  • Loved the sunsets and convenience to the beach

"Spent 4 days at this location and enjoyed it very much. Overall a positive experience and we would stay here again. My wife loved it and I thought it was good. Pros: * Loved the location - right on the beach and with access to a huge lawn area * Beautiful sunsets * Good but not excellent beach (some coral and rocks and some protection from open ocean) * Convenient and only 1 or 2 miles away from grocery stores, restaurants, and souvenir shops * Easy drive to airport Cons: * Condo building is a little old and this condo is on 4th floor * Air conditioner loud * AC doesn't reach the bedroom which got a little warm at time in the afternoons. Didn't want to open window in bedroom because the window opens into the condo walkway and would provide little privacy. * Laundry is a public laundry room that is downstairs and not in the unit which I didn't understand from the description. Overall, a good experience."

  • Good location, great view and value for the money

"Great place with everything you need and a great ocean view. Nothing that I could really complain about. Some nights you have to keep the windows open to keep the bedrooms cool as the AC unit only really cools the living area and kitchen but we never felt we needed the AC. Great place to watch the sun set."

  • great view and close to nice strip of beach!

"we stayed here 8 nights, myself and 2 daughters 8 and 9. it was a nice change from our usual hotel situation. we did need to wash towels once while there but other than that we had enough of everything. there was one boogie board and we purchased another which we left with another guest visiting with kids when we left. the patio faces the ocean and sunset just as described and a small strip of beach for walking and kids to play in sand/water. advise water shoes as alot of small rocks in water here but still nice and wish we had more time so we could have spent more time at the condo vs. running around the island. parking was a bit tight so dont get a huge rental vehicle. the master bed was a bit firm for me but i do have a bad lower back. the kids had a single bed each vs. having to share one and a shower rod was in shower to hang wet bathing suits from so that was nice. a longs drug and mcdonalds and panda express right up the street. we did the molokini snorkel tour with the pacific whale foundation -highly recommend., also did the maui gold pineapple plantation tour, tried to do road to hana which i know is excellent but almost at top and was told a mud slide with no eta so had to turn around and go back down. :( i would definetely do home away again and stay at dons condo again and if you have a late flight out check with AA condo if you can get a late checkout--i found out about this later but a great idea for those with later flights. we hit the walmart near the airport for groceries before ever going to the condo to stock up. only negative was at the pool when another guest or renter or owner rudely told my girls if they wanted to splash then their was an ocean for that while he was frying himself in the sun to which he could have easily moved his lawn chair to the grass outside the pool if he wasnt planning on swimming b/c what are pools for and swimming does require some splashing --believe he was on the 2nd floor on the same side as our condo but that was luckily our last day there or i would have had words......thanks much for letting us use your nice place with beautiful views and close to ocean!"

"We stayed at Leinaala #101 for 7 wonderful days. It was just perfect for my sister-in-law and me. She had the bedroom and I slept on the sofa bed, which was surprisingly comfortable. The living room was roomy and nicely decorated and the dinette seats four. The kitchen was fully equipped and served us well. The dishes are very nice and enough for six people. Everything you need is there. The only thing missing was a crockpot, but we managed well without one. There are many items in the condo to use for the beach like umbrella, beach chairs, cooler, beach towels, snorkel gear, etc. The complex was clean and quiet and the managers are very nice. And the pool was sparkling clean. We really liked the assigned parking.... no problem finding a space. More places should do this. There are lots of places quite near to eat and shop. Our favorites were Coconuts, Nalu,'s, Fork and Salad and Maui Pie Co. Kahului, where the airport is, is only a 20 minute drive. There is a mall, Walmart K Mart and Sears there plus lots of nice restaurants. LaHaina is about 40 minutes and a beautiful drive. We highly recommend the Road to Hana tour with Valley Isle and Burnin' Love (fantastic Elvis impersonator). Kay Gardner, the owner, is helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Thank you for sharing your Maui home with us. We hope to get back to Maui again and wouldn't want to stay anywhere else."
