  • Beautiful Resort and Condo

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Kamaole Sands Resort. The condo was very clean and modern with a really pretty tropical design. It was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. Everything went as promised. The grounds/property was very beautiful and well-maintained. It is very conveniently located and was only a 5 minute walk to the beach. We would definitely stay here again. It was the perfect home away from home. The only critique I would have is that the condo could use some new beach chairs and a new beach umbrella. The beach chairs had seen better days as the straps were ripped with use and time in the sun. The same goes for the umbrella. I would also recommend to the owners that they get new ice cube trays (very minor but a necessity). Everything else was wonderful--quiet and peaceful. We would recommend dining at Monkypod Kitchen in Wailea--great drinks and food. We also enjoyed breakfast a couple of times at the Kihei Café. The fish tacos at Coconut's Fish Café lived up to their reputation. We also spent quite a bit of time in Lahaina. The drive to Lahaina was about 45 minutes. There we went to the Maui Ocean Center and took a submarine ride with Atlantis (which we would highly recommend). Another great dining experience was at Lahaina Grill. The food and drinks were fabulous. There just wasn't enough time to try all that was recommended or do all the things we would have liked, and take the time to enjoy the resort. One other thing, if you don't need or want a fancy car, we would recommend renting a car from Kihei Rent-a-Car. They mostly rent Nissan Sentras. They are inexpensive and have great customer service. They will pick you up at the airport and bring you to their site. It worked very well for us. I would say if you like to be in the thick of it, where all the activity takes place, stay closer to Lahaina. If you prefer a quieter, more peaceful environment, Kihei is perfect. Overall, it was a dream vacation. We will be back!"

  • Great unit for an extended family

"We were three generations on vacation. Missy was very accommodating and the unit was clean and ready for us. The unit is very well equipped in the kitchen, extra bed dings, home supplies, and beach stuff including umbrella and toys. The resort itself was well kept from BBQ, pool and grass. The beach was easy to reach and great for all of us"

  • First Time VRBO user, Hit the Jackpot!

"Being the 1st time we ever tried booing a VRBO let's say we were a bit nervous. I spoke to Tiffanie a couple of times and ended up having 30+ minute conversations both times. The condo is absolutely beautiful and so organized with notes of what is in every cabinet and draw along with instructions on how to use every thing included in the condo. The location was perfect easy access to restaurants, grocery stores, beach, just about everything. 808 Bistro was our favorite. Went once for breakfast and a 2nd time for dinner. It is currently BYOB. which we love. We really have nothing bad to say about the condo. It may be nit picky but the only con we found was the size of the parking spots. We had a Hyundai Elantra and was still very tight getting into spots. Bottom line....if we are ever fortunate enough to be able to make return trip to Maui we would without question try to book this condo!"
