  • The best location on Kaanapoli Beach

"We have stayed in several different units at The Whaler, both studio and one bedroom. This studio was by far the best, with high end appliances, Tommy Bahama decor, and a view of Black Rock that can't be beat. The north-facing lanai was usable all day as there was no direct sun except early in the morning. Add the location next door to Whaler's Village, with restaurants and shopping, and there is no reason to stay anywhere else."

  • Cream of the Crop on Kaanapali Beach

"My husband and I stayed in this unit for one week this past November. It was our fourth time staying in Whalers, and by far the best accommodation. The condo had been completely renovated and looked and felt brand new. It had a spacious, stylish living room and a bedroom with a very comfortable king size bed, a fully-equipped, clean kitchen, and a large lanai with a gorgeous ocean view overlooking Black Rock. Definitely my top recommendation if you can manage to reserve it. It will be good for 2,4 or 5 people to stay. Whalers itself is the ideal location: it's right on the beach, and houses the best snorkeling and swimming areas, restaurants, and entertainment."

  • Rest, Relaxation, Privacy, PEACEFUL

"We have had a long and hard year, which includes the death of our father. Before he died, we had a bucket list for what we would do when he got better. A family vacation in Maui was #1 on the list. After the dust settled, we decided to book the vacation in his memory, and I was appointed to locate the house. Thankfully, we found this one, and it was all that we hoped for and more. It has a ton of space, so we all had room to do our own thing. We had 3 teenagers and 4 adults. It's got loads of outdoor privacy, so we enjoyed the deck and pool to our heart's content. All of us with jobs work in customer service, so having peace, quiet and privacy was huge for us. We loved driving down the hill to hang at Kaanapali in the morning for snorkeling, and then half the group would come home to chill by the pool, while the remainder rode afternoon waves or explored other beaches. There are loads of beach accessories and towels, which made life easy. We went to Black Rock often for sunset, and it was just spectacular. We went to the Maui fish market many times and enjoyed family meals, grilling, laughing and lounging on comfy couches while the kids played pool. Bonus- the house had a great deal of staples, so we did not have to buy oil, sugar, etc. Two minor suggestions- get Roku for the TVs, so people can stream Netflix. Consider upgrading the queen beds- 2 were pretty firm and could benefit from a topper. Otherwise we would totally come back here, loved and appreciated all the customer support we got thru the process and feel well rested and relaxed after this much needed vacation !!!"

  • Loved this location at the Alii!

"My husband and I and our two daughters stayed here for our vacation last summer (just getting around to writing the review) We have stayed at otter condos in the Alii and surrounding areas and this condo was by far the most beautiful place we have ever stayed! I also loved the fact that we could see the girls on the beach from the lanai! The girls also loved being able to see all that was going on on the boardwalk below. I highly recommend this condo and am looking forward to our return visit... Hopefully soon!!"
