  • Best location EVER!

"My family of 5 stayed at this unit over spring break in March 2016, and we are sure happy we did! Directly across from the ocean (about 20 steps) and the crashing waves will lull you to sleep every night. The unit itself is very well cared for, clean, updated very nicely, and simply the best location in the entire complex. The salt water pool is steps away, and the best beach ever is in front of the Sheraton, just a 5 minute walk. The sunsets are spectacular from either of the two lanais. Full kitchen, dining, laundry, etc. You won't need anything else. Both suites are upstairs with their own bathrooms. There is also a bathroom on the main level. My wife and I had our 3 children ages 14, 12, and 11 and we all had the time of our lives. Boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach toys are all included. Shopping and eating establishments are all a short walk away as well. I won't ever stay at a hotel again. We arrived at the airport, grabbed the rental car, stopped at Costco for groceries, drove to the condo, unpacked, and hit the beach. We cooked breakfast and dinner at the condo, but ate out for lunch. That'll save you a bunch of cash. Cam, the owner of this unit is the best, and he follows through on answering any questions or concerns immediately. Super service, super location. You'll be happy you stayed at this exact unit. It'll be a dream vacation! I can't see anything being better than this."

  • Delightful as always

"Just returned from my 4th stay in this condo. It's so nicely decorated, with lots of amenities, and quality furnishings, cookware, and appliances. It really feels like a home. Love the location. We watched the sunset from the pool every evening, and fell asleep to the sound of waves every night. When we felt like leaving the property, it was so easy to pop over to Poipu Village, Koloa town, or Kukuiula for shopping and dining, and just a short stroll down to the beach. I regularly recommend this place to people I know. We had some friends stop by on our last night in town, and now they are considering renting next time they're in Kauai - they liked it much better than where they were staying. Can't wait to return."

  • Paradise! Perfect in (almost) every way!

"My husband and I loved our stay for 8 nights in this 1 bedroom condo, on the first floor, with private lanai. It was very clean, comfortable, and very close to the beach, although with no beach view. The view from the lanai is of tropical foliage and the adjacent building. Neighbors in our building and surrounding buildings were very quiet. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, appliances, and cookware, although some items like a steamer basket for vegetables, and covered microwaveable dishes would be a nice addition. There are nearby outdoor gas grills for barbecuing, which are cleaned daily by the staff. The lanai has 2 lounge chairs, and a table and 4 chairs for outdoor dining. The owners have nicely provided 2 boogie boards, beach toys, and beach chairs. The bedroom was small and almost entirely filled by the very comfortable king sized bed, leaving little room to walk around or set up suitcases, although there are bedside tables and a chest of drawers for those who choose to unpack. No AC, but ceiling fans, portable fans, and screened windows provided plenty of ventilation so we were never overly warm. The bathroom had tub/shower combo, ample granite countertops, fluffy towels, hairdryer, and fragrant soap/shampoo/ conditioner in pump containers. There are TVs in the bedroom and living room (which we never turned on--too much else to do!), radio, comfortable couch and chairs with good light for reading. The decorations are all Hawaii themed and attractive. Beach towels are available at the beach-side desk, which was also very helpful with information about the area, and for making a reservation for us for a boat trip to the NaPali coast. The complex is very well maintained, with beautiful tropical plants and huge shade trees and palms, winding walkways, and little lakes. The orchid and cactus garden on the property is a beautiful place to stroll. The lawns are huge, well manicured, and perfect for family games. Lawn chairs there are the perfect place to lie and watch the sunsets. The beach is clean, not overly crowded, and has generally low surf. Snorkeling was good along the rocky margins at either end. From Kiahuna Plantation you can stroll down the beach, and through adjacent properties on walkways, for several miles. The location on the sunnier, warmer south shore is perfect, with proximity to Waimea Canyon and Allerton Garden. Nearby Koloa is a fun town to explore, with history exhibits, shops, and restaurants. Perfect vacation!"

  • Phenomenal Views, Perfect Location in Poipu

"We just returned from a one week stay in the penthouse at Poipu Shores (406A). Our family of four (2 teens) LOVED the accommodations. What you see in the pics is exactly what you get. The views from the condo are absolutely spectacular. We loved watching the waves crash against the rocky shoreline. As we watched from the lanai, we saw turtles frolicking in the waves below every day of our vacation. The location of the condo on the south shore is ideal. It is just a 5 minute walk to Brennecke's beach and Poipu Beach Park. Boogie boards and beach chairs were provided in the condo. We made the trek several times daily to play in the ocean waves, have dinner at Brennecke's or to see the seals and sea turtles that would come onshore daily to warm/rest in the sun. If you walk 5 minutes in the opposite direction toward the Hyatt, you can hop on the Mahaulepu Trail for more spectacular ocean views on a walk, hike or morning run. Sunrise and sunsets from the condo cannot be beat. The pool was heated, warm and a nice place to just relax and listen to the waves crash below. Great restaurants and shopping are not a far drive away. Condo is well maintained and provides all the creature comforts of a home away from home."
