  • Awesome Place

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo is very well-maintained. We actually booked F-201 upstairs as well for our family of 12. The finishes (countertops, faucets, appliances, hardware, decorations, linens, etc.) are nice and clean. There was ample room for 6 people. Everything worked great. There are 3 separate doors to the outside, which really sort of made it feel like we booked 2 separate rooms. The patio has a nice view of the courtyard, which is very well kept. The master does not have a window unit, but it really didn’t cause a problem - the temperature was fine despite the fact that it was in the upper 80s during the days. There is a pool (have to call for the gate code) with a hot tub, grills, and lots of seating. This property is right across the street from the very fun Kamaole Beach Park II (the condo provides pool toys/chairs/beach towels/etc. in the closets). My family and I had lots of fun there. There are plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance (it’s kind of like a primitive, more-scenic Waikiki). It was very hard to find a parking spot near the property (we had 3 cars), but there is parking garage close by, so no big deal. The property management company (Maui Condo and Car) is very well-run, very responsive, and very detailed. I called about a month prior to request a late checkout (on the downstairs unit only), and they were very prompt and responsive. And it was a reasonable price as well. I also called them when we got there to ask about the lack of a window unit. They were very responsive and professional when they reminded me they had told me that a year earlier when I booked (which they had - I had forgotten). Overall, this is an excellent value in a prime location."

  • Rough start but no complaints

"The most important information you need to know is that the owner is very good to work with. There were some issues we found on arrival and they were dealt with immediately and we were grateful. We spoke with the owner who lives on the mainland. He relies on his contacts in Maui, and that can cause some issues for him at times. He does his best tho, and we were satisfied in the end. This resort is one of the oldest in Kihei and it can show it in the units. This unit has no direct view of the water, but a sideways look off the lanai gives you a nice glance. The water sounds and breeze at night are perfect, and no one has direct view into this unit for nice privacy. The stairs right outside the door are so convenient, but the elevator is not a far walk either. Having a washer and dryer in the unit is helpful. Beach towels, linens, a full (but small) kitchen make living easy. We also used the boogie boards, beach chairs and umbrella. While the unit is small (850 sf) it is laid out well and having windows on 3 sides make for a comfortable stay. There is no A/C but none is needed with the ceiling fans running. A TV in each bedroom and the living room let everyone have what they want. The location is so convenient, and while you will hear traffic and people throughout the day, the noise is gone by 10:00pm and only the birds will wake you in the morning. Parking is easy, the location perfect for every direction and the access to the water and snorkeling right outside your door. Grab a glass of wine, and pull up a lawn chair to watch the turtles feed every late afternoon while the sunset relaxes you completely. We enjoyed our first stay in Kihei, and are grateful for the easy communication with the owner. But, remember this is not a hotel. You will not get cleaning service during your stay, and the main office is closed after 4:00 pm and all weekend. If you need help you must contact the emergency number, which didn't initially answer when we called. You will get only basic paper goods, but once you run out you buy your own. Bring your own shampoo/conditioner/soap because you only get one tiny bottle of each. One use and you need to get your own. This unit is not handicap (wheelchair) accessible due to at least 2 steps in any direction to the front door. But there is a lift in the pool and walkers and cane users are not going to have trouble. Thank you Dennis for your hospitality. We enjoyed our stay."

  • Great Property - Great Location - Great Hospitality

"From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, everything was perfect. We felt right at home and we enjoyed the entire week spent living in this beautiful and well-appointed 1 BR condo. We would go back to this property again in the future. Thanks for helping to make our vacation so comfortable."

  • Great Stay in Maui

"When they say location, they mean it. This condo is perfectly placed to have a wonderful vacation. The condo was everything they said it was. Very spacious and provided anything we needed to prepare meals, drinks and supplies for the beach. Both Rod and Brad were very nice and easy to communicate with. We did have a cleaning issue, however once we notified the owners, they promptly responded and also refunded our cleaning fee. That was much appreciated. The pool was great, very clean and sunny and it was right outside the unit. The property was quiet and clean. The beach was right across the street and the sunsets were amazing. It is a bit of a walk to get to the unit from either parking area, it was hard sometimes for my older relatives...however nothing to complain about. Great place to stay!"
