  • Very nice view

"My husband and I stayed from 11/03 thru 11/12. We woke up every morning to a view was "Outstanding" to say the least. Yes, would love to return sometime in the future. Loved the grassy lawn and coconut trees for the shade, very soft sand at the beach, and the water was warm."

  • A great location for a getaway

"This unit is wonderfully located right on the beach in North Kihei, within walking distance to grocery stores, restaurants, and beaches. It provided an excellent base for a Maui geatway. The unit itself is well equipped, although some of the furniture and carpets are 'well used'. The 1-bedroom is actually not separated from the rest of the unit by a door, so if you are staying with friends or family, be aware that you may not have all of the romantic privacy you might like (!). The facilities at Hale Kai O'KIhei are great, although we were more interested in snorkelling, bike riding and other day trips, so did not actually use the small plunge pool or the outside shuffle board. We did lounge on the chairs, and enjoyed the spectacular sunsets from our patio. Wifi is very slow, so don't expect to be able to stay connected to work without a lot of patience (which might be the point, after all). We would definitely go back, although we'd be happier still if the unit had a few renovations."

  • 4 stars, would be 5, but the noise from the parking lot was a bit much a couple times.

"We had a great time. The condo is remodeled beautifully. The ocean view is awesome and walking distance to shopping, grocery and liquor stores, and excellent restaurants. We would stay again."

  • Excellent VRBO stay in Kihei, Maui

"I was very happy with the condo we used in Kihei Maui. The listing is correct. It was clean and well maintained. I would recommend to family and friends with one caution....lack of sound privacy between the two bedrooms.....could hear snoring etc etc through the louvered doors/walls. Would have preferred solid walls and doors! I also would have liked direct info from the owners. ....I had brought salt and pepper, seasonings, beach towels, even a teapot for my NZ family only to find the condo had it all! Things I really liked: *the view across a beautiful lawn with palm trees to the ocean and sunset....just as I had hoped. *away from a busy street *well stocked with amenities like good cookware, dishwasher, frig, micro, Ninja blender, coffee pot, hair dryer, and even a teapot! *well stocked with commodities like S&P, flour, sugar, oils and vinegars, some seasonings, Saran, aluminum paper, Sandwich bags. I would have liked to have known this before leaving home. *close to good super markets....Times and Safeway. Walking distance to Times supermarket. *walking distance to Crafts Fair for farmers Market items. Caution....I think the same pineapples and papaya were cheaper at the Times supermarket. Don't be tempted by roadside stalls selling fruit. I paid $10.00 for a pineapple and it was less than $5.00 in supermarket. *great managers...Sue and John...helpful and friendly *the nightly cost was reasonable for off season *wished there were a recycling bin at condo *was uncomfortable with homeless people on beach in front of condo mainly because of their trash and urine smell *loved the birds especially the lovebirds on the north lava walls!, the cardinals, and others. *snorkeling at Molekini crater was good experience but saw just as many fish in shallower waters at Makena Beach and Turtle Town beach. Also turtles. *turtles come ashore soon after sunset so no need to look in vain for them while swimming in front of condo. Just look at the beach north and south after sunset! *a local warned me not to swim off point at south end of beach because of sharks ie to stay in area in front of condo. *the newly refinished swimming pool was fabulous. *for a treat we tried Mamas Fish House.....outrageously expensive but one of the best meals I have ever had. Service at Bubba Gumps was not good and food just ok. Too noisy. Highly recommend the Old Lahaina Luau....worth the cost of $110.00 each"
