"We had a great time in Maui! The condo was very nice and a great home base. Comfortable beds and bedding, plenty of pillows, dishes, tv's etc. I would rent this again in a heart beat"

  • Great little condo and amazing island! We will definitely be visiting again!

"The property is in a good location close to a beautiful beach and marina! Whale watching is a must in the mornings while enjoying your coffee on the lanai. The building was very clean and quiet. For all that visit make sure to walk down to the general store as it serves the best coffee and amazing assortment of cakes!"

  • Perfect Spot for Whale Watching!

"We stayed at Mort's Port from March 1st - 15th 2017. Everything in the condo was as advertised and it was perfect for our group of 4. Let's start with the view, which is why I booked it in the first place. Bring your zoom lens and tripod. I took over 1200 photos on this trip, all but about 150 of them are of whales. I took most of the shots right from the 3rd floor lanai or from the shore line on the property. If you are going to Maui to see whales, stay here. The grounds are nicely landscaped and very well maintained. The pool is a decent size and is heated . The building also has a couple of elevators and a luggage cart making it super easy to move in and bring in supplies. We used the gas grills by the pool to cook dinner several times. The condo was clean and is extremely well equipped. The kitchen included all the pots and pans you need to cook a gourmet meal. There was a great selection of spices in the cabinet, plastic containers, baggies, paper towels, silverware, plates, glass and plastic glasses. Basically everything you'll need for your stay. The real bonuses were all the other stuff, like beach chairs, beach umbrellas, snorkeling gear for 4, two coolers plus a giant Costco cooler bag, pool noodles, a spotting scope and a set of high quality binoculars, a mini stereo, flat screen TV's, comfy beds and furniture you can get comfortable on. The unit has a wall-mounted A/C in the living room which cools the entire unit, but also gets a good breeze, so we only used it on hot calm days/nights. The ceiling fans combined with the provided portable fans, worked great most of the time. The location is just a few blocks away from the Maalaea harbor, where most of the whale watching boats depart. We took 3 whale watching trips and a snorkeling/whale watching trip to Molokini while we stayed there. Prices for these tours were very reasonable. The Pacific Whale Foundation parking lot is literally at the end of the short street the condo is on. There are a few restaurants and shops at the harbor, and the condo is a quick drive to Kihei, which has tons of good restaurants, shops, beach parks and a Safeway. It only takes about 15 minutes, on the best 4 lane divided highway on the island to get to Kahului where the airport, Costco and Walmart are all located. Lahaina is also only a short drive up the coast. We obviously loved staying at Mort's Port and when we come back to Maui, this is where we'll stay again. I'm really glad I found it."

  • Everything we wanted in paradise

"The condo was exactly as presented in photos. It was less than 30 steps from the ocean and had a view with sunrises to die for. The owners were fabulous at getting back to us when we had enquiries and graciously shared all of their extras like a kayak, beach chairs, beach towels, cooler and more. A welcome basket was a touching gesture of kindness. The grounds of the condo are incredibly well kept and we were graced by a very friendly duck who waddled our way to say hello once or twice a day! The pool and hot tub are small but do the trick. For the most part we were the only ones in them. McParadise is located in a central location between Lahaina and Kihei which is perfect for providing opportunities to explore the island in all directions. It is in a very quiet area away from the busyness of town, shops and people so if you like it quiet... it is really quiet. No traffic noise- just the crashing waves. No light pollution- just hundreds of stars. What we loved best was that it was so close to a beach that went on for many kilometres. We walked it in the morning and at night where we loved watching dozens of turtles feeding along the shoreline. For the most part we were the only ones on the beach! We may meet a few people on our walks but felt like it belonged only to us. The beach also runs parallel to a magnificent boardwalk and wildlife viewing area. Many folks have to travel to visit this location and for us it was in our backyard. We were able to capture incredible photos and bird watching which was an unexpected surprise. Because the condo is located out of town we ate many meals here. We had everything we needed to create incredible meals cooked on the community barbeques that we ate on our waterfront patio. Ma'alaea has a couple of restaurants and a deli but that is about all that you will find here. Again- it is the quiet that made it the perfect place to stay for us. The whale watching and snorkelling boats leave from the harbour so a short walk has you on your way to an ocean adventure. We were thrilled to be in Maui at the end of whale season and were able to see whales from our deck as well as enjoy an excursion where we saw many whales leaping, feeding and splashing in the bay. We would like to thank Edward and Alexandra and hope that we will come this way again one day."
