  • Spent a wonderful week here

"Nice condo, clean. In a great location. Well stocked. Property is nicely maintained. 3 minute walk to Charlie Young Beach. Little patio with lush surrounding. Would definitely recommend this property"

  • Very nice

"Over the years we have stayed at many of the nearby condos to this one in Maui. Generally we have liked them all. The location is very convenient. We typically stay in the area 2-4 weeks in the year. Here are some positives and negatives: Positive: - Deb the owner is very nice and very responsive even though she is miles away. She was truly a pleasure to deal with. She helped make every step as simple as possible and had really thought of everything (thank you Deb) -there are instructions/ rules for many things so if you read it you can find all sorts of things in the condo. -there was more supplies in the house than I thought. Other than buying some paper towels and few other items we didn't have to buy much else. - it was very kind of the owner to let us us all the different supplies - new washer and dryer Negatives: - wifi had very weak to no signal in the bedroom. That is due to the fact that the modem is a single band modem located on the other side of the house with the walls all being made of concrete . -this was both a positive and negative. There was many instructions/ rules. Most of them were common sense items. -AC: there is only one in the condo and it is all the way on the other side of the condo and has little to no effect on the bedroom temperature. I did notice multiple other people's review mentioning this as an issue and had dismissed it. But it is is true. There are many fans in the house but if you want to cool down in a hot day after being active that doesn't help. The other thing that I had not seen in any other condos was that the ac was forced by the owner to run on timer. I realize that the cost of electricity is high and some people may just turn ac on the entire time they are there. And the timer would control the electricity cost. As a example I wanted the ac to run overnight while we are sleeping to cool down. But the timer wouldn't allow you to run it over the 8 hr that you were sleeping. If you come from west coast or other warm climates this will not probably be an issue for you. But if you come from east coast of US or Canada in the winter time you are going to find it to be warm. We will certainly try to book this location in our future travels to the island. Thanks Ali"

  • Beautiful spot on Sugar Beach

"We stayed here the first week of Jan. 2017. Considered a holiday week, I was concerned it would be crowded. We were pleasantly surprised to see this was not the case, I'm sure the condos were full but the beach was not. We love Sugar Beach for swimming with little kids, it's fairly calm with no rocks or coral. The condo is well equipped, in fact we asked for beach chairs and they were delivered before we arrived. We brought our grand-kids; Michael provided an awesome stroller, high chair and portacrib and beach toys. Everything you need is there or can be provided. There is even a hair dryer in the bathroom. The only reason I did not give 5 stars, is that I reserve that for beach front. This condo has a beach view, but it is in the rear of the complex. It's clean, the beds are comfortable, the walk in shower is awesome. The A/C is great, we tried it one day and then realized we didn’t need it, the condo stays very cool (our temps were 78-80 degrees during our stay). It's within walking distance to a wonderful little bakery, Sugar Beach Bake Shop (get the fresh made malasadas), Ululani's Save Ice, and an outdoor market. Michael was wonderful with my many questions and needs. We will definitely stay again."

  • A perfect family condo, well located

"We stayed there X-Mas 2016, for vacation and our wedding. We really got more than we had hoped for here. The welcome kit was really nice -- even more so considering our late arrival, which meant our first morning was off to a great start (not having to worry about coffee & some food). The pool is very nice, and perfect for kids (& adults). There is a beach walking distance across the street, but our favorite (big beach, for bigger, but still relatively safe waves for boogie boarding... which well so awesome, you can also borrow form the owner!) was a 15 minute drive, which was also great. The apartment roomy & extremely comfortable more than ample for the 3 of us, I'd say fits very well 6 people. I don't even think we turned the AC on once (but we're from Canada, and we really wanted heat!). Like any home has from time to time, we did have some minor incident. Being over Christmas, it really was bad timing! Yet the owner was *super* responsive, and really go beyond to attempt to resolve what really was a unresolvable situation! That surpassed all our expectations. Obviously the owners do care about their guests. We would *most* definitively stay there again. Thanks to our great hosts."
