  • Paradise in Maalaea

"Above all, I was attracted by the spectacular views of the “Oceanfront Penthouse” and next by the luxuriousness of the interior decoration - I love discovering owners who strive to impart character, charm and comfort, in addition to practicality and convenience, into their vacation rentals. Andreas Romer is such a one. First of all, the location was convenient to shopping, tour boat departures and the fascinating Maui Ocean Center. The tour book “Maui Reveled” even recommends Maalaea as a great location for those wanting to explore the island in depth. As for the penthouse itself, it was impeccably clean and tastefully appointed and we felt we were in the lap of luxury. The living room sofas were very comfortable with plenty of pillows for relaxing after the day’s activities and the large flat screen TV and Internet service were very satisfactory. The king sized bed was great and it was truly wonderful to fall asleep and awaken to the sound of the ocean waves lapping the shoreline and to the feel of tropical breezes bringing with them the purest air in the world. The kitchen has plenty of pots, pans, utensils, dishes, silverware, etc. all of excellent quality and just about everything else you might need for dining in, including cloth place mats and napkins. If you do find anything missing, Andreas will get it for you. We mentioned that an apron for cooking would be nice, and the next day there was one for each of us! There were also a few basics like salt, olive oil, butter and spices as well as some refreshments in the refrigerator – rare finds in a vacation rental! We also kept the two beach chairs and the beach towels provided in the trunk of our rent-a-car during our stay so we were always ready for a stop at any beach we chose to explore – the swimming was wonderful! We also hiked to fantastic waterfalls along the Road to Hana and visited the Haleakala Volcano. (The in-house washer/dryer kept the towels and hiking clothes ready for daily service!). We usually had breakfast and dinner out on the lanai and in the evenings we delighted in the colors of the sunset and later we’d watch the moon rise over the water. There is also a beautiful dinning room table with seating for six inside if you have company. We have stayed at many nice places but none were cared for with Andreas’ attention to detail and no owner has shown more commitment to making sure we had everything we needed and that we were enjoying our stay. We'll definitely be back!"

"Aloha! It was absolutely wonderful staying here! The many sea turtles right off our balcony were incredible to watch, and there were tons of curious birds. The location is very convenient and the beaches w/in walking distance were amazing. Thank you for such a clean, peaceful place to stay. We cherished our time here. Jessica This place was AWESOME! Great way to celebrate 5 years. Oh and being able to look out everyday and watch sea turtles is pretty cool too! Thank you / Mahalo - We would stay here again! Stephen"

  • Beautiful condo, great location!

"Two of us stayed here for a week and truly loved the place! There was nothing lacking and we had everything we needed for a week in paradise. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking which we did quite a bit, and really enjoyed our meals and drinks on the lanai with a gorgeous view of the ocean and beach. The king sized bed was super comfortable, so much that I wanted to bring it home with us! Love the mattress. We also really loved this location. I have been to Maui once and stayed in Ka'anapali. I really preferred Kihei for the location and the vibe. The concierge down near the office was very helpful in booking some activities for us. Her recommendations were spot on. Thanks Mary! And thank you to the Sage's for providing such a warm and comfortable home!!"

  • A great family vacation!

"Our stay in Yasmine's 4th floor condo was wonderful. This was our first time at Mana Kai Maui and it's a great place for families. We were there with our son, his wife, and our 18 month old grandson. They stayed in the bedroom with their own bathroom and TV (very quiet and private), and we slept in the bedroom area near the front balcony. A Pack 'n Play was provided for our grandson's bed (we brought bedding). The condo is quiet, comfortable, and air-conditioned, which we really appreciated. The unit is newly remodeled with a nice little kitchen, which was clean and well-stocked with dishes for 6-8 people, pots, pans and utensils for easy prep of full meals (salt and pepper and coffee filters provided; bring the rest). The view from the unit is spectacular, and the access to the beach and pool was easy. Our grandson loved the expansive, well-maintained lawns where he ran and played ball every day. Yasmine promptly responded to our questions and requests both before we arrived and during our stay. The Five Palms restaurant, on-site, near the pool and beach is kid-friendly and has great happy hour specials! The on-site grocery/sundries store came in handy too. We highly recommend this unit and will return!"
