  • Beautiful, private, easy

"Beautiful, well equipped home with everything you might need for the beach . I like to cook with local foods , and this kitchen was especially good for that. The neighborhood is quiet , and very convenient for everything on the west and south sides of the island. Owner is responsive and helpful. I would go back again!"

  • Fabulous vacation home!

"Me, my Mother & Granddaughter take a "Girls Trip" every year and we selected this home on Kauai. Great choice...we would recommend this home to anyone that wants to relax in a peaceful home away with easy access to a beautiful beach, the Big Save Market grocery store, Waimea Canyon and great local places to eat. We traveled from this West coast location all the way around to the farthest Northern point in Hanalei during our 9 day stay. The home is equipped with anything and everything you might want or need. You will even find maps, sites to see, lists of restaurants and best beaches, which the beach across the street is truly the best and most private away from tourist crowd. Thank you Chad and Sarah! We'll be back with more family and are recommending to friends. 😎👍🏻❤️❤️❤️"

  • Two times a charm!

"This would be the second time we have rented 'Laguna Beach House' and will be back again for more! Our family of 5 settled in like it was home once again and easily got into the rhythm of the west sunny side. Waking up to the sounds of the ocean, having our breakfast overlooking the waves and mapping out our hike for the day, we couldn't ask for a better start to ones morning. The unusual rainy weather which was consistent for the 2 weeks on the North Shore made us appreciate the fact we were staying on the sunny side and grateful to return to Laguna Beach House each afternoon for cheese & wine on the beach across the street or sometimes we would have our dinner on the beach and watch the sunset. This beautiful home offers a peaceful home base to adventure out from and a lovely local community to give you the real Aloha spirit. If you're looking for hustle and bustle, fast food, shops and tourists this is not your spot but you can certainly drive to that from your paradise above the ocean on the sunny side."

  • GREAT PLACE TO STAY ON THE WESTSIDE

"We stayed at the Kala Beach Cottage from 04/09 – 04/16. After a couple initial incidents, which were handled promptly by Sarah, the remaining stay was uneventful and quite relaxing. The service person even stopped by a day later to see if any other problems had arisen. What great service. If you want to get away from the resort areas and just relax without the hustle and bustle that comes with that lifestyle, the west end is the place to stay. Kekaha is a quiet town almost at the end of the road, with very little happening after the sun goes down. Being located across from a school was not a problem, as all the keiki waiting for school did not create a ruckus. Did not even know they were there. The cottage is located 1 block from Kekaha State beach and comes fully stocked with everything you need except for food, which can be purchased in Waimea (3 miles east) or on base at PMRF (6 miles west), if you can access the base. There are beach toys, snorkel equipment, beach chairs, umbrella and enough beach towels for a small army. The cottage iis located a short drive from Waimea canyon and Polihale state beach. To access Polihale beach I recommended you have a 4WD vehicle and read your car rental agreement. You do not want to be stuck out there. It is as far as the road goes on the west side of the island and I am sure the tow charge would be the price of another vacation on Kauai. This is our 4th time staying in Kauai and each time we have stayed on the west side. The isolation is what makes this so peaceful and quiet. In addition, the Kala Cottage feels like home. Just a nice place to hang out after the sun sets and allow you to recharge for the next days adventure on the Garden Isle. Would definitely rent this property again next time on the island"
