  • Location and Amenities Awesome!

"This condo was perfect for our vacation needs. It was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need - beach chairs with handy carry strap, coolers, boogie boards, laundry and dish detergent, and a smattering of cooking spices. The kitchen was very well stocked, and helped for a budget friendly stay (and also when we were tired of eating out!). The location was our favorite on the island, and we stayed in Hana, Kaanapail and Napili also on this trip. My 11 year old son rated this place the highest over our fancy hotel in Kaanapali, because he said there was so much variety of things to do here. He liked the park across the way, the beach across the way for boogie boarding, and being able to walk to so many things. Kihei is great because it's centrally located, and you can get to everywhere from here. The beach out front was perfect for trying out paddle boarding and for surf lessons. Roll out of bed and walk on over! We have not been in Kihei for a while and were surprised to see all of the new restaurants (plus old favorites). There are a ton of inexpensive (for Hawaii) options nearby that were really good and did not break the budget. This is a wonderful place to stay if you want to get away from all of the artificial "Hawaii" in Kaanapali and enjoy the real thing."

  • Great Location

"Very clean condo with all the comforts of home. Conveniently located near the airport, nice beaches, restaurants and shopping. When the wind comes up in the late morning/early afternoon at the beach, the pool area(s) are a great place to retreat."

  • Great condo, great owner, excellent location!

"We had a wonderful stay at Klassy Kalama. The property is clean. It is close to everything in Kihei. Jerry and Meredith were very welcoming, responsive and patience with all of my queries. The booking process from start to finish was a breeze and we were provided with clear instructions and directions. The condo has everything you need. We have travelled to other Hawaiian islands and always stayed at places that have full kitchen because we loved getting local produce and seafood from the local markets to fix our meal. So, the first thing that I did was checked out the kitchen. I must say Klassy Kalama's kitchen is exceptional! The kitchen appliances works great, the utensils and dishes were clean. There were various sizes of pots and non stick pans, as well as various kinds of knives. All were good quality. The cabinets were well stocked with all kinds of condiments, herbs and spices, etc, and everything was well organized. And...I'm a fan of glass cookware :) As soon as I saw them in the kitchen cabinets, I was ecstatic! I knew then that I would enjoy cooking in this kitchen, just like at home! The condo also has everything you need for beach day. We used the beach chairs, beach mats, umbrella, cooler, beach towels, snorkel sets and boogie boards. We really like Kihei. In my opinion it has more of a campy beach town feel to it compared to West Maui and you are around MANY more locals, which is perfect for us! Great location as starting point to drive around the island. We spent a lot of time on the beach and definitely appreciate that this condo is walking distance to many beautiful beaches in South Maui. Our favorites are Charley Young and Keawakapu Beach. They are family friendly beaches. Sunsets are beautiful at any of these beaches. Charley Young is 5 mins walk from the condo and is a turtle highway!! Some of them swam right up to us when we were swimming. The waves were great for boogie boarding. Our son said, "I hope Jerry will keep this boogie board forever so that it will always be here when we come back!" The complex is well maintained. They were installing a gazebo in the BBQ area the day we left. Jerry and Meredith were easily contacted when we were at the condo and readily to assist. We certainly appreciate their professionalism. From the Haleakala's peak to underwater Molokini -- MAHALO, Jerry and Meredith! Klassy Kalama was our home away from home. We hope you are able to receive us again soon! Maybe Molokai next :)"

  • Great Stay, Excellent Host

"Kihei Akahi unit C618 - October 2016 We are back in Canada after having a great stay in Maui. We really appreciated the nice touches found around the unit – the reno’d bath and kitchen, great art work everywhere, comfortable furniture, great king bed, even the pineapple desk lamps were a nice touch. Location is great being in the middle of Kihei, walking distance to most things. Everything is in the unit that you might need for a stay - beach umbrella, towels and chairs, snorkel gear, boogie boards, and a raft of other items. We had an issue with a loud A/C unit. As soon as we mentioned it to Kathy, it was replaced the following day! That's great service. Being up on the 6th floor (yes, there is an elevator), there was usually a breeze that was able to keep the unit pleasant. In the summer, the A/C probably wouldn't be able to keep the unit and especially the bedroom from being quite warm. For us in October, it was pleasant to warm. There are extra fans that can be used to keep cooler. Wifi, was limited in the unit, however this was also fixed fast when we were supplied with another router to connect to. Kathy is obviously a great host and kept us happy. Communication was great and she even allowed us to check out late at no charge."
