  • Pretty good lodging in amazing location

"Greg was good to deal with and everything was as advertised. Bed was comfy and condo was in a good location with a short walk through lovely manicured grounds to the ocean. The linens were clean as were the counters etc, however, the place could use a deep clean/fresh coat of paint i.e. there was toothpaste spatter on the walls, the light switches were a bit grimy, and the kitchen is out of date. That said I felt comfortable there and really how much time do you spend inside staring at the walls while in Kauai? It would have been nice if dishwasher tabs had been provided as we never thought to pack them, since I had to go buy some I left a few for the next guest. Staff at the resort/condo were always friendly and helpful and it was nice to be able to go to the beach hut and get fresh towels and book snorkeling trips etc. The barbecues were clean and we enjoyed grilling while looking out at the ocean. As there is no A/C you'll want to sleep with the windows open and while we found the area very quiet I'd suggest packing some earplugs just incase, one night the rain was pouring so hard it woke us up. Local tips The breakfast buffet at the Sheraton next door was pricey but worth it and if you download the "Yelp" app on your phone add them and tell them you get off your meal. If you need sunscreen go down to the beach hut where they sell "Reef Safe" biodegradable sunscreen for only $8, it saved my trip after I had an allergic reaction to "Banana Boat" (seems they changed their formula). Food is expensive in Kauai cheapest place is Costco."

  • Great beach & resort stay!

"Kiahuna Plantation 143 was a great place to stay. The furniture and mattress were new and in good shape. The view was nice, and the second floor breezes were wonderful! This condo was clean and bright, with a high ceiling in the main room. We enjoyed hanging out on the lanai, and the very short walk across the manicured lawn to the beach. We'd be happy to stay here again!"

  • wonderful, as usual

"Renting a bike was fantastic for me. Next year, we will not rent a car, but use Uber to get from the airport. I'll bike to Koloa daily for fish and other stuff. The turtles and seals were on display, and the snorkeling was good."

  • Beautiful building and impressive grounds in the perfect sunny location!

"We just got back from 8 days in this condo. My husband and I went with our 11 and 13 year old kids. It was an incredible time! The condo is in great shape and very well kept. The layout worked very well for us. The location right on Poipu Beach couldn't have been better. I especially enjoyed the orchid gardens and ponds as well as the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. We would go again in a heartbeat!!"
