkel gear to go around. Fully equipped kitchen, lots of towels, well maitained and clean. Bike rides through the area is a must. The views from atop the resort are stunning. We did frequent visits to Hanalei which is a 5-10 min drive away. So many shops and local places to eat here. Annini Beach is a 10 min drive south, well worth seeing with a very nice, soft, sandy beach. We scored some fresh Ahi from a fisherman across the street here. The Beach out front of St Regis was great with lots of reefs to snorkel around. And though not a guest of the resort, you can get an outside table for a drink & lunch. Not a bad walk, but If you drive , Parking here is very limited, we valet parked (Free, but tip the attendant) at the St Regis and hauled our chairs and beach gear down the trail - entrance just left of the entrance booth. Be prepared for a stair climb down, and back up. Worth every step. Cannot say enough about this house and the Princeville area. The only thing that would prevent us from booking this again would if we did not have enough people to utilize the space."

Great and very comfortable condo with a wonderful view.
"Pua Poa 209 was a great place to stay. Everything we could possibly need was provided and in good working order. The furniture was comfortable and the the view from the lanai was amazing. The property in general was very well maintained and parking was ample. We first arrived on a day that was without trade winds and the condo was very hot. This was expected because it had been closed up. There is no AC but the several fans rapidly cooled the condo and our stay was very comfortable. There was a continuous cool breeze from the second bedroom through the living room and out to the lanai our entire stay. The bed in the master bedroom was exceptionally comfortable and we slept better than we had in a long time. Walter was a pleasure to deal with. He was very responsive to our questions and went way out of his way to accommodate our travel plans and make our stay even better. We have visited Kauai many times (10+) over the years and have stayed at many different condos and cottages and would rate Pua Poa 209 high on the list, and would recommend it to any of our family or friends."

"We came to Kauai to get married on the beach with our three daughters and this was the perfect home base! The most impressive part of this condo is the view- you can't beat it! The perfect place to eat breakfast and listen to the birds and look out over the ocean -typically with a rainbow- is on that lanai. I've never stayed in a more magical place. Our kids loved the loft and having the high ceilings made the condo feel huge! The beds were so comfortable like sleeping on clouds! The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, silverware, pots and pans. There were lots of ice chests, beach chairs, tennis rackets and balls, ect. I couldn't be happier with our condo choice!"
