  • We loved our stay on the Kiahuna Plantation!

"We loved our stay on the Kiahuna Plantation! The plantation is in an area close to plenty of restaurants and activities. The condo was clean, had all the amenities you would want on vacation. I loved the porch as it had a place to eat as well as lounge chairs. There were plenty of pots/pans and utensils so we didn’t have to eat out for every meal. The owners gave us some tips on the area which was much appreciated. The beach was super close and it was one of the best beaches I saw on the island. It had enough waves to boogie board and enough beach to layout, there was even a Hawaiian Monk Seal sleeping on the beach one day! The only cons were, the pool was far away and there is no air conditioning. The pool is part of a fitness club across the street, wonderful pool and bar, but it’s not really part of the complex. The unit also did not have air conditioning, which is not unusual in the location, but it would have been nice. I would definitely recommend this place!"

  • Hawaiian paradise

"This was our third visit to Kiahuna Plantation 196. The location of this condo couldn't be better with oceanfront 180 degree views and close proximity to vacation activities! It has all of the vacation necessities, including boogie boards and snorkeling equipment. Like previous reviewers, we love the ocean breezes and the sound of crashing waves we experience here. The revamped pool/gym/food venue is an added plus. There's also fabulous dining on-site at the Plantation Gardens. We're looking forward to our next visit to Kiahuna 196! We recommend this unit!"

  • Great Place, Great Location

"We recently spent a week at this condo. We picked Poipu because we had hoped to see some sun and it did not disappoint. Even though the daily forecast was for showers it rained very little and was sunny most of the time. The condo is centrally located to many things. Walking distance to restaurants and shopping and a short drive to additional restaurants and stores. It is easy to get to other places on the island from this location. The property is clean and beautiful. Check in was easy and efficient. The lawn and beach are awesome. It is an easy walk from the condo down to this area. Free towels at the beach hut as well as other advice and recommendations for things to do. We used the lounges provided on the lawn area every day. Loved to watch all of the surfing classes that were taking place right there. Decent snorkeling right in front and down the beach at the Poipu State Beach. I saw a Manta Ray one afternoon there. The Monk seals sleeping on the beach were a treat. The condo itself were great. The view off the Lanai was excellent. What a great way to start the day eating breakfast. Bed and pillows were comfortable and the unit was very clean. Jack and Susan were so easy to work with and helpful with recommendations. We loved our visit to this island. I definitely recommend this condo and area. Other places we visited were the Kekaha Trail in the North (beautiful but some fitness is recommended), Waimea Canyon (we hiked into the canyon, Kalalau Trail fitness is again recommended), Wailua River, multiple waterfalls, and Spouting Horn about 3 miles away. We will recommend this area and condo to friends and family."
