  • Most Amazing and Soothing!

"Great stay! The incredible lanai view was so hard to turn away from! Lush greenery, peaceful, mellow gardens, exciting birds, near and distant palms, swaying with the breezes. And, the ocean is a wonderful part of the view – not so close that you hear the noises, but close enough that you see and feel the waves and the surf. Comfortably warm outdoors and, due to the breezes that come in from the open front and out through the lanai door, comfortably cool inside! The condo interior is perfectly fashioned to promote both beauty and comfort. Comfortable furniture placed in a way that you can see the beauty all around you – inside and out. A great TV with all sorts of available channels as well as fast wireless internet access. All sorts of great beach gear. We used the snorkeling masks and fins, convenient food containers... Service was great! Cleanliness, organization of kitchen and bath supplies felt very complete and accessible. The surrounding areas are wonderfully interesting and convenient: Even though you can’t see it from the unit, there is a full shopping center right across the street, including of groceries and all sorts of supplies. And, we loved the live entertainment right next door at the Marriot and the Sheraton. And, all of our questions about what to see where were quickly answered by the Castle front desk. Again, Thanks!"

  • perfect spot!

"we just got back from a week in Kauai- this condo was perfect. It's a 2 minute walk from the beach, has a huge upstairs area for all of us to socialize, had a great kitchen for organizing meals, and 2 beautiful decks. I was worried about it not being an end unit due to noise, and it is perfectly quite. Would highly recommend this unit!!"

  • Love this location

"Kiahuna plantation is a superior place to stay. We've admired the location and grounds on previous trips and finally opted to stay here. We'd highly recommend it - the location is perfect with a good beach and short walk to snorkeling at Poipu. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the short walk across the street to shops, restaurants and the athletic club can't be beat. (Quick note on the athletic club . . . Small pool and spa, great weight room and tennis courts, good cardio room. But, no yoga or other classes except water aerobics. Apparently they had these in the past and may again. I mention this because my wife was looking forward to yoga classes . . . .luckily she found one at the Sheraton next door.) This unit is upstairs and the only one with a second floor entry - the units on either side are two story. The building is a way from the road, so very quiet . . .for the most part. Since there is no a/c anywhere, everyone keeps there door and windows open all the time. You can hear the neighbors when the doors are open, but everyone during our stay kept the noise down (except one night). Also, since sound carries quite a bit, we could hear people partying until 2 a.m. a few nights from neighboring buildings. We mentioned it to security finally, and they managed it. This unit itself is clean but in need of serious updating. The furniturein the family room is shot, the shower door is missing a handle, the dishwasher sticks, the CD player doesn't work, the DVD player sticks, etc. There are no instructions on . . . anything so be resourceful. The owners acknowledged these things . . . after we arrived . . . and indicated that changes were coming. We would definitely stay here again if that takes place. Overall, we mostly loved it . . . it would be a 5 star review if the unit wasn't so tired."

  • We loved our stay on the Kiahuna Plantation!

"We loved our stay on the Kiahuna Plantation! The plantation is in an area close to plenty of restaurants and activities. The condo was clean, had all the amenities you would want on vacation. I loved the porch as it had a place to eat as well as lounge chairs. There were plenty of pots/pans and utensils so we didn’t have to eat out for every meal. The owners gave us some tips on the area which was much appreciated. The beach was super close and it was one of the best beaches I saw on the island. It had enough waves to boogie board and enough beach to layout, there was even a Hawaiian Monk Seal sleeping on the beach one day! The only cons were, the pool was far away and there is no air conditioning. The pool is part of a fitness club across the street, wonderful pool and bar, but it’s not really part of the complex. The unit also did not have air conditioning, which is not unusual in the location, but it would have been nice. I would definitely recommend this place!"
