  • Great Family Vacation

"The condo and complex were just what our family needed for a week long rental in Poipu Beach. The actual unit is tucked away, which was nice, and even though a bit closer to a bigger road, this is Kauai-so its not like its busy! :) Place was totally affordable, nice with a 3 year old and being able to walk outside on the ground floor was much better than having a balcony. The roosters are loud, but again, its Kauai--what do you expect! My daughter really ran around on the grass and we were able to just chill when coming back from the beach and the pool. The staff at the Outrigger plantation were super friendly as well. Highly recommend!"

  • Amazing

"Amazing! Beautiful location with incredible view. Condo was clean and had most of the basic needs. The only thing I would change is the view from the lanai was restricted when sitting down by overgrown bushes below. Laundry in the room was great also. This was a peaceful place to regroup!"

  • Fabulous Stay

"Our family stayed here for 5 nights and loved it. Would definitely book this property again. The accommodations were comfortable and tastefully decorated. We enjoyed the decor in the sitting areas and the spaces were ample for our family of 4. I echo the sentiments of another reviewer regarding the outdated kitchen and bathrooms. That being said, it wouldn't prevent us from booking this property again. The location can't be beat in that there are markets nearby as well as a Starbucks. Convenient to Waimea Valley and Port Allen for water excursions. Also very close to the airport--compared to Princeville--which is a bonus."

  • No place like Kauai and the Kiahuna

"Returned to Kauai and the Kiahuna for our anniversary again this year and once again reminded why we keep returning. The Kiahuna Plantation offers everything one could want for an island vacation, beautiful surroundings, gardens, beautiful beaches within walking distance, shopping close by and all the hiking you could imagine. There is also golf, tennis, and workout gym, and pool for younger ones as well. With all of this Kauai still maintains that small island flavor. This year we headed to the north side and took the Wai Koa Loop trail in Kilauea. This is a 6 mile loop trail that wonders through mahogany forests, streams, working farms dotted with Urts ( small farm houses), and a spectacular water fall to finish. Well worth the drive. We finished our day with a stop in the small funky town of Kappa and had lunch at the " best margarita " restaurant in town. Right on the main road, fantastic, ice cold beer and great food. Many days were spent at our favorite beach at the Kiahuna Plantation where swimming and snorkeling are fantastic as well. This year we stayed at unit 223 owned by Volker and Gina Bauerle the unit had everything you could want, beautiful garden view, once again close to our favorite beach and just about everything else one could want. Also was beautifully remodeled and must say the bed in master bedroom was the best bed I've slept on. Much thanks to Volker and Gina for their gracious hospitality. We are already planning our return visit. Ed and Sue Killoran"
