  • Great place to stay!

"This listing was the perfect balance for us. We were looking for somewhere nice, yet affordable. This condo met both. We also needed a condo that had a balcony that faced the ocean, preferably close. The view from this condo is amazing. We loved it and spent much time just chilling. I didn't measure, but would guess that the water is less than 30 feet from the building. This condo is on the 3rd floor. The location is right by the harbor and the maui aquarium. It is nice in that respect, since it is central to everything. You could easily walk to either. There are some stores close by if you needed supplies. Beach bums restaurant is also within walking distance. We couldn't find any other restaurant close, besides the one at the aquarium. The pizza place was closed for remodeling. The one that used to be in the condo building and the Italian place seem to be closed for good. The condo itself is located on a dead end street, which is nice since the only traffic is others who are staying at one of the condos, or someone who is very lost. There was some construction on the entrance/parking to our condo, but it was never a problem. The condo has a covered parking garage and a specified parking spot. That part was nice. I appreciated not having to worry or fight for parking. Just make sure you don't back into the parking spot. We did and got a warning note on our car. I didn't understand that, but hey, whatever. There were shopping carts to help carry stuff up to the condo. We actually used them several times. We went shopping the second day, for groceries and such at Walmart. Plastic bags are banned on Maui, so you have to purchase reusable ones when shopping. They are only 50 cents, so no big deal. We left ours for others to use in one of the cupboards. The condo itself opens up to a long hallway with the bedroom on the left, then the bathroom, also on the left and then the kitchen and front room and then the balcony. There is air conditioning and it works pretty well, especially for the front room and kitchen. It seems to struggle to get the air flow to the bedroom. We were told that this year has been extra hot in Maui and that usually there are trade winds that keep everything cool. We agreed with the extra hot part and didn't experience the cool part. The condo was well stocked to get us started and we loved the pineapple and bread! Very appreciated! Mahalo."

"perfect beach front hawaii house! my husbands is a windsurfer - i m not, yet this house was ideal for both of us: he was able to launch from the beach while i was able to do fabulous beach runs and enjoy the true feel of hawaii. the kids learned windsurfing in the local protected cove area within walking distance.....and had plenty of space to play croquet and badmitton (all equiptment is house provided). as said: perfect location for all. the house is incredibly equipped: 2 fridges, everything one could need to cook and entertain friends, toys, snorkeling and fishing equiptment, boogie boards, beach towels.... the list goes on! all bedrooms have ac for comfortable sleeping. mostly however is the location. we enjoyed nightly dinners watching the incredible sunsets, turtles feeding near the wall daily, trips to paia if feeling the need to wander (location allows easy access to most of the island) but mostly we enjoyed the space to be with friends and share the true beauty of hawaii. not only would i recommend the house - we re looking at the calender to plan our next visit. aloha."

  • Maui Vacation

"Wonderful Condo located in the quiet area of Maalea. In Maui for five days and drove to Hana, watched the PGA Tour in Kapalua and surfed in Kihea but it was nice to return to this very comfortable condo at the end of the day. The place has everything you need for your stay such as beach chairs, beach towels, etc. Very relaxing in the evening with the waves so close by. We definitely recommend this condo for your stay in Maui."

  • Excellent place to stay!

"This is our fifth year in a row coming to Hawaii, and we usually go to Kauai. However, we came to Maui this time for a wedding. Maui is more expensive, but this place was a good deal and as others have said - Ron was great to work with. This condo complex is great because it is small, quiet, and has a wonderful view. It has an enclosed lawn which was great for our 18 month old son to run around on, and the pool was fun for him too. The views are amazing and the wildlife watching is out of this world! The room was just perfect for us. Washer and dryer (THANK GOD!), dishwasher (HALLELUJAH!), and full size fridge and freezer. Everything was very clean and nicely set up. I will echo the comments of others - all the toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc. that you could need which is SO nice. We did a lot of cooking in the room and had a very easy time of it. We did a lot of laundry and also had an easy time of it. Overall this place was awesome and we plan to book again if returning to Maui in the future (and I think we will). Don't listen to the comments about this place not being updated, etc. It has a nice fresh feel, and you shouldn't be spending a lot of time in your room staring at any chipped paint, anyway! Lol :) Thanks for a great stay!"
