  • A breezy, cozy home in paradise

"My husband and I have recently returned from a wonderful stay in this wonderful unit. As promised the condo gets a lot of light, and the the tropical breezes will keep you cool and comfortable through the night. The grounds are beautiful, and the bungalows that make up the complex feel charming as compared to some of the larger new hotels in the area. The swimming conditions were excellent on the south shore, and though we love exploring and did our fare share of it, we would have been happy to stay on property the whole time and just soak it all in. The unit is clean, and comfortable. Being a bit away from the main thoroughfare makes it private while still more then easily accessible to the beach, gardens and restaurant on property. Many thanks to the owners for entrusting us with this gem, we can't wait to come back!"

  • Great spot at Kiahuna Plantation

"This was our third trip to Kiahuna Plantation and first time staying at the Garlands' place. The condo is a 2BR/2Bath, very nicely furnished, spotless, situated close to the restaurant and office, with a peak of the Ocean out of the living room. On our previous visits, we booked directly with Outrigger, which was fine. However, having a point of contact, especially one as helpful as Judy, was a much more pleasant experience. I would recommend the Garlands' place on that basis alone. She helped coordinate our arrival, made recommendations for restaurants, checked in with me numerous times to make sure I had everything I needed, and then made arrangements for us to check in to the condo early, which was a huge help as we got there in the morning. Thank you, Judy. The garden location was very nice, and very quiet. There's a bbq right down below the unit, which we used a couple of times. I also appreciated the proximity to the restaurant/bar and a couple of times my wife and I hopped over there for a cocktail before dinner. The location also puts you close to the Poipu shopping village - we walked over there each morning for coffee. The unit itself was great. It has every amenity you would expect to find in a well stocked place. Beds were very comfortable and easily accommodated our family of 4, with room to spare. Everything was exactly as advertised. Lastly, I'll just give a shout out to Kiahuna Plantation in general. I've yet to find a place on Kauai that can match the killer beachfront location, ambiance (just walk the grounds at dusk and you'll se what I mean) and chill vibe of Kiahuna. I get the impression that they get a lot of repeat visitors and it's easy to see why. Thanks again to Garland family for having us."

  • Beautiful Home, Prime Location, Everything You Need to Explore Kauai

"We just came back from a week-long stay at beautiful Hale Poipu. My husband and I and his parents shared this wonderful home together and had a truly memorable vacation. It is lovely with two gorgeous bedrooms with private bathrooms - and a lovely common living room and kitchen, plus beautiful deck. There is an additional studio with bedroom on the ground level. We cooked in the kitchen and used the grill on the deck. All appliances are top of the line making staying in and enjoying the home so enjoyable. The home is located in a pretty area with paths along the coastline with Poipu Beach just a short walk away where sea turtles and hawaiin monk seals made daily appearances. Two beautiful shopping centers and lots of great restaurants are within a mile or two from the home. The beds were super comfortable and we slept with the sliding doors open and could hear the ocean, feel the beautiful breeze and were woken up by the birds. We enjoyed coffee in the morning on the deck, enjoying the sunrise. Patty has the house so well-organized and beautifully decorated and it is chock full of everything you need, including shampoo and bath gel, plus beautiful bathrobes. We enjoyed using the beach chairs, coolers and boogie boards on our day trip to the Northern Coast, as well as when visiting a few remote beaches. We can't say enough and highly recommend Patty's home."

  • Close to the beach

"We stayed in the Big Kahuna for a week and it was just right for our mini family reunion. We were especially appreciative of the fresh juice and chilled glasses Herb and Gale left in the frig for us - yummy. Gale was also very helpful in suggesting restaurants and and even got us on a dinner cruise at the last minute. Hide a Way Cove is very close to the beach and the beach had a lot of variety - a quiet cove for a 5 year old to swim, great snorkeling, waves for boogie boarding, rocks for observing little sea life, and very large waves for surfers. A high light was observing and even swimming with the sea turtles. We also enjoyed the Athletic Club but be aware that it is not within walking distance of the condos. On several days we all took off in different directions for different activities. We found the location to be very convenient to everything we wanted to do and then we could all meet back at the condos and cook and eat together."
