  • Getaway in Paradise

"Sansei Hale is charming and roomy, sitting unnassumingly in a low key residential area. Upon arrival, my husband and I were immediately taken with the vlocanic rocks on the exterior of the house and around the yard. Seemed very characteristic of a lot of local Hawaiian homes, and we were thrilled to be staying in home carrying such an authentic feeling. The interior is expansive, easily acommodating 6 adults with plenty of room to spare. The kitchen worked out elegantly for communal cooking, with a large granite island and generous array of prep utensils and dishes lending themselves to easy, effortless cooking (and fun!). The deck has a big dining table, where dinners, lunches, and breakfasts were enjoyed as we listened to the soothing murmur of the nearby stream and wildlife. The location worked out beautifully - right in the middle of Poipu yet unencumbered by overtly touristly resorts. Easy access to nearby Baby Beach (walking distance) and a surprisingly atmospheric and convenient shopping center with amentities and an array of fabulous restaurants (also walking distance). I usually hiked nearby trails (Maha'ulepu Heritage Trail is a must) in the mornings while my husband surfed Left Lefts. Afternoons were occupied with scenic drives to Kauai's many sights."

  • Kauai

"Kuhio Shores was a perfect fit. Close to everything on the south shore, but still had a feeling of seclusion. The views and the sunsets were the best. You couldn't hear any road sounds because of the crashing of the waves. Would stay there again."

  • Peaceful Stay

"From start to finish, the owner was very communicative and easy to deal with. There were 7 of us that included, myself, husband, son, daughter in law, 5 month old grandson plus our two college age children. The home was just beautiful & super clean. The kitchen, linens, paper products and soaps were well stocked. Beds were comfortable and having 3 bathrooms was great! The layout was excellent, plenty of room for everyone. You could sleep in or go to bed early and others be upstairs and it was quiet. We rented a car but there were plenty of places to walk to from the home. You could easily walk to baby beach & Da Crack for yummy take out burritos & the Shops at Kukui'ula where there were restaurants, coffee, ice cream shop, grocery & drug store. The walk to Spouting Horn, Sheraton, Marriott & Poipo Beach wasn't too far either. The furniture & grounds of the home were really well maintained. There were plenty of beach towels and beach chairs in the garage. I was a little worried before we came about the lack of air conditioning but Buzz assured us it would be just fine and it was. We wouldn't have needed it at all! We went to the Costco & grocery across the street from Costco(can't remember the name) in Lihue when we arrived at the airport for snacks, drinks and diapers. We thought the prices weren't too bad at all. We rented a crib, baby backpack & beach tent for our grandson from Ready Rentals. They were great and had it all set up before we arrived. We would definitely rent this home again and totally recommend it!"

  • Nice condo

"This condo was very spacious. The location was perfect. We could hear the waves crashing into the wall. The sunset was amazing. Everything was in like new condition. Washer/dryer/coffee pot/dishes/glasses/etc. The only issue was the air conditioning. It's only in the master bedroom (window unit in the closet). We kept the bedroom door closed so sleeping and showers were pleasant. This was only a problem since we traveled in late July/early August. We managed just fine though. The pool was really nice. The beach was close. Restaurants were plenty. So much to do on this island. My husband and I enjoyed the time we were there. I would rent this condo again if we ever return to this island."
