  • Splendid accommodation

"This year was our second visit to Poipu Sands #211. This condo is a top notch accommodation. Very clean, well maintained and equipped, along with lovely accents of local art and decor. Great views of Shipwreck Beach from the lanai and just steps from a very nice pool. The location is centrally located to many of the islands recreational offerings as well as walk-able distance to several dining options. The entire Poipu Kai Resort area is surrounded by accessible walking trails and routes so an early morning walk or run is quite a pleasure. Depending on your route, four miles is not out of the question. The lanai gets only a couple hours of direct sunlight in the late morning so it's comfortable throughout the day and catches the trade winds as well. One thing that stood out and reminded me of home was almost every light in the unit had a dimmer switch. Bonus!! We'll definitely stay here again."

  • Great condo, wonderful location

"We've stayed in several Nihi Kai condos over the years. This was one of the best. Location: top floor ocean view yet close to pool and front of property. Much more convenient location than 800 building. Being a top floor, vaulted ceilings provided tons of space. Simple layout, great view from lanais. Interior is in good shape. The kitchen has plenty of cooking gear and basic spices. It would benefit from more flatware and plates as we had to run the dishwasher frequently. It was also great to have basic beach supplies. Wonderful rental."

  • Paradise! Perfect in (almost) every way!

"My husband and I loved our stay for 8 nights in this 1 bedroom condo, on the first floor, with private lanai. It was very clean, comfortable, and very close to the beach, although with no beach view. The view from the lanai is of tropical foliage and the adjacent building. Neighbors in our building and surrounding buildings were very quiet. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, appliances, and cookware, although some items like a steamer basket for vegetables, and covered microwaveable dishes would be a nice addition. There are nearby outdoor gas grills for barbecuing, which are cleaned daily by the staff. The lanai has 2 lounge chairs, and a table and 4 chairs for outdoor dining. The owners have nicely provided 2 boogie boards, beach toys, and beach chairs. The bedroom was small and almost entirely filled by the very comfortable king sized bed, leaving little room to walk around or set up suitcases, although there are bedside tables and a chest of drawers for those who choose to unpack. No AC, but ceiling fans, portable fans, and screened windows provided plenty of ventilation so we were never overly warm. The bathroom had tub/shower combo, ample granite countertops, fluffy towels, hairdryer, and fragrant soap/shampoo/ conditioner in pump containers. There are TVs in the bedroom and living room (which we never turned on--too much else to do!), radio, comfortable couch and chairs with good light for reading. The decorations are all Hawaii themed and attractive. Beach towels are available at the beach-side desk, which was also very helpful with information about the area, and for making a reservation for us for a boat trip to the NaPali coast. The complex is very well maintained, with beautiful tropical plants and huge shade trees and palms, winding walkways, and little lakes. The orchid and cactus garden on the property is a beautiful place to stroll. The lawns are huge, well manicured, and perfect for family games. Lawn chairs there are the perfect place to lie and watch the sunsets. The beach is clean, not overly crowded, and has generally low surf. Snorkeling was good along the rocky margins at either end. From Kiahuna Plantation you can stroll down the beach, and through adjacent properties on walkways, for several miles. The location on the sunnier, warmer south shore is perfect, with proximity to Waimea Canyon and Allerton Garden. Nearby Koloa is a fun town to explore, with history exhibits, shops, and restaurants. Perfect vacation!"

  • Wonderful home in Poipu

"This was our second time staying in Sonya's beautiful home in Poipu. We again had a wonderful time, the location is perfect, a short walk to multiple beaches and the Grand Hyatt, the bedroom setup was perfect for our group, and the house is well supplied with all of the amenities that we required during our visit. Having a washer and dryer available made packing lighter a great option for us. We are already looking at booking the house for next year."
