  • Step out of the jungle into Shangri-La

"Down a twisty road and over a bridge you come to a secluded dwelling. The cottage is rustic and inviting. Inside is very spacious with pristine decorations. As you go from room to room you feel you are in a far away land, like something out of the adventures of Marco Polo. Cheryl was great. She accommodated us a few hours early as we had nowhere to keep our luggage. The place came with all the amenities anyone could want - a full kitchen, giant fridge with an ice maker, a coffee maker, etc. The grounds that the cottage is one are vast and Cheryl invited us to use her pool. But the beach, a nearly empty beach, was just around the corner. Renting a car to get around Kauai is a must. That way you are not missing out on groceries, restaurants, beaches, and hikes. Overall this was an awesome place to stay to explore the North Side of the island!"

  • A PERFECT GEM!

"We have stayed at "A Slice of Paradise" several times and, YES, everything mentioned in the other reviews are correct! What a wonderful place! Views from the condo are breathtaking; the condo, stocked with everything you need, is a home away from home; the location is perfect for exploring the North Shore or just relaxing and enjoying the condo's private spot and views. Thank you Ev for your gracious hospitality and always welcoming us to your wonderful condo. We look forward to our next visit. "A Slice of Paradise" is an amazing gem!"

  • Anini Beach is beautiful

"Great house just steps from the stunning Anini beach (we even saw sea turtles at the beach across from the house.) While not luxurious, the house is very comfortable and has everything you need for a pleasant stay. Our family of five (2 adults, 3 kids under 12) often ventured by car to the end of Anini beach where there was less wind and the waves were even calmer but both ends of the beach had something to offer. For food and restaurants we drove to Princeville and Hanelei Bay (kids decided JoJo's Hawaiian ice was the best) which is an easy drive. We also explored the other north shore beaches - best snorkeling at Tunnels and Hideaway - but they are a lot more crowded than this part of Anini. We had some rain everyday which is to be expected on Kauai so don't be disappointed if it's not all blue skies. Overall, a wonderful place for a family vacation."

  • Hale Mana is wonderful

"From the initial greeting and intro to the property by the owners to our last moments there, this was a great experience. The house is lovely with breathtaking views and all the creature comforts you need (a blender for smoothies is the only addition I would suggest). The concierge with Hawaii Life was extraordinarily helpful in locating a private chef for an anniversary dinner, suggesting restaurants, and pointing us toward the centerpiece for Lomi Lomi massages. A little bit awkward to dispose of garbage at the end of our stay but certainly not enough to diminish our enthusiasm for this wonderful place."
