  • nice base

"the property is a little old, but well maintained. Has a pool and stair access to the ocean. 1.5 blocks south of the property is a public beach where green sea turtles feed and are easy to see any time of day. we had a fruit fly problem in the bathroom, and no we didnt have fruit there, mgmt was receptive. guide books are available in the unit. a little thrown by the note on the fridge essentially encouraging you to leave food for the people that clean the places because they don't make much money. How 'bout paying them more?"

  • Absolutely as advertised!!

"Beautiful condo with all the amenities required for a week on the beach in Maui! Maalaea Bay is much quieter area and a perfect central location from which to easily explore the island! Thanks Todd and Cindy for your hospitality (and Celia too)!!!"

  • Best Place to Stay on Maui

"This was our fourth trip to Maui and the second time we stayed at Maalaea. This is an ideal location as it is centrally located and it is very peaceful and quiet and devoid of crowds. We were thrilled to find this penthouse condo at Maalaea. We have stayed in a lot of condos and found this one to be better equipped than any other we have stayed in. You will find a very well-supplied kitchen with all the tools and dishes you could possibly want. There are spices, oils, and a few staples that we normally do not find. It was nice to know that we could buy staples that we needed and that what we left wouldn't be thrown out. You will find a great supply of linens (towels, hand towels, washcloths, beach towels). There are beach chairs and even a small cooler for packing lunches. The in-suite washer and dryer are wonderful and laundry detergent was supplied. There are a number of books to pass the time and a couple of jigsaw puzzles as well as many books about Maui. If you still can't find what you need, Andreas is always available to answer questions and point you in the right direction. The view is phenomenal. With being on the fourth floor, you look out and see nothing but ocean, palm trees, and the other side of the island. That is the view we come to Maui for! We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone else. You'll love it!"
