  • Wonderful!

"We stayed for 9 nights at this lovely condo. It's centrally located and an easy drive to any location you'd like to see! You can also go for long walks on a fairly empty sandy beach. The trade winds were comfortable and we didn't require The a/c while there. The condo was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed."

  • A little piece of paradise

"We loved this condo. We have stayed in Maalaea at other condos before and think that Joe and his wife have one of the best condos in the area. It is far enough away from the marina that you don't hear the tour boat operators yelling instructions to their groups at 7 am every morning. It is a very short walk to a lovely stretch of beach, but far enough away that you don't get any crowds on the private beach in front of the condo. The beach in front of the condo is lovely to relax and sit on the chairs and loungers that are provided, but not really good for swimming due to the sharp rocks. It is a very short walk to restaurants, the aquarium, mini golf and stores. Their unit is on the top floor and set back beside the west wing which gives the balcony added privacy. There are windows on both the north and south side of the unit which allows for wonderful ocean breezes to blow through the condo. I was so happy to hear that they had installed central air conditioning but we didn't need to use it our entire trip as the breezes and ceiling fans kept the condo so cool. My husband and I loved staying up in the loft, it felt like we were sleeping in a treehouse. Even though it was an open air loft, we found it to be surprisingly private. If you were using BOTH of the loft bedrooms you would lose some of that privacy, though, as anyone using the second loft bedroom has to walk through the main loft bedroom to access the bathroom and bedroom, and the second loft also has an open air railing to the bedroom below. We have rented from VRBO a lot and found that Joe made the rental process one of the easiest and most hassle free experiences that we have ever had, with no cleaning fee or damage deposit to have to deal with. He was also incredibly helpful which made our holiday planning process much easier. I will definitely recommend this vacation rental without hesitation. Thanks Joe for everything and for sharing your little piece of paradise with us."

  • Amazing location !!

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The view was spectacular and we saw whales every day. The harbour is a short walk away with a few restaurants, tourist shops and convenience stores. The beach is a short walk away as well in the opposite direction and is not busy at all. This location is between Lahaina and Kihei so it is easy to get to the shopping centers and popular beaches. We had everything that we needed in our condo as well as beach chairs, umbrella and snorkelling gear. Would definitely stay here again !!"

  • Perfect for a large family

"I stayed here with my parents and my adult siblings (5 total including me), and there was more than enough space for all of us. It was perfect, really. Location is central and everything could be reached by car easily. Parking included in the cost of the rental was great, as well. Just be careful of that speed bump going in and out if your car has a low bumper like ours did. A repairman, Arnold, was making repairs to the condo when we arrived, but he was nice and gave us plenty of tips on where to eat and the best time of day to go to certain attractions. The view from the lanai was wonderful. Unfortunately, it rained 3 out of the 4 days we were on Maui! But that didn't make the scenery any less beautiful. Just disappointed that we didn't get to see the stars and a perfect Haleakala sunrise. Swimming pool was nice, with shower facilities near the pool, as well. And the shoreline next to the swimming pool was perfect for spotting honu! We so many, and even some jumping fish. Humpback whales haven't really arrived yet, so we missed them. But this would have been a perfect spot to see them from shore! Wonderful view of south Maui to relax to any time of the day or night. Two bathrooms really saved our family of 5 (and I am talking about our sanity)! I do not think it was cleaned before we arrived since there was lots of dirt around the bathtub of one of the bathrooms, but it didn't really detract much from our stay or experience. A little wipe cleared it up. The closet connected to the main bathroom was full of useful items left from other visitors that are really handy: coolers, beach umbrellas, lots of beach towels, bodyboards, insect repellent, shampoo, after-sun gel, etc. Washer and dryer combo was also super convenient, if only to keep us from having too much dirty laundry to lug home! There was even detergent and dryer sheets to use. Kitchen was full of everything you could possibly need. So many cups, plates, mugs, bowls, etc. You will only need to buy the food you will cook and eat for the stay. Barbara even left us a loaf of banana bread in the fridge! There is also a filtered pitcher in the fridge, so no need to buy your own bottles of water or your own filter/pitcher. So convenient. Was it a super luxury condo? No, but it was so much more than we anticipated for the price and area that I wouldn't hesitate to book this condo again. My family is already talking about coming back to Maui!"
