  • Awesome unit, great location, mesmerizing ocean sounds

"This resort offers a calm, laid back feel, great amenities and a central location which  makes getting anywhere on the island a breeze. Unit 525 is awesome and we couldn't have been happier!! We always hope our VRBO condo will be as good as it looks.  Our goal is to pick a place good enough that each day you have to decide whether you're going to just stay put ... or do some exploring.  At Sugar Beach... mission accomplished.  We were always slow to head out and happily coming back to enjoy the sunset from the lanai.  It was our favorite place to be. In addition, the condo was extremely well provisioned, so that it truly seemed almost like home.  We enjoy cooking, and the kitchen was stocked with utensils, pots and an ample supply of condiments, spices, olive oil, vinegar... even sirracha!  Laundry soap, dryer sheets and even spot remover were provided.  The bed was very comfortable and the unit was quiet.  And the parking is covered and a very short walk. The pool area was a great place to hang out, and the beach was uncrowded and a great place to walk.   The on site SandWitch cafe is also a nice amenity. We've been to Hawai'i many times, and wanted to visit Maui when the whales were in residence.  We never tired of watching the whales easily seen from the lanai, and we did a whale watch with Pacific Whale Foundation.  Don't miss the twice weekly "40 Ton" talk at the NOAA Whale Sanctuary in Kihei. We've been avid whale watchers for decades, and, to our surprise,  we were impressed with the informative and very current presentation.  We prefer the Kihei area to Kannapali and old Lahaina.  It has a real town feeling with lots of well priced restaurants, all of which are frequented by locals as well.  Kalama Park for sunset was a great, and every morning, the local canoe clubs would be on the water.  For a small fee, you can just show up and join in."

  • Wonderful!

"We stayed for 9 nights at this lovely condo. It's centrally located and an easy drive to any location you'd like to see! You can also go for long walks on a fairly empty sandy beach. The trade winds were comfortable and we didn't require The a/c while there. The condo was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed."

  • A week in paradise

"It started when we opened the front door, we were greeted by the beautiful ocean view with the island of Molikini The balcony becconed with the sound of surf and trade winds though the palm trees. Clean, spacious condo that accommodated 5 of us comfortably. Kitchen had everything nessesary for cooking in and the access to the beach offered easy entertainment for our children. Also, there is a well maintained lovely pool with several lounge chairs and a beautiful white sand beach just a couple feet away. Washer and dryer in the unit were a big plus. We already booked our time for next year. This is a must stay condo!!"

  • CLEAN! Home away from home.

"Todd, my husband and I would like to thank you for giving us the opportunity to stay at your beautiful, well-cared for condo. It never felt like a place we were renting for our vacation. It truly felt like it was our home. I have no idea how we got so comfortable there but it was a wonderful feeling! We didn't want to leave on our last day. It was a bit sad for us saying goodbye to our Maalaea home but we are so happy we discovered it. This will be our ONLY place we stay when we visit Maui. Centrally located, so we were able to go to Kahului, Paia, Kaanapali, Lahaina, Kihei, etc. without having to travel so long. We were also able to do the Road to Hana from here with ease. The Maui Ocean Center was really cool as well, being able to walk to it from home. Being able to open up the large sliding glass door every night to hear the ocean's crashing waves was very relaxing and worth it for us. I have nothing but positive things to say about your place. Also, Todd, we'd like to thank you for allowing us to check in 3 hours early (unexpectedly) on the day of our arrival. That really gave us a wonderful start to our 10 year anniversary vacation. Thank you so much for everything and for your desire to accommodate your guests. It is obvious the you care about the people who stay at your beautiful home. We hope to visit again soon!"
