  • Beautiful property!

"We have stayed at Plantation Gardens many times in the past and more than once in this unit. It has a perfect location with a beautiful ocean view. Trades keep you nice and cool and we enjoyed cooking breakfast and eating out on the Lanai in the morning then drinks in the afternoon before dinner. This is a beautifully upgraded property with nice furniture, comfortable bed and one of the nicest bathrooms of any property in the Plantation group. The Poipu area has amazing restaurants close by and the beach in front of the property has swimming snorkeling and for us surfers a perfect break just to the left of the condo property over a beautiful reef. The kitchen is fully stocked if you wish to cook in with a newly remodeled kitchen and nice pans ect to cook with. We have traveled to all the Islands and this area is one of our favorites. We will be back again in the future!"

  • Great Family Vacation

"The house has a fabulous location. Close to the beach. Beautiful views of the ocean from the rooftop deck. The kitchen is well stocked with anything you could need. The overall house is very spacious (larger than we expected after viewing the online pictures). Our family included 3 generations and we all had ample space to spread out. Unfortunately the house does not have air conditioning. The trade winds were not blowing during our trip so we were toasty with only fans (and cold showers) to cool off."

  • Perfect Spot for my Wife's 80th Birthday

"You cannot beat the location of this ground floor end unit. You do not have to “go” to the beach, you're there. Breakfast on the lanai offers outstanding views and the famous Poipu sunsets from the grass in front of our lanai provided for memorable experiences as well. This was our fourth stay at Kiahuna. On our most recent stay there we loved the beachfront location and had learned about it on your website so we stopped by and asked the current renters about their level of satisfaction with the unit and the owners. High marks on both scores. In April of 2015 my wife decided that she’d like to return to Kiahuna to celebrate her 80th. I got in touch with the co-owner by email and we made the appropriate arrangements. He proved to be exceptionally responsive and affable so we have been able to do everything by email. This unit is managed by Castle Resorts. They do a good job and try to be as responsive as possible to their guests. In this particular case they did an outstanding job of assuring a Disabled Parking spot very close to the condo by actually creating one for me. The advantage of an end unit is that one has excellent cross ventilation as well as more light (we have stayed in a middle unit before and, believe me, ends are better). The furniture was in excellent condition and the kitchen furnished fully as one would expect. When we go back I’ll get better instructions on how to use the cable TV more effectively but we did all right. The wi-fi signal was very strong at all times. Our ten-night stay included one day’s housekeeping services in the rate and we were given our choice of when that was to be. We chose the Wednesday (we had arrived Friday) and were allowed to select the time for that service. It was done completely with all linens swapped out and all expendable items replaced. Everything worked as expected and things were, as the Brits say, “in good nick.” We got home late Monday night and I wrote this on Wednesday because I wanted to do it while everything was fresh in my mind. But, prior to doing so, I contacted the owner and booked the condo for the same time next year. Another happy birthday at Kiahuna, something to look forward to with great anticipation!"

  • Absolutely fabulous!

"My husband and I stayed here with my parents, and the gorgeous property was perfect for us. It is more beautiful than pictured, incredibly well stocked, spotlessly clean, obviously much loved by its owners, and in the most fabulous setting we could have imagined. We watched surfers and feeding turtles every day, at all times of day, from the lanai. We even spotted a reef shark, though I believe the surfers were less enthusiastic than we were! The very best snorkelling during our two week adventure on Kauai was found on the adjacent beach; we saw hundreds of colorful fish and two beautiful turtles up close and personal. The sunsets were amazing works of art...different every day. The complex is quiet, beautifully maintained and in a lovely location. It was only 15 minutes to Port Allen, where we departed for an amazing catamaran trip to see the Napali coast. The location is also a perfect home base for the myriad of amazing hiking trails in nearby Waimea State Park. Susan was terrific, answering all questions prior to booking and making the process very simple. I would highly recommend this property! We were so very sad to leave...and can't wait to return."
