  • Excellent place to stay on the South Shore

"We loved our stay at PK #303. The condo is clean and well laid out. No air conditioning, but there's a great cross-breeze plus a ceiling fan over the bed, so we did not need it at all. It is actually much nicer without it -- louver windows and doors on the west side adjust for breeze and privacy, and big sliding doors to the balcony open to the sound & sight of the ocean. Although advertised as having a lanai, the condo's balcony barely fits a plastic chair - it serves more as a storage space for boogie boards and snorkel gear. Opening the balcony doors wide you get a bit of the outdoor feel in the lounge. The kitchen is well stocked (although no dishwasher), we cooked most of our meals during our stay and it worked out great. There is a very nice shared grill downstairs, we used it several times with no need to wait. The laundry room is in the same building, although it is a bit competitive with only four washing machines. Walking distance to a few beaches (good snorkeling right across the street in the winter -- we were here at the end of summer, and it was excellent to have two surf breaks a five minute walk away). Both PKs and Centers can be a bit shallow (especially at low tide) but they're fun waves. The entire week we were there it was never crowded, a good mix of tourists and local surfers, a mellow vibe. Not quite walking distance to groceries etc -- but a short drive to everything you'd need. There's a fancy restaurant across the street (Beachhouse) which we did not try. Going towards Poipu is a small plaza with pretty good sushi, and a burrito joint called Da Crack (highly recommended, and one place that's open relatively late). The owners were accommodating and easy to deal with (not that we had to deal with anything other than paying the bill). We would stay here again, definitely recommend it to friends and family."

  • We must return to Condo #723

"We had an amazing stay at this condo. The essentials were already there at check-in so we didn't have to go to the store. It was clean and beautiful. We loved having two balconies. We used both of them depending on the time of day. Customer service gets a 5 star also."

  • Celebrated 30th Anniversary

"We loved our week long stay at Hololani. Everything was as described in the listing--no surprises. Communications with the rental office were prompt. The location is pretty good. It is about 1/2 mile to Poipu beach. I went on foot almost every day to snorkel and we drove when we had beach gear to haul. About 1/2 mile in the other direction was Shipwreck beach (by the Hyatt) but due to high surf no safe swimming. However, right there is the start of the Maha'ulepu Heritage Trail which had gorgeous views. The farther you get down the trail, the farther you want to go. We were also able to explore the island with day trips to the north shore and west to Waimea canyon. Other general recommendations: Blue Dolphin Sunset Cruise, Hukilau Lanai (nice dinner), and the farmer's market in Koloa (fresh fruit for breakfast)."

  • Floridians in Kauai.

"Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property is beautiful. I loved my unit and the staff. The grounds around the pool are lovely but not stroller or wheel chair friendly. The path along the shore and to the restarant and rental place is very smooth and will need a car for shopping etc. But make sure you have a GPS . take a cab from the airport. If you arrive at night.the street. Signs are not easy to see and it is very. Dark."
