  • A wonderful vacation

"We had a wonderful month on Kauai with the family. Kauai has the most amazing beaches and we were at one or more every day of our stay. It is so relaxing. You can be as relaxed or as active as you want to be. So many fun things to do. The house was comfortable and in a convenient location. Everything was as described. There were plenty of towels and linens. Having a washer and dryer was great with six people using towels everyday.. We had a couple of minor issues at the house but Frank, the maintenance man, was right there and made things right. Both Frank and Michelle, the housekeeper, were very nice and accommodating. My five year old granddaughter thought we should buy the house instead of rent. She was ready to move to Kauai!"

  • Beyond all expectations!

"This was our first trip to Kauai and we stayed for two weeks. From start to finish, the whole experience and trip could not have been more perfect and romantic! The owners were very, very helpful and accommodating. We felt like a king and queen in a private castle! The house is in Princeville on the North Shore of Kauai and conveniently located with a short ride to beaches, shops and markets. The grounds of the house are quite lush, with all sorts of trees and flowers and birds gathering and singing throughout the day. And yes, there are reminders of island life with chickens and rosters ambling through and on the move so no big deal. Actually, I welcomed the quaint sight and sounds of the roosters - they beat the heck out the sound of NYC garbage trucks 24-7! The house is fully set-up, multi-windowed and the rooms have ceiling fans and there are additional floor standing fans. All the snorkeling equipment, boogie boards, beach chairs, etc. are housed in the garage. The kitchen and outside grill provide choices for where and how to cook and eat “home” to take a break from restaurants. Sitting outside in the back deck area is lovely as the trees and vegetation create a great dense visual wall between properties. The clothes washer and dryer facilities were a plus – especially to return home with clean clothes. The master bedroom and two- sink bathroom were very comfortable and stocked with sheets, blankets, towels, soaps, etc. Upstairs included several bedrooms but we especially loved the lanai (an outside veranda/sitting room) for reading or having coffee while watching the palm trees sway or catching a rainbow. The beaches - Hanalei, Anini, Tunnels- are very, very close - and simply breathtakingly beautiful and clean and sandy; the shells are unlike anything we had seen; even if it rains for a few minutes, find shelter because we saw double rainbows on several days!!! Be sure to get to Queens Bath - spectacular and worth the hike and watching waves crash upon lava rocks!!! We highly recommend working with the owners and staying at this house; you will not be disappointed."

  • Great Condo - HBR lacking

"Lisa's condo is fantastic - well appointed and comfortable. Beautiful kitchen with everything one needs to cook and feel relaxed. Washer and Dryer in unit is a big big plus. Bed is way comfortable with a memory foam top. Hanalei Bay Resort needs work! Bali Hai restaurant not open - hasn't been in sometime. There is "work" being done but at the pace I witnessed don't expect it open anytime soon. Pumps for the water features in the pool were broken with no time frame on replacement. Pool bar not yet in service but "soon"."

  • Comfortable seaside condo

"This condo is perfect for couples or a family who would like a quiet and beautiful launchpad for exploring the north shore. The ocean views from the living and bedrooms are outstanding. The condo is well outfitted with comfortable over-sized furniture and beach necessities (towels, cooler, snorkeling gear). My husband and I found ourselves wishing we had bikes to ride around the condo areas of Princeville, but otherwise everything we needed was right there."
