"My husband and I loved our stay for 8 nights in this 1 bedroom condo, on the first floor, with private lanai. It was very clean, comfortable, and very close to the beach, although with no beach view. The view from the lanai is of tropical foliage and the adjacent building. Neighbors in our building and surrounding buildings were very quiet. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, appliances, and cookware, although some items like a steamer basket for vegetables, and covered microwaveable dishes would be a nice addition. There are nearby outdoor gas grills for barbecuing, which are cleaned daily by the staff. The lanai has 2 lounge chairs, and a table and 4 chairs for outdoor dining. The owners have nicely provided 2 boogie boards, beach toys, and beach chairs. The bedroom was small and almost entirely filled by the very comfortable king sized bed, leaving little room to walk around or set up suitcases, although there are bedside tables and a chest of drawers for those who choose to unpack. No AC, but ceiling fans, portable fans, and screened windows provided plenty of ventilation so we were never overly warm. The bathroom had tub/shower combo, ample granite countertops, fluffy towels, hairdryer, and fragrant soap/shampoo/ conditioner in pump containers.
There are TVs in the bedroom and living room (which we never turned on--too much else to do!), radio, comfortable couch and chairs with good light for reading. The decorations are all Hawaii themed and attractive.
Beach towels are available at the beach-side desk, which was also very helpful with information about the area, and for making a reservation for us for a boat trip to the NaPali coast. The complex is very well maintained, with beautiful tropical plants and huge shade trees and palms, winding walkways, and little lakes. The orchid and cactus garden on the property is a beautiful place to stroll. The lawns are huge, well manicured, and perfect for family games. Lawn chairs there are the perfect place to lie and watch the sunsets. The beach is clean, not overly crowded, and has generally low surf. Snorkeling was good along the rocky margins at either end. From Kiahuna Plantation you can stroll down the beach, and through adjacent properties on walkways, for several miles. The location on the sunnier, warmer south shore is perfect, with proximity to Waimea Canyon and Allerton Garden. Nearby Koloa is a fun town to explore, with history exhibits, shops, and restaurants. Perfect vacation!"
