  • Excellent place to stay on the South Shore

"We loved our stay at PK #303. The condo is clean and well laid out. No air conditioning, but there's a great cross-breeze plus a ceiling fan over the bed, so we did not need it at all. It is actually much nicer without it -- louver windows and doors on the west side adjust for breeze and privacy, and big sliding doors to the balcony open to the sound & sight of the ocean. Although advertised as having a lanai, the condo's balcony barely fits a plastic chair - it serves more as a storage space for boogie boards and snorkel gear. Opening the balcony doors wide you get a bit of the outdoor feel in the lounge. The kitchen is well stocked (although no dishwasher), we cooked most of our meals during our stay and it worked out great. There is a very nice shared grill downstairs, we used it several times with no need to wait. The laundry room is in the same building, although it is a bit competitive with only four washing machines. Walking distance to a few beaches (good snorkeling right across the street in the winter -- we were here at the end of summer, and it was excellent to have two surf breaks a five minute walk away). Both PKs and Centers can be a bit shallow (especially at low tide) but they're fun waves. The entire week we were there it was never crowded, a good mix of tourists and local surfers, a mellow vibe. Not quite walking distance to groceries etc -- but a short drive to everything you'd need. There's a fancy restaurant across the street (Beachhouse) which we did not try. Going towards Poipu is a small plaza with pretty good sushi, and a burrito joint called Da Crack (highly recommended, and one place that's open relatively late). The owners were accommodating and easy to deal with (not that we had to deal with anything other than paying the bill). We would stay here again, definitely recommend it to friends and family."

  • Great place to stay

"It was our first time in Kauai. As a surfer PK's, Centres & Acid drops surf breaks are right across the road. The unit was clean. My wife and daughter were thoroughly satisfied with it. Matt and Luiz who worked at the resort were more than helpful with anything that we needed. The unit wasn't that big but hey, in Kauai what do you want to be hanging around the unit for? There's so much to see and do. The Beachfront Restaurant was great for sundowner drinks. yes the unit was clean. everything worked and it was a great price. For us: perfect holiday accommodation. The unit is on the 3rd level so we had a great view. There are no elevators to the unit but we are able bodied. This will be my 1st point of enquiry if we ever come back to Kauai."

  • Cute condo, great for two people!

"We picked this condo based on its location across the street from a great snorkeling spot and for the air conditioning. Unfortunately the week we were there the ocean was very rough. Luckily we were able to drive 5 minutes to Poipu Beach Park (go to the right side of the spit) and snorkel there. It was also very hot and humid, so we were glad to have the air conditioning! The condo looks exactly as pictured and was very clean. The owners provided very detailed information for check in/check out, etc. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. There were plenty of towels and paper goods. The cooler came in handy when we drove to the North Shore to hike the Na Pali Coast. The ocean was unusually rough up there too, so no snorkeling at Tunnels Beach! The weather channel predicted rain every day we were there, but it never rained in sunny Poipu! The resort is small but well kept. The pool was never crowded. A few days we had the pool to ourselves. It is a short drive to two different shopping areas and the grocery stores are not too much further. It's also an easy walk across the street to watch the sunset from the lawn in front of the Beach House."

  • A beautiful and peaceful place to stay

"This penthouse is absolutely perfect. We loved the privacy and the beautiful views. We have not been to Kauai before but spent time looking around for other areas to stay and quite frankly this is the best area on the island I think. It's sunny and peaceful yet there are so many things close by and easy to get to. We arrived to a perfectly immaculate home with a comfortable bed...entire views of sunrise and sunset each day - it was wonderful. The kitchen had everything you could want and there was a full sized washer and dryer as well. The outdoor furniture is really comfortable and we cooked and ate at the house each day. There is a wonderful shopping area with restaurants nearby and the Beach House restaurant is right across the street. There was really very little traffic and it is right next to two really great beaches. We would definitely stay here again."
