  • Great stay

"My wife and I had an amazing stay at this condo. The location is just perfect. Not only is the ocean on the other side of the road enabling romantic walks in the evening, but the island's Poipu beach is a 5-10min drive away from this place. The location is also great to visit the Weimea canyon and rather close by to the airport. Driving just out of the road (Lawai Rd) to the roundabout (3min drive) you can get to a large complex offering dining and shopping facilities including a big super market. As for the condo itself, it comes with everything you need during your stay. Beyond the normal appliances and usual things you need, what we found great was the two beach chairs in the closet. We used them several times when going to the beach. This was really convenient given as tourist you really need these but would not buy them. We had not found beach chairs in some other condos we had rented in the past. The condo is overall very nicely decorated and has an Hawaiian ambience enhancing your stay. Hawaii is not the place you go and still wan to catch up with work... but depending on your job, it unfortunately may happen. We were glad to find out that the internet connection is very fast and reliable and there is even a landline phone. Now, I know you may not necessarily need that nowadays. However, as international travellers receiving calls on our mobile phones would have been very expensive and it happened that I had to receive an important biz call. So being able to provide a local US number was a very positive thing. Parking is just in front of the condo on the ground floor, again super convenient rather than making long walk. There is also a BBQ pit (although we did not use it as we ate mostly dinners outside ...but we saw other neighbours enjoying the occasional BBQ). We look forward to visiting again one day! :-)"

  • Perfect Condo Rental!

"Our friends recommended we stay at Kiahuna Plantation, and I chose James & Sandy's condo after a lot of research to find the perfect place! We could not have been any happier with our choice. The condo property has more of a resort feel with beautifully manicured grounds. This unit is set farther back from the street, so you don't get any road noise -- just the sound of breeze and birds! But, it's close enough to make it a quick walk across the street to the shopping center, or the Poipu Beach Athletic Club (where the pool, gym and a bar/restaurant are). This unit is also a very short walk down to the beach -- we visited several beaches across the island and it was by far our favorite beach in Kauai. Also onsite is the Plantation Gardens restaurant, which was our last and favorite dinner. Finally, another shopping center is just a short drive away as is Koloa -- so lots of restaurants in the proximity! The condo itself is small but beautifully renovated and very clean. Being on the second floor, we enjoyed the privacy and breezes from the screen door on the patio. We had an amazing time and I'd recommend this condo to any couple! My only suggestion would be to have a beach umbrella and towels in the condo. You can borrow towels down at the beach hut, but no umbrellas are offered there. We ended up renting one for the week, which was fine, and buying cheap beach towels for our trip to the north side of the island. But that's my only suggestion! Otherwise, perfection. Thanks for a wonderful stay! We hope to return."

  • Nice place

"We stayed at unit 63 for 5 days. We had a wonderful stay, Kiahuna Plantation is very well cared for and beautiful. The location made it convenient for our day trips, the south side of Kauai is gorgeous. All of Kauai is gorgeous. I found cooking there to be somewhat of a challenge, simple things like knives need sharpening, the top of the lid of a saucepan fell off, all small things really. I do enjoy cooking some meals in as food is very expensive on the island. There were no spices to speak of, but again, just small stuff. All in all, we had a great time and enjoyed our visit. The staff at Kiahuna plantation is very accommodating. I would go back, no doubt. It would be nice to turn the roosters off at 6:00 am!"
