  • A Great Stay at a Great Place!!!

"Just back from a great 10 night stay at this gorgeous unit in Kamaole Sands. As first time users of VRBO, we were a bit skeptical but are so glad we chose to stay here. On top of our great experience in Maui exploring the great beaches of the island, the owner Claudia was so helpful and reassuring with our booking and was more than happy to answer all our questions etc. Great views from the lanai, (not all buildings in this complex have great views but this one does!!) a fully stocked kitchen and a cozy living room/tv areas if you feel like just chilling out for a bit. Another great surprise was the use of the beach gear - cooler, beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrella came in handy at a great beach right across the street. Great for boogie boarding and we even swam with the big sea turtles there. Pack your snorkel gear as there are some decent lava/coral areas at Kam III beach to see some tropical fish even. Can't imagine choosing a hotel room over a unit like this ever again. All in all a great time and can't wait to get back again."

  • Beth and Chris

"We just got back from a fantastic trip to Maui! We have 3 kids ages 9, 7 and 4 and this condo was perfect for our family. Everything we could have wanted for the week was there. We cooked most of our meals right in the condo or down in the bbq's provided. The beach chairs, boogie boards, beach towels, umbrellas, coolers and sand toys all got used by our family! We enjoyed a few evenings out on the lanai watching the sunset, playing games and enjoying a cocktail. The beds were super comfortable. It was great to have two for the kids downstairs and one for us upstairs. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking to go to Maui! Bob and Sue were fantastic to work with and gave us suggestions on things to do while we were there and got back to us immediately with answers to our questions while we were there. I can't wait to go back and we will definitely be staying here again if it's available!"

  • Beautiful Resort and Condo

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Kamaole Sands Resort. The condo was very clean and modern with a really pretty tropical design. It was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. Everything went as promised. The grounds/property was very beautiful and well-maintained. It is very conveniently located and was only a 5 minute walk to the beach. We would definitely stay here again. It was the perfect home away from home. The only critique I would have is that the condo could use some new beach chairs and a new beach umbrella. The beach chairs had seen better days as the straps were ripped with use and time in the sun. The same goes for the umbrella. I would also recommend to the owners that they get new ice cube trays (very minor but a necessity). Everything else was wonderful--quiet and peaceful. We would recommend dining at Monkypod Kitchen in Wailea--great drinks and food. We also enjoyed breakfast a couple of times at the Kihei Café. The fish tacos at Coconut's Fish Café lived up to their reputation. We also spent quite a bit of time in Lahaina. The drive to Lahaina was about 45 minutes. There we went to the Maui Ocean Center and took a submarine ride with Atlantis (which we would highly recommend). Another great dining experience was at Lahaina Grill. The food and drinks were fabulous. There just wasn't enough time to try all that was recommended or do all the things we would have liked, and take the time to enjoy the resort. One other thing, if you don't need or want a fancy car, we would recommend renting a car from Kihei Rent-a-Car. They mostly rent Nissan Sentras. They are inexpensive and have great customer service. They will pick you up at the airport and bring you to their site. It worked very well for us. I would say if you like to be in the thick of it, where all the activity takes place, stay closer to Lahaina. If you prefer a quieter, more peaceful environment, Kihei is perfect. Overall, it was a dream vacation. We will be back!"
