  • Second Stay - Loved It!

"We stayed here for a week in December 2013 and loved it so much we rented it for almost two weeks in December 2015. The place is lovely, convenient to everything and very relaxing. We saw Whales, Dolphin and Turtles almost every day. We did have a small problem with the entry door while we were there. I only mention that because I want you to know that Susan was totally responsive and all over it! We appreciate involved owners. No need to write a longer review. If you are looking at the photos and description and it is open on your dates book it now."

  • The perfect spot!

"I just returned from Kauai after a gorgeous 8 day stay. Our group of 5, including one child and four adults, absolutely loved staying in this condo. The location is perfect with amazing ocean views and beautiful sunsets. The weather in Poipu is the best on the island. If you are going to Kauai, stay in Poipu, and stay in this condo. The pool is 2 steps away from the lanai--we enjoyed the pool everyday. There are only 6 units in Alihi Lani so the pool is never over populated and most often we had the pool to ourselves. We enjoyed the pool toys and used the chairs and boogie boards when we visited beaches. We loved having a bbq grill steps away as well as we frequented the Koloa and Poipu farmers markets, cooked in often, and enjoyed many meals at the lanai table while watching the sunset. Make sure you try a sugarloaf pineapple---the best pineapple i've ever had! The groundkeepers gave us a bunch of apple bananas from a tree on the property--delicious as well. We also found a lime tree and used the limes to make some tasty margaritas. The location is primo as it is close to shops, restaurants, and beaches (all within walking distance) while at the same time it felt like we had our own private setting. Many times we walked up to Lappert's for some ice cream and coffee. We went out on many excursions, too, and went through Outfitters Kauai several times---which is very conveniently located 1/2 mile away from the condo. If you like burritos, do not miss "Da Crack" which is a walk-up food vendor right next to the Outfitters Kauai office in Poipu. On our last day, we ate at Plantation Gardens restaurant. The setting is beautiful and the food was terrific. I was very happy to find extremely comfortable beds here. Plus having AC in the bedrooms ensured that we all slept well. Having a washer and dryer was also great."

  • A beautiful and peaceful place to stay

"This penthouse is absolutely perfect. We loved the privacy and the beautiful views. We have not been to Kauai before but spent time looking around for other areas to stay and quite frankly this is the best area on the island I think. It's sunny and peaceful yet there are so many things close by and easy to get to. We arrived to a perfectly immaculate home with a comfortable bed...entire views of sunrise and sunset each day - it was wonderful. The kitchen had everything you could want and there was a full sized washer and dryer as well. The outdoor furniture is really comfortable and we cooked and ate at the house each day. There is a wonderful shopping area with restaurants nearby and the Beach House restaurant is right across the street. There was really very little traffic and it is right next to two really great beaches. We would definitely stay here again."

  • Beautiful House in a Great Location!

"Sansei Hale is a beautiful house in a fantastic location. Nice layout and great AC in the rooms (once I figured out how to use it properly :) The turtles were amazing to see. We love this location for getting to the beach, shops, and restaurants. This was our 3rd visit to that area but first time on Turtle Cove. There are 2 things that would make this house rental even better. The first is the cooking utensils - we rent condos and homes because we love to cook - shopping at the Koloa Fish Market gets you the most amazing, fresh fish. The pans were pretty worn out with all the nonstick surfaces scratched up pretty badly. The knives were very dull which made cutting our pineapples difficult. There was a lack of larger glass containers/bowls to work with but other than that, the kitchen was well stocked - even has a coffee grinder. The second thing was the beach items. Every house we have rented in Hawaii has had umbrellas and chairs with various other items. While this house has lots of snorkels, fins, sand toys and beach towels, it was lacking in the most important items. There were no umbrellas and the chairs really need to be tossed out. 2 were broken and the other 4 were rusted. I suppose we could've rented them (though I didn't realize that until the last day) but we have never had to do that in the 6 trips to Hawaii we have taken. There was also no insulated bags or ice chests available except for a cracked styrofoam chest that was probably left by a previous renter. Anyhow, we dealt with these issues and had a fabulous time."
