  • Very nice and well kept cottage, close to all of the North Shore amenities and tourist attractions

"Everything you could ask for is in this small but comfortable cottage. It was private, very nicely decorated, had all of the important kitchen appliances, and recreational gear for the beach including towels and lounge chairs. The only drawback was the proximity to Wylie Road, which has a fair volume of traffic early in the morming from the employees of the Westin Resort down the street. The cottage is only two miles from Hanalei, 6 miles from Kilauea, and about 25 to 30 minutes from Haena Beach State Park, and convenient to everything Princeville has to offer. While on island, we discovered the Hideaways Pizza Pub, which despite the name, features a full menu of Italian food. Hands down, the service, food and classic mai tais at the St. Regis Makana Terrace (much better than from the bar) are the best. One note of caution regarding a popular Hanalei restaurant: do not eat sushi at the Hanalei Dolphin, which is reputedly the best seafood restaurant on the North Shore. It is made under very unsanitary conditions, with the "cooks" using a towel to clean their hands and wipe pieces of raw fish off of the preparation surface."

  • Most wonderful vacation ever

"This vacation has been a long time dream that was put into motion in early 2015. We had searched Homeaway.com for island rentals and found this wonderful gem that was the perfect place to spend the second week of our time in paradise. Although the beach is not for swimming, it is a beautiful brown sand and you are right there for the sea breeze and the surf to put you to sleep at night. Walking the beach was great, watching the whales, and taking walks to the main street of Waimea to stroll through the shops or get lunch at a local restaurant was enjoyable. Great ice cream shop too. We would not hesitate to return to this island and this wonderful home away from home."
