  • Awesome stay at family friendly condo!

"This was our 10th time to Maui and our 8th stay at the Kamaole Sands. The condo is well equipped and one of the most lovely we've stayed at. We enjoyed having the privacy in the upstairs master suite and still be able to keep an eye and ear on our 12 year old son downstairs. The proximity to the pool and bbq is perfect. You are close, but not too close to hear the pool noise. Having the beach chairs, towels and toys helped me to pack lighter. Although we didn't use it, having the printer available in case we needed it for work was great. Also, appreciated having a smart tv with Netflix and we also used our Amazon account (and remember to log out). On our last day we had an issue with the dryer, but Sharon's contact Carol Mulch made a trip to the condo and helped us! So appreciative of her kind gesture to dry our clothes! Very responsive owner and lovely, lovely condo! We would love to return!"

  • An excellent end to our Hawaiin adventure

"After a week on Kauia at two high-end resorts, and a quick stop at a small B&B in Hana, we settled into this Kamaole Sands unit for 5 nights. It turned out great--the apartment had everything one could want, Roy and Audrey offered a lot of great advice, and the complex is very well-maintained. We appreciated the nice pool and hot tub options, even though the beach was a short walk/drive (we drove just because we tended to take too much junk but we could have walked) Kamaole 3 beach wasn't quite as calm as many said but it was winter and huge swells were hitting the rest of maui, so the small waves weren't too much trouble. But for very small kids, the pool or nearby beaches may be better choices. We grilled stakes one night on the available Weber BBQs, and had tons of restaurant options in driving or walking distance. The new maur brewing company taphouse was a 10 minute drive and our favorite--they usually have food trucks, plus 30+ beers! lots of folks were regulars at the Sands--many from Canada--and i can see why they return. It's not a fancy resort but a very good value in a nice, casual part of Maui."

  • Great property, wonderful unit, outstanding location!

"This unit is pretty much as pictured. Nicely furnished and well outfitted with beach chairs, small cooler, boogie boards, beach towels, etc. The kitchen had everything we needed except a dish towel. The air conditioners worked well and combined with the ceiling fans, we were cool despite higher than normal temperatures (low 90s -- hey, that's what we get for visiting in August!). I guess some other units have trouble with air conditioning. We made good use of the supplies provided, as well as the BBQs on the property and the pool. The location across the street from Kamaole III is ideal for a quick swim in the morning, as well as sunset viewing at night. The only thing I might suggest is looking at getting a new mattress. The owner provides very complete instructions and quick responses to your questions. We would be happy to stay in 9-103 again!"

  • Beautiful condo

"The condo is amazing. Very clean, very convenient location, quiet but close to gate beach exit. The patio is large with gorgeous view on the ocean. Owners are very responsible and respond very fast. You do not need to worry about umbrella/chairs or towels. Everything is there."
