  • Paradise

""Wow! We're in paradise", is what my daughter exclaimed when we drove on to the property; our first time in Kauai. This great condo has a feeling of Kauai inside and out---only 90 steps to the beach. Unit was clean, comfortable and conveniently located. We enjoyed meals on the lanai and dinning room table with great panoramic views of the towering palms, and sounds of the ocean waves breaking on the breach. Enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend this unit highly---we would definitely return."

  • Great getaway

"I stayed at unit 239 with my daughter and toddler granddaughter for a week, and It was pretty near perfect. The unit has a great location, view, and upgraded decor. We especially appreciated the beach chairs and umbrella and the well-appointed kitchen. We liked that we could walk for supplies or restaurants. The pool provided a wonderfully safe experience for my granddaughter....within days she was a total water baby. We loved it too. Bill was very accomodating and helpful when we had to change our plans at the last minute."

  • Nice updated unit with ocean view

"Nicely updated, comfortable unit, well-located in the resort, near the beach, pool and restaurant. The unit is well-equipped with beach gear. The kitchen has a lot of equipment - but no olive oil, salt or pepper. The owner was delightful and provided a lovely welcome basket. There are a lot of staff milling about the resort- which is beautifully manicured. The unit is a distance from the parking lot. It is best to ask for assistance with baggage upon checking in. The efficient Castle office didn't ask when we checked in; We asked for help - and received it- upon checking out. There are many units around, people are polite and respectful, but do expect to hear some noise."

  • Kiahuna Plantation on Kauai is a little paradise

"We, a family of two adults (56/51) and two children (16/13) from Germany, stayed for 10 days in the condo of Volker and Gina Bauerle. Already from the booking procedure on and until we left we were supported in a very friendly manner by Volker and Gina. They gave us hints and tipps whenever we needed help (this communication was maybe a little bit empowered by the fact that Volker and Gina derive from Germany - many years ago). Everything in the condo was very clean, working properly and as expected. For four persons there is plenty of space: In the upper floor a big living room with attached kitchen and on the other side towards the plantation a big lanai on which we had our meals. In the ground floor you have another two rooms, individual bathrooms for each room and a terrace. The plantation is very beautiful, green and very nicely cultivated. Mango trees are located in front of the condo. Sometimes mangos drop of the tree and we added them to our menue ;-) Several barbecue grills are located in the plantation and kept ready for operation by the service team. The beach is beautiful and we recommend to make use of the facilities of the Athletic Club. We played a lot of tennis and made use of the fitness studio. You get bath towels at the beach and in the Club. Across the street there is a Shopping Center and an nice Restaurant (Keoki´s Paradise). We were a little bit surprised by the food prices in Hawai´i. You cannot expect supermarket prices like you are used to. But you get very delicious fruits (papayas, avocados, pinapples, mangos...) for fair prices (much better then in the supermarket) on the farmer market in Koloa every Monday from 10.00-12.00 am. We stayed 10 days on Big Island, 10 days on Kauai and another 7 days on O´ahu. Kauai was certainly the most beautiful Island. Of course it depends on what you are looking for. If you are interested in nature, tropical forest, hiking through the rain forest, Kanu trips ... we very strongly recommend to include Kauai into your Hawai´i trip. And you can rely on the help of the owners of this condo, Volker and Gina. They do everything they can for you."
