  • Awesome Place

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo is very well-maintained. We actually booked F-201 upstairs as well for our family of 12. The finishes (countertops, faucets, appliances, hardware, decorations, linens, etc.) are nice and clean. There was ample room for 6 people. Everything worked great. There are 3 separate doors to the outside, which really sort of made it feel like we booked 2 separate rooms. The patio has a nice view of the courtyard, which is very well kept. The master does not have a window unit, but it really didn’t cause a problem - the temperature was fine despite the fact that it was in the upper 80s during the days. There is a pool (have to call for the gate code) with a hot tub, grills, and lots of seating. This property is right across the street from the very fun Kamaole Beach Park II (the condo provides pool toys/chairs/beach towels/etc. in the closets). My family and I had lots of fun there. There are plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance (it’s kind of like a primitive, more-scenic Waikiki). It was very hard to find a parking spot near the property (we had 3 cars), but there is parking garage close by, so no big deal. The property management company (Maui Condo and Car) is very well-run, very responsive, and very detailed. I called about a month prior to request a late checkout (on the downstairs unit only), and they were very prompt and responsive. And it was a reasonable price as well. I also called them when we got there to ask about the lack of a window unit. They were very responsive and professional when they reminded me they had told me that a year earlier when I booked (which they had - I had forgotten). Overall, this is an excellent value in a prime location."

  • Lovely condo Well Equipped

"We were very happy with the condo upon arrival, the unit was clean and inviting, and nicely decorated( Art work by Louise, was refreshing and complimentary). The spare bedroom closet had a ton of stuff for the beach, great chairs and the best umbrella we've ever had! also noticed pails and shovels for children. The kitchen was very well equipped. Rice Steamer and blender that does work even with a little coaxing. All appliance are in good state, lots of pots and pans, plates and cutlery. We cook a lot. My in-laws used the master suite and were very comfortable with the bed and walk in shower. My husband and I slept in the twins, they were fine too. The view from the balcony is beautiful even being on the outside unit. it looks onto a very well maintained garden and pool area, being off the ground level was also very appealing to us.(seasoned Hawaii people) Out of the three families that stayed in Hawaii, during the same period, ours was definitely the best unit of the three. Due to our two week stay we maintained the cleaning, there is a mop and pail and a good vacuum. WE have never stayed in the D building, the hill down to the beach is good, but the walk up is vey rewarding as you know you've worked your gluten. Kam II is one of our favourite beaches in Hawaii and the area around it is very walkable there is a amazing cinnamon bun and coffee shop, and shopping and restaurants are just blocks away. This is why we love Kihei Akahi, we've stayed this complex for many many years, Security is tight, quiet time, at night are strictly enforced, not so much in the am.We would definitely recommend this unit for a family, as it suited us very well."

  • Another amazing stay in 606!

"This was our second trip to Maui and we chose to bring our two teen daughters this time. They were comfortable on the new pull-out couch. If you are considering a trip to Maui I promise you will not be disappointed with this condo and beach. We've visited almost every beach on Maui now and this is still my favorite. It's just a great all-around beach. You can boogie board, paddle board, snorkel, or just read a book while relaxing under a tree. I saw quite a few sea turtles and we saw whales this time! Imagine sitting on your lanai and seeing a whale. It's amazing! There are also amenities right across the street. We discovered Da Kitchen this time which was great. We also love 808 Deli. The condo itself has everything you'd need. I appreciate that there are chairs, boogie boards, and umbrellas in the condo. I can't imagine having to rent those. The condo is always clean and well stocked with kitchen supplies. August sent us a flower arrangement this time which was very beautiful. I like Kihei because it's more relaxed and less busy than Lahaina. We usually go to Lahaina for the day and are always happy to get back to Kihei. We did do the Old Lahaina Luau which we really liked and our teen daughters thought was fun. Did I mention the sunsets? :) I might suggest that you get one more blanket for the pull-out couch because we had one night where it was a little chilly and the blanket was pretty small. But seriously you will not be disappointed if you stay here. Thanks again August. I have a feeling we'll be back...again."
