  • Great place and centrally located!

"Place was wonderful. Comfortable with all of the necessities, plus a little more. Central location made it easy to get to all the locations we wanted to see while there. Owners were easy to work with and extremely helpful. Great spot for a small family."

  • Exactly As the Pictures Said!

"We were thrilled with the location of our A8 Unit and would not hesitate to stay there again. The Unit itself fit the needs for the 2 of us very well. We enjoyed the quietness of the location and the proximity to the beach! The grounds were very well kept and the onsite managers were very easy to find and get along with! Perhaps new lanai furniture could be looked at. The unit was well maintained and we found all we needed to enjoy our week long stay. The proximity to the beach park next door was not an issue. Being close to Lahaina and Kihei allowed us easy access to either when we wished to visit a different location. Easy access from the airport as well! Would definitely return and would not hesitate to recommend Makani A Kai to others! T & P July 13, 2016"

  • Cute Condo on a Quiet Beach

"This is a cute little condo on a beautiful, quiet beach in Maalaea. My wife and I traveled to Maui for our Honeymoon and it was our first time in Hawaii. We felt lucky to have landed at this spot in Maalaea. The location is just a short drive from locations like Lahaina and Kihei where there is a lot more action, but there are also a ton more people and lots of vehicle traffic. Maalaea is much quieter, and the beach at the Hona Kai Resort is one of the most secluded and most chill that we found anywhere on the island. We went on a 4 mile beach walk one day and only saw 6 people, compared to beaches elsewhere that were jam packed. It was nice to come home and cook dinner on the community BBQ grills, converse with the friendly residents, and savor a glass of wine, away from the big tourist crowds and the din of commotion that we encountered in the larger resort towns. Nathan was awesome to work with- always quick to answer questions and he was very professional. Definitely a place we would love to come back to!"

  • Its all about the view!!

"Yes the view is spectacular!!! A little tv in the bedroom and updated kitchen appliances would make it comparable to other equally priced locations. But again the incredible view makes the rest secondary. We very much recommend this property. Mahalo to the owners."
