  • Perfect home away from home!

"Our family stayed for two weeks and were so comfortable the entire time! This condo is nicely stocked with everything you need including beach chairs, umbrellas and toys for the little ones yet it has some beautiful updates that make it very nice to stay in. The masterbed was VERY comfortable and even the pull out couch bed was comfortable. We especially enjoyed being on the bottom floor as we could walk right out of our condo to the beach. Very convenient with little ones! We highly recommend this place especially if you have a family!"

  • Perfect vacation experience!

"My wife and I visited Maui in early November 2016 and stayed at Mahana #215 for 6 nights. The condo itself was great and exactly as advertised. The kitchen was fully equipped and all appliances worked well. The furniture was comfortable and clean as was the bed. I felt as if I was at home. My only concern was that the self-closing front door mechanism is not strong enough to close the front door completely. The A/C was more than capable of cooling the unit to arctic levels although this time of year meant it was barely needed during the day and not at all at night. An open patio door and the sound of waves while going to sleep is as good as it gets. The view is spectacular and the second-floor location takes advantage of it perfectly. You can spend a considerable amount of time gazing at the water, sunset, surfers, Molokai, and Lanai. Unfortunately, this was not whale season but they would surely put on a good show. The terrace is nice and spacious but went mostly unused during our visit. With the sliding doors closed, you could only slightly hear the waves breaking. I never heard voices, noises, or footsteps from adjoining units. It would difficult for people outside to see you inside unless you were right near the windows. You could walk naked through most of the unit without anyone seeing you. You are within easy driving distance from anything in West Maui. There is a small strip mall a very short walk away that includes a supermarket, places to eat, and snorkel equipment rental, among other things. There are a couple of stand-alone restaurants within easy walking distance as well. The sandy beach in front of the complex comes and goes but in front of the property just to the South is a large sandy beach which can be accessed easily by the using Mahana’s beach access steps and walking South or by taking the public access boardwalk accessible from the parking lot (right behind unit #215). However, there are a lot of beaches in the general area. We did not spend much time using complex amenities and did not ever use the pool. However, the pool area was very nice and never appeared overcrowded. There are several BBQ grills available both in the pool area and the surrounding grounds. Parking is free and never overcrowded. Plenty of towels were supplied in the unit although larger “beach-sized” towels would have been a nice addition. We could not have asked for a better stay and I hope to return soon!"

  • Fantastic views; comfortable home away from home

"Stayed here on our honeymoon. It was perfect! The pics are accurate, the views are amazing. The floor-to-ceiling window and surrounding mirrors make it feel like you're walking on water. Nice big balcony; we saw turtles swimming right in front of the resort each morning. Being on the 7th floor is just above the palm trees which would likely obstruct your view otherwise, but low enough where you still feel close to the water and get the full effect of "oceanfront". We fell asleep to the sound of crashing ocean waves each night. Comfortable bed and furniture. FULL amenities - anything you could possibly need is there, including bonuses like beach and snorkeling gear! Kathy & David's guest book/guide book is awesome, giving you all the local grocery stores, coffee shops, fish market (highly recommend for buying fresh fish to cook in!), best snorkeling spots, restaurants, etc. We took several of their recommendations and weren't disappointed! Plus the resort has a nice pool, spa, & BBQs to use and lounge chairs along the water. Great location: a little more remote, away from the big crowds closer to Whalers Village and Lahaina but only a short distance from there when you do want to head into town. It's a silly thing, but the shower had terrific water pressure (this is something lacking in most hotels). Overall, our stay was extremely pleasant and we're glad we chose the Mahana!!"

  • Terrific Location & Views

"This unit was perfect for my wife, our 18 month daughter and I. I don't think you can get any closer to the water unless you're standing in it. The unit amenities (especially the outdoor private deck) were terrific and allowed our daughter a safe place to play while not at the beach. It was well stocked, had nice functional amenities and was quiet (aside from the waves). The location is very close to stores, coffee, other resorts, etc. which we found very helpful as we walked the majority of our stay. The unit description met our expectation if not exceeded it. Check in, customer service etc. was terrific. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and would stay in the unit again. The overall building was a little bit tired but once in the unit, any topical issues were quickly forgotten."
