  • Beautiful condo on a beautiful island

"We feel lucky that we found and booked this beautiful condo! You could tell that the owners took great pride in their property and outfitted it to their comfort- which in turn was very comfortable for us! Everything was upgraded at some point and very clean. The bed was amazing and our 2yr old slept soundly on the pullout couch! We appreciated having the beach umbrella to use and the informative document that was sent from the owner- we have great things to add for families with toddlers! I would highly recommend booking this property- if your lucky! I really liked the location and we really took advantage of the shopping center across the street. Thank you for a beautiful stay!"

  • Nice condo and property

"Condo was in nice shape, new furniture and very comfy king bed, great cross breeze from trade winds. Descent view of grounds and peak a boo view of ocean. Excellent bbq not far from suite. Small issues, needs a new fridge (leaked), descent kitchen supplies except bring your own condiments. Nice proximity to shops across the street. Excellent gym and pool down the road, a bit of a hike. Disappointed with the lack of beach in front of complex, used the beach in front of neighbouring Sharaton, quite busy."

  • What a wonderful escape at #227 our new Kauai Home away from Kate and Kevin

"Miss Tess and I have been together since we were in our early 20's and this was the first time in 15 years after nearly 30 years together that we were able to take a vacation outside of California. This was very special for us and the Egan Family have done a wonderful job of creating a warm and comfortable place for you to enjoy their Kauai home at Kiahuna Plantation. The Castle Management Staff are very accommodating and welcoming at check in. Please be sure to use them for any Restaurant Reservations or needs while you are there. If you are dining in town we recommend the following: 1.) Go to the Kauai Community College if you are there on a Saturday. They have a wonderful Farmer's Market supplied by locals. We enjoyed meeting with the locals and bought amazing produce. The Kitchen in 227 is really good and you can easily make and eat local meals from the items you have purchased. 2.) The Restaurant on the Property is great too. Ask for Jeff the GM and let him know that you are a guest of the Egans'. Tess really liked the Pot Roast. Me...just order something from Groth Vineyards & Winery which is the Oakville Winery I work for. Food is very good and you won't be disappointed. 3.) Beach access is great and the Egans have all of the equipment you need for a great day on the beach in the closet. Make a sandwich, enjoy the beach. 4.) Some things to do: Go to see the Spouting Horn Blow Hole and after have a nice lunch at the Beach House. Go to Merriman's a few miles away and have dinner. Walk in Old Town and visit Historic Kauai. Go to Kapaia Stichery to see really cool Hawaiian Quilts and ask for Auntie Faith. The Fabrics are amazing . Really a great place and a tremendous value. Wish we were still there. -m-"
