  • Great Poipu property - short walk to beach

"Our family of 4 stayed in Wendy's beautiful Poipu condo, managed by Castle Resorts. First off, my experience dealing directly with the owner (Wendy P.) was nothing short of exceptional. She was responsive with emails and gave us great ideas on what to do on the island (it was our second time in Kauai/Poipu). I absolutely loved dealing with Wendy; she was prompt, friendly and courteous. Castle Resorts employees were friendly and helpful as issues in the 6 days we were there. The condo was well appointed with what were likely recent upgrades. The kitchen and bathroom were immaculate. Loved the shower/shower head. Kitchen was supplied with all you needed. We were there for a week and did groceries so we could cook meals. Thanks for having all the supplies! The bedroom was comfy too with a large bed that comfortably fit my two young sons and myself. My husband used the sofa bed in the living area and if there's one thing we weren't too thrilled about, it was the sofa bed. Not as comfy as we had hoped it would be. Also, not sure the sofa cushions, the bed cushions/pillows and bed comforter had been washed or cleaned for some time. The hotel-type pillow cases, bed sheets and towels were clean though. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay. It was convenient using the pool, tennis courts, basketball court & fitness center at the Poipu Beach Club across the street. We were there at least 2x a day. The kids loved the pool/waterslide. The Kiahuna grounds were was awesome to walk the grounds at sunset, by the beach. The resort is so close to Poipu Beach & the Poipu Shopping village - walking distance. Wendy had boogie boards, umbrellas, etc for us to use at the beach too - thank you. The lanai was huge and has a table and chairs to lounge in. I was concerned that the condo didn't have A/C but Wendy was right, the tradewinds and the ceiling fans in the main living area and bedroom cooled the unit. Finally, loved that there were laundry facilities onsite; so convenient with 2 young boys! (By the way, the Beach Club folks were great. We were just disappointed that the onsite restaurant was under renos when we were there, so we couldn't take advantage of it. But I absolutely loved the open-air fitness centre with all of its state of the art equipment). Overall, we were thrilled to have come across this condo, and would stay there again in a heartbeat. Mahalo Wendy!"

  • We love Kauai!

"My husband and I spent a week in February at this condo at the Kiahuna Plantation Resort and it met our expectations and more. The condo was well-equipped with everything we needed and exactly as advertised, and the resort-like amenities available were a bonus (e.g., beach towels, lounge chairs, grills, direct beach access, etc.) too! The condo itself was comfortable for the two of us, and even though there is no air conditioning – the reviews are true – we didn’t need it as the trade winds kept us cool (and sometimes even too cold!) at night. We also enjoyed access to the outdoor fitness center and a conveniently located coffee and smoothie shop right across the street. The owners are responsive and lovely to work with. Poipu Beach is about half a mile from the condo, but we actually preferred the Kiahuna Plantation beach better, as well as the beach path through the Sheraton hotel that was great for a morning jog along the paved road and coast line where we were able to see whales, sea turtles and Hawaiian monk seals. There are several great restaurants in the area too. Our favorite was Red Salt at the Koa Kea resort that is walkable from the condo. We can’t wait to visit again."

  • Excellent Location

"Yes, we too very much enjoyed our stay at Tom's single story, waterfront home. Kitchen, baths, bedrooms all very nice quality and and will not disappoint, very clean. Secluded swimming cove steps away, sunset view from lanai is superb and easy evening stroll to restaurant. Breaching whales, lazy turtles, and colorful Moorish Idol fish, all viewed from the property. You can even see Spouting Horn from the lanai. Off street parking under covered breezeway is wonderful, no blistering hot car to return too. Very easy owner to deal with. Still recalling barbequing on the lanai as the sun was setting - great memories. Already considering our next return."

  • Another amazing vacation in this villa

"For the second year in a row, we rented this unit for a week for my mom to visit us while we stayed next door at the Marriott (larger units and we are a family of four). The unit at Kiahuna Plantation is lovely, very comfortable, and just perfect for her stay. Steven made the reservation process easy. We would gladly rent here again, and likely will!"
