  • Location, location, location

"The location of the condo was perfect; near everything but away from all the crowds. Every morning we woke up to a beautiful sunrise over Haleakala. The condo was well equipped and perfect for 4 adults, the lanai was out favorite spot. We could see turtles and watch and listen to the waves. We were 5 minutes from the harbor where we took an amazing snorkeling tour of Molokini and later on had the most wonderful intimate meal on Trilogy's sunset dinner cruise. We would drive to the beaches near Wailea. Polo Beach and Makena were our favorites. We saw some amazing sunsets from these beaches. We cooked most of our meals and the condo had all the kitchen items we needed. The condo was very clean and had very large beach towels, chairs, ice chests and boogy boards. You will want to have a car to see the island. You can walk to harbor and there are restaurants and shops nearby. During late September and first of October is a great time to visit, there were not many tourist here at this time. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this unit.."

  • Excellent relaxation spot

"This property far exceeded our expectations. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Stephanie was amazingly responsive, she answered all of our questions, usually within 20 minutes and was a knowledgeable resource for information about the island and local events. The condo is situated on a beautiful, fairly quiet beach that is walkable for several miles, all the way to Kihei in fact. One of the members of my party walked it every morning. The condo has all the fun beach equipment one needs (chairs, towels, boogie boards, etc...) which was a pleasant surprise. It was never too warm with the doors open and breeze blowing through the unit but the AC was still a nice addition. The internet and TV worked fine and we found the kitchen to be well stocked with pots/pans/utensils even though we preferred to utilize the BBQs provided in the common area. I rented the condo with two other people, we have all used AirBnB or VRBO in the past and we all agreed that this was our best experience renting from either site. You will not be disappointed."

  • Very central location and great property for your next vacation

"My sister and I stayed here at the end of October 2016 for a week and feel in love with the island. The suite itself is on the 3rd floor with a lanai overlooking the pool area and towards the ocean. The interior was clean and well-maintained with lots of room for the 2 of us. We even requested the 2nd bedroom of 2 twins be converted to a king bed which made flipping a coin for rooms more appealing. The room with the twin beds though did get quite humid. We enjoyed making our own dinner in the full kitchen and then eating on the lanai. I was impressed with how centrally located the property was and how easy it is to get to from any part of Maui. We went on hikes to south Maui, drove to the Haleakala Crater for sunrise, drove north on the Road to Hana, and west to Lahaina and it was always easy to get back to our hotel at the end of the day. Not only was the spot central to everything it was also in a great spot that wasn't as touristy compared to the rest of the island. Which meant it was more relaxing and calmer to come home to after a full day touring the island. We did spend a few days also lounging by the pool and in the grassed area (beach isn't large enough to set-up camp on) and because of the property's location it was quite windy. Which turned out to be great when you're sunbathing in the heat of the day! I honestly have nothing negative to say about this place, owners were great, property manager was nice, and our vacation was memorable and relaxing! We will definitely return in the future. Mahalo!"

  • Highly Recommend!

"This is our second time staying at the Sprecks Plantation House and we will definitely be back. We have stayed in both the Plumeria and Mango units. The units are beautifully decorated and have everything you need including very comfortable beds. The kitchens are well appointed and provide all the pots/pans and utensils you need to cook in (including a gas BBQ). The whole complex is meticulously cared for..inside and out. We had the misfortune of getting a flat tire while we were here. Glen, the owner, happened to be on the property and just jumped in and changed our tire without being asked. What a great guy! A few bonuses: laundry; miscellaneous beach items for your use (umbrellas; chairs; toys; snorkelling gear); bicycles (it is a very short ride to Baby Beach through the neighbourhood or Kanaha Beach along a bike path) Some people worry about airplane noise when considering Specklesville. We are light sleepers and sleep with the doors and windows open. Yes, you hear the airplanes...but we did not find them that disruptive. The minor inconvenience of hearing the occasional airplane is far outweighed by the rest of the experience. (Note - you can cut down on the noise if you open only the south facing doors and windows)"
