  • Peaceful Honeymoon!

"My husband and I were here for our honeymoon and we had the most perfect time. The property is so well thought out and considerate. We really had no need for anything. One of my favorite parts was simply seeing the lush greenery surrounding us through every window. Thank you so much for providing the perfect backdrop as we begin this new chapter together!"

  • Gorgeous property and perfect location

"We had a wonderful experience during our stay in Kauai when we stayed at Lihi Kai. The location was perfect. It is only a 4-5 min walk to Tunnels beach where we snorkeled everyday. The swimming in front of the property wasn't possible during the majority of our stay due to high surf but we enjoyed watching the turtles from the deck and from the beach right in front of the house. We loved being so close to Tunnels where we would swim and watch the sunset. It's surreal. It's also a 10 min drive to Hanalei Bay where the kids could jump off of the pier and boogie board. This location also puts you very close to Ke'e Beach and the start of the Kalalau Trail which I would also recommend. The property itself is well maintained and we enjoyed the beautiful landscaping around the house. The kitchen has everything you need to make meals and we used the grill on the deck almost every night. The beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms are spacious. I can't say enough about Julie the property manager who was very available if we needed something but not intrusive. She is amazing. I would highly recommend this property if you want a true Kauai experience."

  • Relaxing peaceful escape!

"My husband and I had an amazing and relaxing week staying at the Song of the Jungle, and would love to come again! Every morning we awoke to jungle birds singing, without any noises of traffic or people. We loved having our breakfast out on the deck, listening to the birds and enjoying the solitude of nature. The bedrooms are perfect, with a total of 3 beds to choose from. The main bedroom has an extremely comfortable bed. There is another bed in the kitchen (there was some clicking noise from the fridge, but it was minimal. We liked how the curtains tied up during the day for light, and we could put them all down at night to make this room feel private), and the third bed on the lanai is very close to nature (your head is right next to the screen, so all of the nature noises - bird calls, breezes, rain - feels like it is right there). We really enjoyed having a kitchen, and outdoor grill, which was adequate to make meals to enjoy on the small deck. We appreciated that Dawn has kindly left items that were helpful for beach outings, such as a cooler with freezer packs in the freezer, beach chairs, snorkel gear, plenty of sets of beach towels, etc. Also that we could use the washer/dryer as needed. The outdoor shower is divine. Just a last note - The location is perfect for people who love Hanalei/northern Kaua'i. It was very close to Tunnels beach , Ke'e beach (great sunset location). However, on the days where we explored the rest of the island (Waimea canyon, Poipu), it was quite a lot of driving. It is not easy to zip back and forth from the rental to town and back multiple times a day. The road from Hanalei to the rental is narrow and winds around continually, with several one lane bridges, and it requires a lot of concentration. This makes the area feel removed, which we loved. Driving this at night or in rain can be tricky. It could be dangerous if you are planning to go out each night in Hanalei and drink alcohol, etc.. However, it was perfect to spend the majority of our time locally and a few longer day trips. Also, the driveway is pretty steep and a bit slippery in the rain. We parked at the bottom and walked up as needed. We loved Song of the Jungle. Dawn was sweet, friendly and kind. On the day that we checked out, she even let us come back in the late afternoon after our day at the beach, to take showers in the outdoor shower before we headed to the airport for a late flight home. We really appreciated this. We hope to be back!"

  • Magical Week in Paradise

"We had an extended family group of 14 people stay here through the week of July 4th, and everyone went away wanting more. Both the main house and the tree house were well appointed with all the amenities to feel at home. We did most of our cooking in the main house and the bbq below. There were plenty of pots, pans, cooking utensils, dishes, glasses, etc. to cook and serve a meal for all of us, with plenty of space to sit and enjoy the awesome beauty that surrounded us. The best thing about the main house was all the outdoor living space. The North Shore of Kauai is magical and this property with its view of the bali hai mountains and close proximity to the some of the greatest beaches on the planet made all the difference in our family vacation."
