  • ***** GREAT UNIT HIGHLY RECOMMEND

"Just returned and have to say it was one of my best experiences from Trish with the local California management office that handles this unit, the owner, the onsite staff, to the unit that was updated and in fantastic shape it doesn't get any better for me! This unit like the previous review says has the peacefulness, the view, and practically smack down on the beach. This unit also is one of three units in a one story building and the people on each side of us were fantastic. I have been to Kiahuna several times in the past, but this time as I am a bit older just went with my girlfriend and it was fantastic. The beach is literally 15-20 feet out the sliding door, so in the morning we grab our stuff which the unit has a number of beach supplies and just toss them onto our spot on the beach and stay on the beach from 9-3 almost everyday, since that's what we enjoy doing. There is a small hedge in between the unit and the beach so you have to walk down to a pathway thru the shrub then back track to where we set up camp. I cant say enough about this place obviously as you can see. On a personal note I would like to think the owner "which I know is not standard" allowed us to have a late checkout since no one was coming in the day after us and we had an 11:30pm flight. That generosity was a huge bonus to us so Thanks Again for that! Trish at our local California management office was upfront, honest and responsive since we did this pretty much last minute so Thanks a Bunch to her too. The only thing I would suggest is get one more beach chair to match the existing one, since theres only one. We rented an additional one across the street for the week."

  • comfortable condo

"This condo does not have a view of a lawn area or garden but is very comfortable if you can do without that. It has many beautiful trees instead. It is set back from the ocean but it is a very easy walk to the beach and you don't have to lug anything because your towels and chairs are already there. Poipu Shopping Center and Health Club are across the street. Children have a wonderful time in the pool with its slide and sand entrance. I would highly recommend staying at Kiahuna Plantation condos."

  • Fabulous Stay

"Our family stayed here for 5 nights and loved it. Would definitely book this property again. The accommodations were comfortable and tastefully decorated. We enjoyed the decor in the sitting areas and the spaces were ample for our family of 4. I echo the sentiments of another reviewer regarding the outdated kitchen and bathrooms. That being said, it wouldn't prevent us from booking this property again. The location can't be beat in that there are markets nearby as well as a Starbucks. Convenient to Waimea Valley and Port Allen for water excursions. Also very close to the airport--compared to Princeville--which is a bonus."

  • Perfect Spot for my Wife's 80th Birthday

"You cannot beat the location of this ground floor end unit. You do not have to “go” to the beach, you're there. Breakfast on the lanai offers outstanding views and the famous Poipu sunsets from the grass in front of our lanai provided for memorable experiences as well. This was our fourth stay at Kiahuna. On our most recent stay there we loved the beachfront location and had learned about it on your website so we stopped by and asked the current renters about their level of satisfaction with the unit and the owners. High marks on both scores. In April of 2015 my wife decided that she’d like to return to Kiahuna to celebrate her 80th. I got in touch with the co-owner by email and we made the appropriate arrangements. He proved to be exceptionally responsive and affable so we have been able to do everything by email. This unit is managed by Castle Resorts. They do a good job and try to be as responsive as possible to their guests. In this particular case they did an outstanding job of assuring a Disabled Parking spot very close to the condo by actually creating one for me. The advantage of an end unit is that one has excellent cross ventilation as well as more light (we have stayed in a middle unit before and, believe me, ends are better). The furniture was in excellent condition and the kitchen furnished fully as one would expect. When we go back I’ll get better instructions on how to use the cable TV more effectively but we did all right. The wi-fi signal was very strong at all times. Our ten-night stay included one day’s housekeeping services in the rate and we were given our choice of when that was to be. We chose the Wednesday (we had arrived Friday) and were allowed to select the time for that service. It was done completely with all linens swapped out and all expendable items replaced. Everything worked as expected and things were, as the Brits say, “in good nick.” We got home late Monday night and I wrote this on Wednesday because I wanted to do it while everything was fresh in my mind. But, prior to doing so, I contacted the owner and booked the condo for the same time next year. Another happy birthday at Kiahuna, something to look forward to with great anticipation!"
