  • Royal Mauian is beautiful!!

"Loved being on the ground floor!!! Perfect, convenient location, and close to everything you need or want. Some great food and drinks, and cute shops all within a very short walk. The beautiful beaches are just steps away and you can't get better front row seats to watch the turtles every day and gorgeous Maui sunsets every night!!!! Let's not forget the shark that bumped my daughter's paddle board also!! Yes, they got it on the Go Pro and shared with the lifeguards at Kamaole I. Great guys!! Lots of shark activity in the water this week, but it's their home!! YIKES!! The only thing missing in the unit was AC. We could have definitely used it, as it was quite warm. The fans were just not enough for this trip. I didn't read the condo description close enough and didn't realize there wasn't an AC unit until right before we bad....I just assumed there was one since it was renovated in the last couple years. It's a really nice unit, but has some features that I won't miss. 1) The beds are very hard/firm mattresses. I was ready to go to Costco and buy a memory foam pad. 2) The bathrooms are very nice, but I am not a fan of the half panel shower door. Had to wipe up the floor every time we took showers because there isn't anything to block the water from splashing out....not a lot of water, but enough to where you need to wipe it up. Need to supply more bath mats for this reason. 3) Rugs in kitchen / entry looked very dirty / worn. I think it may be time to replace. Still a very beautiful unit and nicer than others we were able to take a peak at. Would highly recommend Royal Mauian!! It is beautiful!! Mahalo!! Aloha!!"

  • Perfect condo on the beach!

"Royal Mauian 310 is a beautiful condo, very well appointed with nice furnishings and everything you need in the kitchen for cooking in. And it has AC which is especially welcome when the there is no breeze from the trades. We have stayed in many units at the complex and this one is our favorite. You can tell the owners Paul and Sandy take pride in how it is maintained and they welcome you into their home."

  • Priceless

"We have been to Maui numerous times and have stayed in many different vrbo's and often walked by this property and wondered what it would be like. The next visit we stayed in this unit and fell in love . The views are so stunning we never wanted to leave the lanai I !! It is our home away from home we have stayed twice and know we never have to look for any other properties !! You have everything at your finger tips !!"

  • Rough start but no complaints

"The most important information you need to know is that the owner is very good to work with. There were some issues we found on arrival and they were dealt with immediately and we were grateful. We spoke with the owner who lives on the mainland. He relies on his contacts in Maui, and that can cause some issues for him at times. He does his best tho, and we were satisfied in the end. This resort is one of the oldest in Kihei and it can show it in the units. This unit has no direct view of the water, but a sideways look off the lanai gives you a nice glance. The water sounds and breeze at night are perfect, and no one has direct view into this unit for nice privacy. The stairs right outside the door are so convenient, but the elevator is not a far walk either. Having a washer and dryer in the unit is helpful. Beach towels, linens, a full (but small) kitchen make living easy. We also used the boogie boards, beach chairs and umbrella. While the unit is small (850 sf) it is laid out well and having windows on 3 sides make for a comfortable stay. There is no A/C but none is needed with the ceiling fans running. A TV in each bedroom and the living room let everyone have what they want. The location is so convenient, and while you will hear traffic and people throughout the day, the noise is gone by 10:00pm and only the birds will wake you in the morning. Parking is easy, the location perfect for every direction and the access to the water and snorkeling right outside your door. Grab a glass of wine, and pull up a lawn chair to watch the turtles feed every late afternoon while the sunset relaxes you completely. We enjoyed our first stay in Kihei, and are grateful for the easy communication with the owner. But, remember this is not a hotel. You will not get cleaning service during your stay, and the main office is closed after 4:00 pm and all weekend. If you need help you must contact the emergency number, which didn't initially answer when we called. You will get only basic paper goods, but once you run out you buy your own. Bring your own shampoo/conditioner/soap because you only get one tiny bottle of each. One use and you need to get your own. This unit is not handicap (wheelchair) accessible due to at least 2 steps in any direction to the front door. But there is a lift in the pool and walkers and cane users are not going to have trouble. Thank you Dennis for your hospitality. We enjoyed our stay."
