  • Great condo with everything you need!!

"Just spent 10 days in this beautiful condo which recently had a bathroom and kitchen remodel. The location was perfect with a view of the pool and Ship wreck beach. The grounds were so beautiful and had walking paths everywhere we went. The condo was very spacious and clean, and so comfortable. So nice to have a washer and dryer. The beds were the best!! Felt like home. We loved the amazing breezes we felt flowing through the rooms when the Trade winds blew. Jan the owner was very personable and friendly and had every thing in the condo that you could ever need which was so nice. I totally would recommend this place for anyone to stay. It was the best!"

  • College roommate reunion

"The perfect place for 3 college buddies to reunite with their families. Spacious, secluded, quiet, in a stunning spot on the beach, this is a prime example of a plantation estate. The owners went our of their way to make sure our time there was special, and it was. All of us, children and grandchildren included, had a spectacular week from the early morning coffee on the porch inhaling the tropical fragrance and watching the surfers, to swimming and walking on the beach, to spectacular sunsets in the evening followed by magical views of the milky way. Tucked in at night we drifted off to sleep at night listening to the waves in the distance after a perfect day. If you are looking for unpretentious elegance and beauty this is the place to make lasting memories."

  • Our winter home

"We have been privileged to experience two extended winter vacations at Hale O Ani and are returning again in 2017. That is probably, in and of itself, testimony to how wonderful this property is. But to restate the highlights and some additional insights I would like to share the following, much of which is supported by other reviewers of this outstanding property. First is "quality". Everything, in Hale O Ani is of the highest quality. The dishes, glassware, appliances, bedding, furniture, hardwood floors. The owners Faye and Bob are delightful, fun and responsive to needs and wants and willing to share their insights into interesting side trips. I could go on, but want to mention a few things that have proved important to us; particularly the surrounding area. When you leave Route 50 and drive up the road to the property it feels like entering Jurassic Park! The vegetation is so lush and stunning that in some places it is breathtaking. This sets the stage for a feeling of wonder and tranquility. When approaching the house from the driveway we’ve encountered Sharma Thrush singing their sweet and unusual song along with all sorts of other interesting birds. We have been fortunate enough to pick bananas off the trees in the driveway and stay long enough to eat them! The view of the palm tree from one of the bedrooms is like a live painting and the bougainvillea cascading over the hot tub in full bloom is outstanding. As a matter of fact it is the last picture I took before we left at the end of March. All in all Hale O’ Ani is a fabulous retreat, getaway, hideaway, or whatever one chooses to call it. All we know is that it is soothing to us, both inside the property and outside where it is positioned up in the hills far enough away from the hustle (but not too far) to feel like a sanctuary. We are grateful to be able to leave Upstate NY for most of the winter and now call Hale O’Ani, our winter home. Not visitors, not tourists. We come home in the winter…."

  • Family Holiday

"Family of 6 Adults and 3 children under 5 years of age. The owner was very receptive to all emails and response time was very prompt. The two cottages were ideal for our family and great garden to sit back and relax. Loved the beach being so close ideal for the little ones and great surfing, swimming and snorkelling. Great walks around especially Shipwreck Bay and so many restaurants, especially Brennekes the Service and food was fabulous. Would recommend the cottages to all of my friends what a great place for a family holiday."
