  • Wonderful Spot

"I just stayed here with my family and had a wonderful time. The location is great - just off S Kihei Rd and so close to the highway but far enough that you don't hear the road noise. The condo complex is very quiet and very pretty with lots of trees and greenery. The condo unit itself is very well stocked with all the equipment you would need for cooking or drinking and the A/Cs worked really well. The upstairs bed was really comfortable and the downstairs bathroom is quite spacious. The downstairs beds, however, were not nearly as nice and the upstairs bathroom is outdated. Though these things could have been better, they were still functional and the rest of the place is nice enough to outweigh the negatives. The drains needed to be snaked but I was not able to get a response to that request during my stay. I recommend confirming that they have been cleaned before you book. Some things to keep in mind, the downstairs twin bedroom gets warm as it does not have its own A/C unit, and the A/C exhaust pours hot air onto the lanai so you can't have both at the same time. It was a bit of a hassle to wash towels and sheets before departure but if you can plan accordingly this place was really great and I wish I could've stayed longer. Before checkout, you'll be asked to wash the towels and sheets (though no folding). This is a hassle, but if you can plan for it the condo is really great. I wish I could've stayed longer."

  • Best Condo we have ever rented, don't pass this one up!!!

"This was our 4th trip to Hawaii, we travel with family to sunny locations for 3-4 weeks every February to get away from our cold, rainy Oregon weather. We believe this is the quietest and least crowded condo we have ever rented in Hawaii and truest to the owner's description. Corresponding with Eric and Elizabeth was easy and they were most accommodating to our family. We arrived to a "welcome" basket of snacks, candy and a beautiful Hawaiian calendar. They provide a huge album of all the island has to offer, maps/directions, dozens of menu's to the best places to eat by restaurant types and menu prices, many, many brochures for the most popular, economical rentals and excursions the island has to offer. The condo is exactly like the pictures and beautifully decorated! We were surprised to only use the air conditioning a couple of times in the 3 weeks we were there because the windows are well placed and the breezy trade winds that came through. The condo complex was quiet with very friendly and polite "snowbird" neighbors. Eric and Elizabeth provided us with everything we needed to "play" on the island. There are several sets of snorkeling gear, both flippers and masks for both children and adults (we are "just for fun" snorkelers, not avid), a couple of boogie boards and children's sand toys which was very much appreciated and saved us from buying or renting this equipment. They also provide beach towels, chairs, sand mats and a large umbrella. They provide ping pong, tennis and shuffle board equipment and these activities are just steps from the condo. We had several nights of fun playing these games! The hot tub and large heated pool (yes it was warm) were both never crowded (really!) which surprised us, and just steps away from the condo. We never had a problem getting parking spots right in front of the condo even after being away all day. The long, beautiful stretch of sandy beach was just a 5 minute walk and was NEVER crowded (honest!!) and great for shell collecting. The location of the condo was close to the airport, shops and restaurants which made it convenient. We have traveled for many years and this was by far the most organized and well thought out home we have ever rented. Mahalo to both Eric and Elizabeth for providing us with everything we needed, but most of all for helping to make this our most relaxed and enjoyable vacation yet!. We look forward to renting their unit again in the future. Aloha!"

  • Over-the-top wonderful!

"We (6 adults)had a wonderful reunion in Maui (we've known each other since elementary school!) mainly due to our lovely accomodations. The home was clean, spacious, bright and airy and most of all super comfy!! We had everything we could possibly need and more and everything was beautifully organized and easy to access; we even had some snorkeling equipment, games to play at night and fans in every room. The owners were so gracious and accomodating and made everything easy for us. Wish we could go back annually!! The outside amenities were great too, large pool, barbeque, immaculately landscaped grounds - can't say enough!!"

  • Our 50th Anniversary Dream Come True

"When we were married 50 years ago, I made a promise to celebrate Our "Golden Anniversary" in Hawaii with her brother and two sisters (and their spouses) from Japan. Maui was the perfect location because of its beauty, scenery, sightseeing and adventure opportunities. The KOA Resort 2A was the perfect place for us all to stay. The 4 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms allowed us to be together but allowed us to have our privacy too. The spacious living room, dining area and lanai provided comfortable and relaxing areas to just talk, sing, laugh and enjoy being together after a busy day enjoying Maui. The location is perfect for day trips to most of the popular activities and close to many beaches and places to eat. Although eating out was great, we enjoyed cooking many of our meals together in the modern and well equipped kitchen at the resort. The guys prepared most of the meats on the BBQ and had time for male bonding. The only problem that we had was the washing machine stopped in the middle of the rinse cycle. This little "hiccup' was an opportunity in disguise. As my wife and her sisters were wringing out the laundry, it brought back many memories of their childhood in Japan. My wife being the oldest child helped their mother do the laundry by hand. We contacted Kelli and she had the repairman fix it the next day. Other than that little problem, everything was great. We plan to return to Maui and hopefully we can stay here again. Thank you for the wonderful time. Aloha"
