  • Good value

"Large and nicely landscaped resort. Pros: Unit very clean, helpful and friendly staff, wonderful gardens, lovely beach, unit close to high end restaurant, small shopping centre across street, very communicative and knowledgeable owner, ground floor unit an asset, large lanai, barbecue nearby, lots of birds, large mature trees Cons: Unit a bit dated, some traffic noise, can hear footsteps of guests from unit above, no swimming pool in complex, guests barbecueing can be noisy,"

  • Beautiful condo, great location

"We're 2 couples who spent a week here in February 2017. The building is in an upscale development of residential homes and fine resorts. The property is impeccable, as is the unit. We were wowed when we walked in: large, bright, airy, well appointed; the cleaner had even placed hibiscus blooms throughout and left a pineapple on the dining table. 2 bedrooms with ensuite up, and a half bath with laundry down was very nice. The beds were comfortable and the air was great for sleeping. Liked having a safe in the master. Being top floor we had a fabulous view over the pool to the ocean where we could see humpbacks spouting regularly. We had all our meals on the lanai and were treated to some lovely sunsets. The pool was great and never crowded or noisy. The BBQ area was great and we met lots of nice folks there while cooking supper. Always lots of room in the parking lot. Poipu Beach is only 3/4 mile / 700m away: short drive or easy walk; lots of parking across the street there. We got our best snorkeling of 3 islands at Poipu: great variety of fish in clear water inside the reef right off the shore in stand-up depth. A walk the other way from the condo is Maha'ulepu Trail along the shore; definitely worth doing as the cliffs are quite special. It was an easy drive for groceries up in Kaloa, though we did our big groceries at Costco (which has the best view of any Costco from their lunch area!). Just down the road across the roundabout is Kukui'ula Village Shopping Centre: quite a selection of shops and the day I went there was a market; scored some nice fresh fruit. On the Poipu Road just beyond the roundabout is another small grocery store that we didn't try out, but there is a fully equipped dive shop (Seaport Divers) where I was able to get leaky masks repaired. This condo in Poipu is situated on Kaua'i such that nothing is far: Waimea Canyon one way, Lihue, Wailua, and all the way up to Hanalei the other. In addition to it's location, we chose Poipu because it was reported as the driest part of Kaua'i; this seemed to be so when we were there. The owners, Andy and Christina Mosko, were great to deal with, and the information they sent ahead of time was super useful. I'd highly recommend staying here - I would were I to go back to Kaua'i!"

  • Exceeds All Expectations

"I consider myself an experienced VRBO renter. I have rented vacation homes in Santa Cruz and San Diego CA, Boulder CO, Cape Cod MA, and multiple locations in Florida. This vacation home is the best I have ever stayed in! The house is well-represented in the stunning pictures you see. It is bright, very clean, well-stocked and well-organized. Clear instructions, lots of extras included (coffee, cooking spices, toilet paper, laundry soap) that made our vacation that much easier. The AC works well, there are ceiling fans in every room, TVs in every room, extra linens and towels. The location of this property is as described in the listing. I have two kids (8 & 11) who had no trouble with the short walk to the pool and beaches. There is a ton of beach and pool equipment provided in the garage. The kids also really enjoyed the fenced in yard area. They kicked a soccer ball around, etc. The property management company totally has their act together with an app including all relevant information about the property and area as well as keys and instructions waiting for you upon arrival at the airport (no extra "check-in" stop) - a very customer-centric approach."

  • A great location

"We did have a good time at this location. Sitting on the lanai watching the waves beat on the rocks at the beach was very lovely. It was a very close walk to the beach. We were able to see whales jumping from the Lanai. We were there for a very big wind and rain storm. The skylight leaked very badly so that when we got up in the morning we had a huge puddle in the bathroom. We also had a problem with the windows opening. The unit is beautiful but is not as well taken care of as I would have expected for the price. The keys did not work well in the back door that we came in every day from the garage. There were several beach chairs and lots of snorkeling gear and umbrellsa in the garage for use. That was a huge plus."
