  • Two Wonderful Vacations

"We have had the pleasure of staying in Carole & Lothar's condo on two occasions, first for three weeks in April 2014 and the second for a month in April 2015. This was our first experience going on vacation without our RV or staying in a resort, and to be quite frank, we were apprehensive. Our initial contacts with Carole quickly alleviated any concerns we had, and once we saw the property, we knew we had made the right choice. Kihei Kai Nani is well situated to enjoy everything Maui has to offer. The gorgeous views of Haleakala, the pristine Kamaole Beach, central to venture out to Wailea, Lahaina, Kahului, easy access to the Road to Hana, and many more activities make this a perfect location. The condo itself is cozy and very comfortable. Carole and Lothar have certainly equipped their home with all the necessities to make staying here feel like being at home. Extras including accessories for spending the day at the beach such as beach chairs, coolers and an umbrella ensure you will enjoy activities without buying stuff you can't or don't want to carry on the plane!!! And while we wouldn't recommend planning for rain days (think we saw about 10 drops on 1 day out of the two trips), there's a new smart TV, books and games to occupy anyone. In summary, we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly both times in Maui. Staying in Carole and Lothar's condo made us immediately feel at home and free to lay back and be ourselves. If the Canadian dollar had been a little less beaten by the U.S. greenback, I'm sure we would have been back again in 2016!!!! The only downside is both our trips have coincided with Carole and Lothar being away on trips of their own, and we have yet to actually meet them face to face, something we sincerely look forward to!!! • Good place to stay in Maui (Kihei)

"This was our first Hawaiian vacation. We have teenagers ages 15 and 18 years old. The condo was exactly as describe and it’s stocked with EVERYTHING you need, a lots of towels, beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, even boogie boards. The beach is just across the street. If we stay in Maui again, we will definitely come back. Honestly, from the moment that I sent an inquiry, I got a super fast response, Karen is a pleasure to deal with, she answers very quickly and she’s very helpful, she answered ALL my questions and more ! The condo is very perfect for a couple or family with children. I am very pleased with this unit and the owners. Thank you Karen to share your condo with my family. The memories will be unforgettable!!!"

  • Still dreaming of Kamaole One!

"I'm the kind of traveler that spends an inordinate amount of time planning vacation accommodations. Why? Because vacation travel, for us (family of 4 with 2 young children) is a rarity and indescribably precious! So, I researched literally hundreds of options for weeks. What drew me here? a. Proximity to beach, b. Direct view of beach, c. Somewhat quiet stretch of beach. We had options for resort type properties that were far more furnished, contemporary or "luxurious" - but we opted for this vibe. We couldn't have been more pleased with our decision. This unit at Kamaole One lived up to every expectation. It offered incredible views - not just from the lanai, but also the living room and upstairs bedroom (what a scene to wake up to!). While the upstairs units required going around a fenced side area to get to the beach (versus the downstairs units which had a straight shot there), it also featured the extra set of upper level windows that were amazing. It was homey, yet not Hawaiian cheesy (ok, some parts were - e.g. the fish artwork, but we dug it :), comfortable, convenient, spacious (for a family of 4), accessible and along just the most divine stretch of quiet beach. Soft sand, warm clear waters, and never too crowded - despite being much more so a few blocks or miles down the road. And, despite the healthy price (for our standards, anyway) - we saved a ton of money being able to comfortably cook every night and enjoy our meal with 5-star restaurant views and the comforts of home. Didn't interact much with Sharon, but didn't need to. Everything was set-up so nicely! Pro Tips 1. Go to Costco immediately upon landing (pro tip for anywhere you're stay in Maui) 2. Check out the goods in the (very well furnished) condo BEFORE shopping for random extras (e.g. condiments, seasonings, utensils, etc) - we bought (and eventually donated) - so many items that were already there... soap (bath wash in each shower), sugar (well stocked collection of packets), hot sauce (there was some!), beach toys, etc. 3. Bring snorkel gear. Depending how deep you went in the water would depend on the volume you'd see - but wife and I saw a HUGE sea turtle and enormous exotic fish a mere 15 feet from shore with almost zero effort. 4. Check out the grass area by Kamaole Beach Park III for one sunset during your stay. Yes, the sunset from the condo is epic - but sharing the experience with dozens of others pulling up beach chairs was a fantastically bonding experience."

  • Beautiful View, functional kitchen, comfy beds!

"So I booked this after reading the other reviews online, and man were they right! Beautiful view from the windows, we loved having breakfast on the little deck and watching the water. The room was spacious and comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked with basics and the owner was on sight and very accommodating to our arrivals and departures. It has an assigned parking spot which was excellent and very convenient. Close to yummy places to eat too ( we loved Da Kitchen's Kalua pork and the Lei Cafe!) not even a block away! It was a wonderful trip and we would absolutely stay there again! The only downsides were the air conditioning is only in the main room so the bed room can get pretty hot, but that was manageable and the sofa bed was very comfy so if we got too hot we just slept in the living room and it was fine. The other thing is that the bedroom has windows that close to the weather, but do nothing to block the sound in the halls so you could certainly hear people walking by and they could probably also hear whatever you were doing in the bedroom..... BUT overall wonderful place to stay in Beautiful Kehei! Aloha!"
