  • Beautiful Home Away From Home in Paradise!!!

"This is my families second time in Princeville. We absolutely loved Kauai our first time and all wanted to come back again. I was fortunate to be able to make it back to Kauai and stay for an entire month. Staying in a home was much nicer than staying in a hotel. When I arrived I was very impressed at how clean everything was. The floor plan is very open and spacious with views of the mountains and golf course. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need for making meals which saves money. There is a nice patio overlooking the golf course and you can even see the ocean from the bedroom upstairs. It was nice to have the garage and all of the beach gear available. I felt very safe in this gated community and the neighbors were friendly. My children and their spouses each had their own bedroom downstairs which were very comfortable. There were plenty of towels in the bathrooms and beach towels available. The house has very nice furniture and is decorated nicely. There is a nice size dining table and a computer desk. There are three flat screen tvs in the house with plenty of channels available. We enjoyed the pool area that was just a few steps away. The outside is lanscaped beautifully. This was the perfect location for us. It was within walking distance to the Princeville Center for groceries, restaurants, shopping, shave ice, ice cream, post office, park and library. There is also a yoga studio at the Princeville center that my family went to every day. I enjoyed walking on nearby trails. The owners are wonderful people and were very good to work with!! I recommend this place!! Than you so much for renting your home to us. We had a great trip."

  • Want to give it a 5 star but....

"We stayed for a week May 2016. The layout was perfect for our family of 5.5. We were able to have our adult children in the main house with their baby while we enjoyed the separate master suite. The bathroom in the master was really small. The toilet paper holder had no where to go but in the middle of the room. And there was really no space to put toiletries - I had to keep it all on the shelves in the bedroom, just inconvenient. We kept the windows open and the breeze kept us comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked - nothing missing that we needed. And super clean also. There was a great supply of beach towels. The furniture in the living room was icky, but I have since been told it was replaced. The locations was perfect for access to the beach/pier. Sunsets were spectacular. I though parking might be an issue but it was not. Loved being so close to town and appreciated the bikes. Do not miss Tahiti Nui in town. We made use of the surf board using it as a paddle board on the river. We also used the cooler and some other toys so it was great to have those. The yard is huge with a really funky tiki bar. The lanai is awesome! We could sit and people watch all day. The seating was bolted to the ground so you could not move any of it and it was for 4 only which I found odd for a house that rented for 6.The location was terrible for noise. I expected traffic because of the parking lot and lots of people visiting the pier. But it was unbelievable! It wasn't the expected traffic, it was the constant burning out of the parking lot all night. We were jolted out of sleep at 2:00 am, 3:00 am, 4:00 am, 5:00 am - by beach goes who needed to let the world know they were leaving. We watched one evening, and the same truck came and went at least 4 times, fishtailing and showering gravel from the parking lot to the street for at least a hundred feet each time. We noticed the police there quite a few times. So sad but a result of the popularity of the area. The service we received regarding the booking and subsequent questions was outstanding. Immediate reply to all of my emails. Overall, the experience was excellent. Knowing the noise level now, I am not sure we would stay again unless the area was monitored better at night. It was just noise, we never felt unsafe. This issue is out of their control and not a reflection of the management of the house and it is the only reason I could not give it 5 stars."

  • Paradise

"My extended family just returned from a 10 day stay in Hawaii and half of it was spent on Kauai at the Hanalei Bay Resort. We were familiar with the resort when we booked, but the accommodations definitely surpassed our expectations. The resort is lovely - the grounds carefully maintained and the views are spectacular. The tennis courts are really nice and the staff at tennis center are very friendly. Front office staff and bellhops were very friendly and helpful at both check-in and check-out. The pool was great and never crowded. Having the ability to rent equipment there on the beach was convenient and easy. We rented a stand-up paddleboard (SUP) and got good instructions and help for a very reasonable rate. It was a lot of fun and the Hanalei Bay area is perfect for paddleboarding since the water is calm and the Wailua River is very close. The beach at the resort really nice - small but plenty of room for those on it. Lots of reef so fun for kids to explore though it probably wasn't the best swimming beach. There are is also lots of shade options on the beach due to the trees. The unit we stayed it was really nice. Very updated with pretty furnishings. It was clean and well-appointed - everything you'd need in the kitchen to make meals there if you want. Plus lots of beach gear available for use - beach chairs, boogie boards, snorkel gear, cooler,... Hanalei Beach Resort is an idyllic place & we can't wait to return. We would definitely stay in unit 4323 again."
