  • Best Place I've Stayed on Maui!

"I've had the privilege of visiting Maui 8 times in my life, and I've always stayed in West Maui. While I enjoy West Maui, we wanted to try something different this time. Sue and Mort's condo was absolutely ideal in every way. Due to dietary needs, we need a full and well equipped kitchen, and we didn't lack anything. We were fully able to live in this condo for 9 nights. The property itself is well maintained, and there are ample lounge chairs to sit on right by the beach. Speaking of the beach, it's probably my favorite. You can swim directly in front of the complex, and if you want to go to a beach park, just head down the road on foot the equivalent of a couple of blocks, and you'll find yourself on a piece of beach not overwhelmed by tourists. To top it off, you can probably swim with turtles here (or just watch them from the beach). Additionally, from this location, you can go just about anywhere in a decent amount of time. We spent time in Lahaina, Kaanapali, Paia, Kihei, and Wailuku. We generally ventured out during the warmest part of each day, and spent time in the sun in the morning and later afternoon. The keyless entry system made coming and going so simple, and there is no condo key to lose! We all have a choice about where to stay when planning a vacation, and I chose this condo for the reasons above, but equally important, I chose it because of the owners. Sue is incredibly responsive via email, and she gives very detailed instructions. She's a delight to work with, and the care that she and Mort have put into their Hawaii vacation home is unmatched. In addition to everything else I shared, we found that we didn't need to rent any water equipment. We have our own masks/snorkels, but all of that is there for you if you don't have it. You'll also find boogie boards, a cooler, beach chairs, and fins. On our next trip to Maui, we'll be staying at Mort's Port if at all possible. There's really no reason for us to stay anywhere else! I have already referred multiple friends to Sue and Mort, and I will continue to do so."

  • Nice place for couples or families

"My husband and I stayed at Sugar beach for a week and really enjoyed our stay! Deborah has done an amazing job updating the condo and has everything necessary to make you feel at home. We had a few power outage hiccups (entirely fluke and no ones fault), and she made sure we were well taken care of through the process! If (and when!) we return to Maui, we will be sure to return to SBR 311!"

  • Clean, nicely equipped and view was wonderful. Beachfront but quiet enough to have to windows open.

"Enjoyed our stay very much. Kihei was very welcoming, sampled many of the restaurants and had a wonderful time. Strongly recommend the snorkeling and scuba excursions. We went on aqua adventure and had a fabulous time. Overall very relaxing and worth the visit. Mahalo!"

  • Ya'll have a great place here..... enjoyed morning walks on your beach and snorkeling here.

"Ya'll have a great place here. We enjoyed our first trip to Maui thoroughly. Snorkeling the crescent island with captain John on the Four Winds II was a lot of fun. He was a great sense of humor. We also enjoyed morning walks on your beach and snorkeling here. We hope to return someday soon, Now we are off to Oahu."
