"Stayed 6 days/5 nights at this location (after 6 nights/7 days in Ko'Olina, Oahu) - nice upstairs location that is quiet, near beach, restaurants/grocery & golf. The property itself was clean & well maintained. The bed was comfortable (it would have been nice to have air conditioning in the bedroom- although there is a ceiling fan & a stand fan). Oh & the bathroom was hot too. Nice to have a washer & dryer available in the unit. Instructions from the owners about check-in etc were thorough. Overall the place was great, nothing fancy but for the price I would definitely recommend it to friends/relatives & would also consider staying there again.
A few little things - it would have been nice to have a couple of boogie boards for use (we actually bought a small one & left it there) but other then that there was nothing that I could think of that wasn't provided. The sprinklers did turn on outside every morning around 3:30a?! & someone somewhere nearby was smoking a cigarette in the evenings because the smell would permeate into the apartment. We did not use the pool at all.
We did quite a lot in the short time we were there (not my first time in Maui - but it was my boyfriends)... We Loved 808 Deli right next door (the sandwiches & the banana pudding), Da Kitchen (large portions), Eskimo candy (poke bowl & seafood chowder), Ululani's shave ice, Local Boys shave ice, Wowwow Lemonade, Zippys, Tasaka GuriGuri & watching the sunsets across the street at the beach (along with tons of other people). We also ate at Star Noodle, Merriman's & the Gazebo (can you tell we like to eat?). Missed Sansei & Miso Phat Sushi though (next time). Visited various different towns all over the island - Lahaina, Wailea, Kapalua, Kahului and of course drove the road to Hana & the Seven Sacred Pools & did the hike to Waimoku Falls. We also drove to the top of Haleakala to see the sunrise, but unfortunately it was too foggy to see a thing, not even the crater that morning! I think the sunsets are just as great though & we probably should have done that instead of getting up at 3a... Lets see, we also visited the Iao Needle & my boyfriend played golf at Maui Nui and Waiehu Golf Courses. We did agree though that our favorite thing was the Nakalele Blowhole & heart rock. A must see! (check for high tide before you go). I would also recommend Maui Specialty Chocolates - the chocolate truffle & chocolate peanut butter mochi - YUM!
Mahalo & Aloha!
