  • Great Location - Outstanding Property Owner - Definately A Pleasing Place to Stay

"I can't say enough good things about staying at this property. Having used VRBO and AirBNB for a number of stays, I can tell you that having a good location and a responsive and cordial owner can make or break any vacation. Ligia has gone above and beyond to make every accommodation possible for us to enjoy our stay. This property is older than I anticipated but it is very clean and generally well maintained. If there were any problems or questions, they were immediately addressed with promptness and cordially. By use of a lockbox we had total privacy and convenience. Anything that we needed magically appeared by the time we returned to the condo. The property is right on Kihei Blvd and across the street from the ocean and a park with endless walking trails. The view looks over the surf shop and side street below but keep your head up and you'll enjoy a memorable view that you'll want to take home. We also enjoyed the location for convenience. There are coffee shops and restaurants galore and we enjoyed all of them. Happy Hours are great. Our favorite was the sushi restaurant in the Foodland Mall. It only lasts 30 minutes but if you are seated right away you can have an amazing meal for a very reasonable price. And the taco truck next door has great tacos for $2-4. We ate in a lot too and Ligia has a kitchen stocked with quality cooking pans and utensils. For outdoor enjoyment she provides beach chairs and equipment for an ocean swim which is right out your door. We rented good snorkel equipment from Snorkel Bob's and walked to very good snorkeling at both Kamalea I and III beaches. We saw many kinds of fish and swam with two different sea turtles! At the end of the day, we enjoyed a good shower with an adjustable nozzle that accommodates my 6'4" husband and allows me to lower it so I don't have to get my head wet. And finally we sunk into a king size VERY comfortable bed. There are newer properties in the area but they are much more expensive and I can't believe any owner on the island can be more accommodating than Ligia. This condo has excellent value because of the wonderful location and the superior customer service. We had a wonderful vacation here."

  • Beautiful updated condo!

"First time staying in South Maui and this condo and the ease of working with the owners will bring us back! Not only does it have everything you could need or want, it's updated, clean, inviting, comfortable, and the walls display the owner's gallery quality personal island paintings. The layout is perfect, with comfortable king bed and two bathrooms, which actually came in very handy even though there was just two of us. Very easy access to the beach and ocean just a short stroll away, where we swam with the turtles. There are many restaurants within walking distance and others within a short drive. Our favorites are 808 bistro for breakfast, 808 deli for sandwiches, Maui Tacos, Three's for happy hour, and Gannon's. We were here for a wedding and it was extremely warm on a few days, so we were very grateful for the two air conditioners this condo offers, one in the bedroom and living room. Other people in our group were not so lucky. Their condos either had just one in the living room or none. They were very uncomfortable on those days. Something to consider when choosing a condo around here. We truly enjoyed our stay here and won't consider staying anywhere else when we come back to the south side of the island. It's definitely a home away from home."

  • Still dreaming of Kamaole One!

"I'm the kind of traveler that spends an inordinate amount of time planning vacation accommodations. Why? Because vacation travel, for us (family of 4 with 2 young children) is a rarity and indescribably precious! So, I researched literally hundreds of options for weeks. What drew me here? a. Proximity to beach, b. Direct view of beach, c. Somewhat quiet stretch of beach. We had options for resort type properties that were far more furnished, contemporary or "luxurious" - but we opted for this vibe. We couldn't have been more pleased with our decision. This unit at Kamaole One lived up to every expectation. It offered incredible views - not just from the lanai, but also the living room and upstairs bedroom (what a scene to wake up to!). While the upstairs units required going around a fenced side area to get to the beach (versus the downstairs units which had a straight shot there), it also featured the extra set of upper level windows that were amazing. It was homey, yet not Hawaiian cheesy (ok, some parts were - e.g. the fish artwork, but we dug it :), comfortable, convenient, spacious (for a family of 4), accessible and along just the most divine stretch of quiet beach. Soft sand, warm clear waters, and never too crowded - despite being much more so a few blocks or miles down the road. And, despite the healthy price (for our standards, anyway) - we saved a ton of money being able to comfortably cook every night and enjoy our meal with 5-star restaurant views and the comforts of home. Didn't interact much with Sharon, but didn't need to. Everything was set-up so nicely! Pro Tips 1. Go to Costco immediately upon landing (pro tip for anywhere you're stay in Maui) 2. Check out the goods in the (very well furnished) condo BEFORE shopping for random extras (e.g. condiments, seasonings, utensils, etc) - we bought (and eventually donated) - so many items that were already there... soap (bath wash in each shower), sugar (well stocked collection of packets), hot sauce (there was some!), beach toys, etc. 3. Bring snorkel gear. Depending how deep you went in the water would depend on the volume you'd see - but wife and I saw a HUGE sea turtle and enormous exotic fish a mere 15 feet from shore with almost zero effort. 4. Check out the grass area by Kamaole Beach Park III for one sunset during your stay. Yes, the sunset from the condo is epic - but sharing the experience with dozens of others pulling up beach chairs was a fantastically bonding experience."

  • Great location

"Robins condo is a block from the beach and bus stop. The condo is large, with great amenities. She has everything in it you would ever need. Boy does that make a big difference. It was nice that spices and oil was left behind to use. There wasn't a thing you had to look for, even tons of books to read, music to listen to and a view that was amazing. Even having a little problem with the bath tub was fixed immediately by her great fix it guy! Highly recommend this condo. Thank you robin"
