  • Great location, awesome views and complete privacy.

"What a beautiful location. The crashing waves and surfing turtles are right below your balcony. The condo is fully equipped with everything you need from a complete kitchen (with lots of food actually - I would check and see what is in the cupboards before going shopping next time!) to snorkel gear, beach umbrellas, chairs and many boogie boards. Everything was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The fans and ocean breeze made it comfortable even when it was hot outside in the sun. We used the pool one evening too - it was clean and the temp was perfect to cool off before dinner. Our girls loved that it had a true "deep end". The location is in perfect proximity to Poipu Beach and Brennecke's - we walked over there a couple of times instead of driving the 1/2 mile. It is also just minutes from Shipwrecks Beach and Koloa where we went every day to the fish market for fresh Poke. We really enjoyed how low key all of these beaches were. One day we drove to Hanalei and while it was beautiful it was insane with people and traffic rushing to the North Shore for the big waves. It made us glad we decided to stay in Poipu and could just visit the other areas. Everything was close enough that even a day trip to Hanalei and Waimea Canyon allowed us to still hit the beach when we got back in the afternoon."

  • Wonderful condo, excellent location

"First off Kay is super great to work with and very accommodating. The condo itself felt like home and had pretty much everything you could ask for. We stayed in another condo on VRBO in Florida and that had the system where you leave stuff you don't use for other guests. While we didn't have that (maybe people were not there prior to us), we left a bunch of beach towels, some floaties for toddlers and a beach ball for the little one to name a few. The location is EXCELLENT. We stayed at the Hyatt and our room was so far from the pool that the trip from this condo over to the Hyatt pool took less time. We watched beautiful sunrises and sunsets from just steps from this location. The neighbors and other guests are super quiet and I never heard a peep from anyone past 8 pm. The only thing I would comment on is that the carpet is a bit worn and may benefit from tile at some point or a deep clean. Otherwise, no complaints. Would definitely stay again if we come back next year."

  • A breezy, cozy home in paradise

"My husband and I have recently returned from a wonderful stay in this wonderful unit. As promised the condo gets a lot of light, and the the tropical breezes will keep you cool and comfortable through the night. The grounds are beautiful, and the bungalows that make up the complex feel charming as compared to some of the larger new hotels in the area. The swimming conditions were excellent on the south shore, and though we love exploring and did our fare share of it, we would have been happy to stay on property the whole time and just soak it all in. The unit is clean, and comfortable. Being a bit away from the main thoroughfare makes it private while still more then easily accessible to the beach, gardens and restaurant on property. Many thanks to the owners for entrusting us with this gem, we can't wait to come back!"

  • Perfect Condo Rental!

"Our friends recommended we stay at Kiahuna Plantation, and I chose James & Sandy's condo after a lot of research to find the perfect place! We could not have been any happier with our choice. The condo property has more of a resort feel with beautifully manicured grounds. This unit is set farther back from the street, so you don't get any road noise -- just the sound of breeze and birds! But, it's close enough to make it a quick walk across the street to the shopping center, or the Poipu Beach Athletic Club (where the pool, gym and a bar/restaurant are). This unit is also a very short walk down to the beach -- we visited several beaches across the island and it was by far our favorite beach in Kauai. Also onsite is the Plantation Gardens restaurant, which was our last and favorite dinner. Finally, another shopping center is just a short drive away as is Koloa -- so lots of restaurants in the proximity! The condo itself is small but beautifully renovated and very clean. Being on the second floor, we enjoyed the privacy and breezes from the screen door on the patio. We had an amazing time and I'd recommend this condo to any couple! My only suggestion would be to have a beach umbrella and towels in the condo. You can borrow towels down at the beach hut, but no umbrellas are offered there. We ended up renting one for the week, which was fine, and buying cheap beach towels for our trip to the north side of the island. But that's my only suggestion! Otherwise, perfection. Thanks for a wonderful stay! We hope to return."
