  • Perfect Condo Rental!

"Our friends recommended we stay at Kiahuna Plantation, and I chose James & Sandy's condo after a lot of research to find the perfect place! We could not have been any happier with our choice. The condo property has more of a resort feel with beautifully manicured grounds. This unit is set farther back from the street, so you don't get any road noise -- just the sound of breeze and birds! But, it's close enough to make it a quick walk across the street to the shopping center, or the Poipu Beach Athletic Club (where the pool, gym and a bar/restaurant are). This unit is also a very short walk down to the beach -- we visited several beaches across the island and it was by far our favorite beach in Kauai. Also onsite is the Plantation Gardens restaurant, which was our last and favorite dinner. Finally, another shopping center is just a short drive away as is Koloa -- so lots of restaurants in the proximity! The condo itself is small but beautifully renovated and very clean. Being on the second floor, we enjoyed the privacy and breezes from the screen door on the patio. We had an amazing time and I'd recommend this condo to any couple! My only suggestion would be to have a beach umbrella and towels in the condo. You can borrow towels down at the beach hut, but no umbrellas are offered there. We ended up renting one for the week, which was fine, and buying cheap beach towels for our trip to the north side of the island. But that's my only suggestion! Otherwise, perfection. Thanks for a wonderful stay! We hope to return."

  • We loved our stay on the Kiahuna Plantation!

"We loved our stay on the Kiahuna Plantation! The plantation is in an area close to plenty of restaurants and activities. The condo was clean, had all the amenities you would want on vacation. I loved the porch as it had a place to eat as well as lounge chairs. There were plenty of pots/pans and utensils so we didn’t have to eat out for every meal. The owners gave us some tips on the area which was much appreciated. The beach was super close and it was one of the best beaches I saw on the island. It had enough waves to boogie board and enough beach to layout, there was even a Hawaiian Monk Seal sleeping on the beach one day! The only cons were, the pool was far away and there is no air conditioning. The pool is part of a fitness club across the street, wonderful pool and bar, but it’s not really part of the complex. The unit also did not have air conditioning, which is not unusual in the location, but it would have been nice. I would definitely recommend this place!"

  • Perfect Spot for my Wife's 80th Birthday

"You cannot beat the location of this ground floor end unit. You do not have to “go” to the beach, you're there. Breakfast on the lanai offers outstanding views and the famous Poipu sunsets from the grass in front of our lanai provided for memorable experiences as well. This was our fourth stay at Kiahuna. On our most recent stay there we loved the beachfront location and had learned about it on your website so we stopped by and asked the current renters about their level of satisfaction with the unit and the owners. High marks on both scores. In April of 2015 my wife decided that she’d like to return to Kiahuna to celebrate her 80th. I got in touch with the co-owner by email and we made the appropriate arrangements. He proved to be exceptionally responsive and affable so we have been able to do everything by email. This unit is managed by Castle Resorts. They do a good job and try to be as responsive as possible to their guests. In this particular case they did an outstanding job of assuring a Disabled Parking spot very close to the condo by actually creating one for me. The advantage of an end unit is that one has excellent cross ventilation as well as more light (we have stayed in a middle unit before and, believe me, ends are better). The furniture was in excellent condition and the kitchen furnished fully as one would expect. When we go back I’ll get better instructions on how to use the cable TV more effectively but we did all right. The wi-fi signal was very strong at all times. Our ten-night stay included one day’s housekeeping services in the rate and we were given our choice of when that was to be. We chose the Wednesday (we had arrived Friday) and were allowed to select the time for that service. It was done completely with all linens swapped out and all expendable items replaced. Everything worked as expected and things were, as the Brits say, “in good nick.” We got home late Monday night and I wrote this on Wednesday because I wanted to do it while everything was fresh in my mind. But, prior to doing so, I contacted the owner and booked the condo for the same time next year. Another happy birthday at Kiahuna, something to look forward to with great anticipation!"

  • Breathtaking views

"Our family stayed here and it was amazing. We had views to die for, the sound of the ocean to lull us to sleep, a gorgeous pool to swim in, a swimmable beach (Poipu) within walking distance, and a full kitchen to use. We stayed here for five nights and it was truly magical and will forever bring back amazing memories. Additionally, the owner was very helpful with island information. The check in and check out was easy. I hope to return here again sometime. Mahalo!"
