  • A wonderful and magical place for escape.

"I would highly recommend that anyone looking to get away to the wonders of Kauai's North Shore take advantage of staying at Hale Huna. My trip was planned last minute but Kristi was generously accommodating in the arrangements. The cottage itself is perfect--tastefully decorated, spacious, well appointed, and calming. I was concerned that it was too remote but my fears were completely ungrounded. There were splendid beaches just minutes away and getting to town was easy. The cottage was peaceful without being isolated. Comfortable without being precious. Clean without being restrictive. And instantly relaxing with no stress in the arrangements. I will certainly look to stay there again. A great experience all around. If you are researching places to stay, and this cottage is available. Stop looking and book. It is exactly what you are looking for. You won't regret it."

  • Relaxing peaceful escape!

"My husband and I had an amazing and relaxing week staying at the Song of the Jungle, and would love to come again! Every morning we awoke to jungle birds singing, without any noises of traffic or people. We loved having our breakfast out on the deck, listening to the birds and enjoying the solitude of nature. The bedrooms are perfect, with a total of 3 beds to choose from. The main bedroom has an extremely comfortable bed. There is another bed in the kitchen (there was some clicking noise from the fridge, but it was minimal. We liked how the curtains tied up during the day for light, and we could put them all down at night to make this room feel private), and the third bed on the lanai is very close to nature (your head is right next to the screen, so all of the nature noises - bird calls, breezes, rain - feels like it is right there). We really enjoyed having a kitchen, and outdoor grill, which was adequate to make meals to enjoy on the small deck. We appreciated that Dawn has kindly left items that were helpful for beach outings, such as a cooler with freezer packs in the freezer, beach chairs, snorkel gear, plenty of sets of beach towels, etc. Also that we could use the washer/dryer as needed. The outdoor shower is divine. Just a last note - The location is perfect for people who love Hanalei/northern Kaua'i. It was very close to Tunnels beach , Ke'e beach (great sunset location). However, on the days where we explored the rest of the island (Waimea canyon, Poipu), it was quite a lot of driving. It is not easy to zip back and forth from the rental to town and back multiple times a day. The road from Hanalei to the rental is narrow and winds around continually, with several one lane bridges, and it requires a lot of concentration. This makes the area feel removed, which we loved. Driving this at night or in rain can be tricky. It could be dangerous if you are planning to go out each night in Hanalei and drink alcohol, etc.. However, it was perfect to spend the majority of our time locally and a few longer day trips. Also, the driveway is pretty steep and a bit slippery in the rain. We parked at the bottom and walked up as needed. We loved Song of the Jungle. Dawn was sweet, friendly and kind. On the day that we checked out, she even let us come back in the late afternoon after our day at the beach, to take showers in the outdoor shower before we headed to the airport for a late flight home. We really appreciated this. We hope to be back!"

  • Perfect Kauai Getaway

"We stayed here for our honeymoon on Kauai and could not have picked a better place. My wife loved the fact that it was on an organic farm and loved having the trees everywhere. Lisa, our landlord, was super accommodating and provided us with the best coconut water we've ever had, organic milks and snacks, fresh fruit, and some awesome coffee. The outdoor shower and tub were great too! For visitors from the mainland, know that this is Hawaii and you are in a more treed and moist area which means you get some mosquitos, cockroaches, and spiders. If you make sure to close the doors, they stay outside and I'd suggest mosquito repellent to those who don't like mosquitos. The nights provided a nice breeze so although there is no AC, the temperature was always great. For future renters who are looking to get away from the city life, find a cute small place for just the two of you or just you, have a home located centrally between Lihue and Hanalei, and just want to relax with your fresh cup of coconut water or coffee and a tray of delicious fruit, THIS IS YOUR VACATION RENTAL. Thank you Lisa!"

  • Exceptional Vacation

"Lovely condo, amazing view, and wonderful surroundings. We came in late and woke up the next morning to tropical bird calls and a glorious Bali Hai mountain and Hanalei Bay view. From our condo we also saw the west end of the famous pool, fabulous lush tropical landscaping, and the west end of the newly opened Lounge. The Happy Talk Lounge is family friendly and one evening we ate a delicious dinner there while the Hawaiian musicians welcomed the guests of all ages to join in to learn the Hula dance. We listened to the live music nearly every night while sitting on our lanai along side of the illuminated palm trees and experienced the warm romantic tropical trade winds. My son was excited to see the great boogie board selection and tennis rackets in his closet and I was pleased to see the Ovente hot plate and electric griddle for quick food preparation in the kitchenette cabinets. The kitchenette was well stocked with supplies for small meal preparation. The Hanalei Bay Resort staff was very friendly and it was a pleasure booking the condo with David who promptly answered all my questions. We plan to return to this paradise next year. Aloha, Laura M"
