  • Great condo, great property, great location

"We stayed at Cindy's condo for a full week in November 2016. My family, 3 kids and 2 adults, fit perfectly in the two room condo. Cindy has the place fully stocked with beach towels, sand toys, boogie boards, beach chairs, snorkeling gear, you name it, its there. We felt super fortunate to have found this gem. Besides that, the kitchen had every tool we needed to spend Thanksgiving in paradise. The condo is in Kihei, my favorite part of Maui. It is close to groceries, restaurants (Sansei sushi), and of course; beaches. With kids, beach choice is about safety and comfort. I highly recommend Kamaole 2. The grounds of the condo complex are wonderful. They are lush, well maintained, full of flowers and open lawn areas. The pool is huge and the shallow area is nice and spacious - appreciated with two kids under 6. We spent the second half of our trip in Lahaina and greatly missed Cindy's condo. It was the clear winner for us based on comfort, location and amenities. We hope to visit again."

  • Great family vacation spot!!

"We had 2 families with 4 kids from 13 to 9 years old and 2 in-laws, total of 10 people at Koa Resort 2A. Entrance to parking is on Kulani Hakoi (also spelled Kulanihakoi); if driving on S. Kihei (the actual address) you won't see it. Heading west on Kulanihakoi towards the bay/ocean the lot is the last right before S. Kihei road. We thought the location was perfect, very quiet, very convenient to almost everything on the island. Unit is as pictured with good-sized/well-furnished common, dining, and kitchen areas. Also on ground floor are 2 good-sized bedrooms, 1 master bath, 1 common bath, and washing/drying laundry units. The ground floor has A/C units in the dining room and in 1 bedroom. It was always a comfortable temperature on the ground floor. Stairs to the 2nd floor where there is a loft area with 2 twin beds and an open-fence area that overlooks the common area below. This wasn't a problem as we were all going to bed between 8 & 9 with our jet lag so no one was using the common area late. Even if we had used the common area later I don't think the 2 kids in the loft would have been kept awake as the fans/insulation seem to keep noise disturbance coming from below to a minimum. There is a shared bathroom between the loft and another upstairs bedroom. This bedroom has a king bed and a futon. The futon is just a bit wider but shorter than a twin bed which the 2 younger kids used; they are used to sleeping together in relatively tight quarters so not a problem for us. This bedroom gets hot throughout the day (at least in August when we were there); would be great if could get a window A/C unit here. We ran fans in series from the loft into the bathroom and into the bedroom to try to move cool air in and by the time we went to bed we were comfortable/slept well. Ground floor has sliding glass door to the lanai (patio) where there is a large bin full of beach items (2 kid boogie boards, 3 skim boards, snorkel gear/pair of flippers, 1 good portable folding chair, bunch of kiddie toys). From here the pool is just steps away and the kids loved it/wanted to go every day. Also is a nice open grass area and the grounds are very well maintained. This is a great place for a peaceful vacation, not a place for hard-partiers! We never heard any outside noise when in the unit and hopefully no one could hear our kids either! Never went to the local beach as we explored different beaches around the island every day. Mahalo for sharing your home!!"

  • Cozy and clean condo

"This condo is in a quiet neighborhood that's conveniently located in Kihei, steps away from beach. The kitchen and three decent size bedrooms, one of which has four bunk beds, made our stay (eight of us) very comfortable. When we had trouble getting into the house upon arrival as we misunderstood the instructions, the owner was patient on the phone helping us get in. The house is well maintained. However, one main light bulb in one of the two bathrooms went out on the first night and the owner asked us to go to a store to buy one and replace it ourselves, which is the last thing any vacationer wants to do when they travel from afar to Maui, so we had to live with the situation for the rest of our stay. The extra towels are very helpful and are appreciated."

  • Great place, great location, great amenities

"We stayed here for 10 days with 5 adults and 2 kids (1 and 4) and it was a blast. The location is great - lots of beaches, parks and shops around Kihei and a centrally located for tips out to Wailea, Lahaina or wherever else. The pool and BBQ were a huge bonus. The pool is very shallow on one end so we were very comfortable having our kids play there for hours and the BBQ is next to a ping-pong table and the tennis courts which were also a lot of fun. The condo itself is fully stocked with everything you need, including every single kitchen appliance you may want, tv's everywhere, a pack and play for our youngest and beach and pool toys which came in very handy. In the evenings, there is a beach just across the street which is great for watching the sunset and about 5 minutes down the road there are several shops, grocery stores, rental shops and a really nice park with a playground, skate park and fields. Brad was also a really great host. He set the place up great and gave us everything we needed during out stay. Very responsive and polite. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone staying in Maui."
