  • Hard to say more but must say something...

"My wife and I travel internationally as often as possible and travel a lot more in the mainland. Coming to Hawaii is always like coming home. Our longtime friends live on Oahu and we love to get together on the other islands and spend time together. I've particularly alway loved Kauai (particularly Hanalei) believing it to be the most beautiful spot on the planet (and there are a lot of beautiful spots out there). We've all been to Kauai numerous times. Imagine our amazement when we found this cottage right on the Hanalei river--it is the perfect place to get away and visit with friends. All the other things were also there. Dealing with Lucas was a pleasure--he always responded to me immediately, was always friendly and helpful, the cottage really was in as good a condition as the pictures show and had everything we needed for our week. The location was perfect as we didn't have to drive anywhere for basics. We loved the Dolphin restaurant and ate there several times and we took advantage of the water-sport rentals right across the canal and generally felt right at home there. It was easy to get to fantastic snorkeling beaches and hiking. I think the double rainbow said it all. The ending was great as well--the cottage was easy to clean and the instructions clear and the day after we got home we had our damage deposit back with a nice note. That's a perfect ending--or beginning of a wonderful relationship. We recommend these cabins without reservation and intend to return."

  • Wonderful beach place

"Wonderful beach access for snorkeling, walks on the beach, swimming and sun sets. Although this property is right near the public beach it is set in a very secluded yard and gives you a ton of privacy. The yard is well maintained and the beach is beautiful. The cottage is cozy and and had everything we needed. Although we did not bring our children on this adventure, this location would be a great place for families with the beach access and great swimming and snorkeling. Very relaxing place that we highly recommend."

  • We did enjoy our stay in a comfortable house

"We - agroup of 10 friends between 50 and 60 years old - spent 5 days. It was our first stay at Hawaii and Kauai. We did like the character of the wooden house. Positive: Comfortable kitchen, gorgeous green garden, not far to the beach, quiet environment (if we neglect the chicken and cocks...), well equipped with beach equipment, two washing machines and dryers, new barbecue. To improve: Some of the bedrooms have not much daylight, please start redecoration of some rooms, paper thin walls."

  • Enjoyable stay in princeville

"We enjoyed our week long honeymoon in Kauai and certainly enjoyed our stay at Alii Kai. The location was really quite great, the condo was nice but showing some wear (washing machine door was having issues, the upstairs shower was leaking into the downstairs shower) but all in all we really enjoyed our time there and would stay there again! Snorkeling gear and beach chairs were a HUGE plus! Thanks for hosting us."
