  • Great location, Nice room

"Great location in Kappa, next to coconut market place. Nice clean room with partial sea view, beds were comfortable, there is also a swimming pool and hot pool on property. And there is ample parking. All in all we had a great stay. Hope to visit again soon."

  • Our winter home

"We have been privileged to experience two extended winter vacations at Hale O Ani and are returning again in 2017. That is probably, in and of itself, testimony to how wonderful this property is. But to restate the highlights and some additional insights I would like to share the following, much of which is supported by other reviewers of this outstanding property. First is "quality". Everything, in Hale O Ani is of the highest quality. The dishes, glassware, appliances, bedding, furniture, hardwood floors. The owners Faye and Bob are delightful, fun and responsive to needs and wants and willing to share their insights into interesting side trips. I could go on, but want to mention a few things that have proved important to us; particularly the surrounding area. When you leave Route 50 and drive up the road to the property it feels like entering Jurassic Park! The vegetation is so lush and stunning that in some places it is breathtaking. This sets the stage for a feeling of wonder and tranquility. When approaching the house from the driveway we’ve encountered Sharma Thrush singing their sweet and unusual song along with all sorts of other interesting birds. We have been fortunate enough to pick bananas off the trees in the driveway and stay long enough to eat them! The view of the palm tree from one of the bedrooms is like a live painting and the bougainvillea cascading over the hot tub in full bloom is outstanding. As a matter of fact it is the last picture I took before we left at the end of March. All in all Hale O’ Ani is a fabulous retreat, getaway, hideaway, or whatever one chooses to call it. All we know is that it is soothing to us, both inside the property and outside where it is positioned up in the hills far enough away from the hustle (but not too far) to feel like a sanctuary. We are grateful to be able to leave Upstate NY for most of the winter and now call Hale O’Ani, our winter home. Not visitors, not tourists. We come home in the winter…."

  • The Best Hawaii Property we have Found!

"This unit is incredible! To begin with, the ocean view from the unit is unreal. It also has a very nice back deck that has a great eating table where you can (and should) eat your meals. Watching sunsets at dinner was a great way to wind down after long days of being outside. The unit was well stocked with beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, and snorkeling gear. It has a great washer and dryer (not all units have these in Hawai, we have found) and air conditioning. One of the best features about air conditioning in Kauai is that it provides white noise so you can't hear all of the roosters crowing early in the morning (they are all over the island!). The unit is in small complex, which means you can really utilize the beautiful swimming pool and not feel crowded. Another nice feature is that parking is easy, as the spaces are quite wide (another rarity for space challenged Hawaii). In terms of location, the unit is located within walking distance to a very nice beach in front of the Sheraton and a good overlooked snorkeling place called Koloa Landing (boat ramp) which in my opinion has the best snorkeling on the southern part of Kauai). You can also walk to the two main shopping centers in Poipu from this unit. Overall, if you are looking to have a Kauai vacation, I would strongly recommend this unit. My family of four (2 kids aged 10 and 8) absolutely loved it. I would definitely stay here again if we visit Kauai in the future."

  • Incredible location at Kiahuna Plantation

"Our room was fairly nice, updated. With that said, for the price we paid, we were surprised to find several repairs needed like a clogged bathroom sink. The bedroom could use another dresser. The coach was tired and stained. But, it's location, location, location at Kiahuna Plantation."
