  • Relaxing Family getaway

"We have been visiting Kauai for more than 20 years. Kiahuna Plantation is a very special place. We had a lovely stay in this unit with its ideal location and beautiful view. there is a quiet patio to enjoy some privacy or you are just a short walk to the many wonderful activities available. We had fun with some snorkeling & boogie boarding. One of our favorite things to do is walk across the street to the local shopping center for ice cream or a great mai tai. thanks for a wonderful stay. we are already booked to come back again next year!!"

  • Pretty good lodging in amazing location

"Greg was good to deal with and everything was as advertised. Bed was comfy and condo was in a good location with a short walk through lovely manicured grounds to the ocean. The linens were clean as were the counters etc, however, the place could use a deep clean/fresh coat of paint i.e. there was toothpaste spatter on the walls, the light switches were a bit grimy, and the kitchen is out of date. That said I felt comfortable there and really how much time do you spend inside staring at the walls while in Kauai? It would have been nice if dishwasher tabs had been provided as we never thought to pack them, since I had to go buy some I left a few for the next guest. Staff at the resort/condo were always friendly and helpful and it was nice to be able to go to the beach hut and get fresh towels and book snorkeling trips etc. The barbecues were clean and we enjoyed grilling while looking out at the ocean. As there is no A/C you'll want to sleep with the windows open and while we found the area very quiet I'd suggest packing some earplugs just incase, one night the rain was pouring so hard it woke us up. Local tips The breakfast buffet at the Sheraton next door was pricey but worth it and if you download the "Yelp" app on your phone add them and tell them you get off your meal. If you need sunscreen go down to the beach hut where they sell "Reef Safe" biodegradable sunscreen for only $8, it saved my trip after I had an allergic reaction to "Banana Boat" (seems they changed their formula). Food is expensive in Kauai cheapest place is Costco."

  • Would stay again for sure!!

"We went for our Honeymoon for 6 nights and did not want to leave. Kauai is beautiful of course and the property itself was everything the pictures show. The view is incredible. We BBQd most nights we were there and ate dinner on the balcony to watch the sunset every night - perfect location to see nightly sunsets. Walking distance to restaurants and a Starbucks as well. I highly recommend this place to anyone!"
